Wow, this puts Lego as company number one for the movie merchandising.

Awesome I go to NYC in April,I'm hoping there's a target in NYC or New Jersey :D

Hmmm... I'd much rather wait for the trilogy edition, but I do so want this figure... Perhaps I can convince myself that he's not necessary for a complete Hobbit collection. After all, he could become available elsewhere.

I don't think I need a full Hobbit collection (I sated that urge with the original LotR figs, and even then, I never did get around to Theodon), so I'll probably pass on this, but having said that, I still think this is really awesome.

Amazing, never would have predicted that, would have got the DVD anyway so spending a little extra wont matter too much

That fig would be great for a custom Hobbit.

Hmm, not a bad looking minifig... Still, I'm not a big minifig collector, nor do I wish to spend 25 dollars for the movie. :P I'll take a pass on this one.

@Dash: Don't worry about finding a Target, they're pretty dang numerous here in the States. :P Just look for the big red bullseye.

That Bilbo looks pretty cool! I'm thinking his jacket is blue for Blu-Ray. My laptop plays blu-ray so I might get My mom to get it.

@Albus, my opinion exactly.

I was gonig to hold-out for a possible "Extended Version" down the road, but alas I'll have to buy now!

Was considering buying this in April but this has definitely persuaded me. I'm a sucker for an exclusive Fig.

Dash there are quite a few in NYC, shouldn't be hard

Buying this and putting it on eBay without the figure.

The box says blueray + DVD + ultraviolet. If you don't have blueray it is OK!

I don't understand why a "6+" label is needed on there for the minifigure. The movie is rated PG-13, so...

If you want to know why the blue jacket:

@Dash:
You can also order from Target online. ;)

@King J Thanks: What I meant was my mom thought it was blue for blu-ray. I can't wait untill it comes out.

Picked up mine today, woohoo! :) P.S. it was $22.99 (plus another 5% off with a Target redcard)

Posted by Heishi in United States, 21 Mar 2013 08:59

Picked mine up last night at second Target in my area. The exclusive box set with minifig was not in the video/audio area. they were on an end display at the check out registers. Informed a fellow shopper of the special box. He was holding the standard blu-ray/dvd/DC box. Made his day to find the minifig.
