    More details...

Both Huw & I are travelling for our respective full-time jobs at the moment, so news is a little slower than it would be normally, so apologies for the delay posting this ...

US based Brickset member 'yellowcastle' has obtained a full set of the collectable minifigs from his TRU & has put together a handy 'reference card' for the US bar codes, which he has kindly allowed us to host here on Brickset !  Thanks mate !

UPDATE - I've uploaded a higher resolution version of the 'cheat sheet', again thanks to 'yellowcastle'

I just printed them out! I've been needing these! :O)

Posted by StarWarsManiac in United States, 19 May 2010 17:46

What can we do with these barcodes?

Even though I don't know what we can do with them I want to thank yellowcastle for giving these to us all! =-)

Posted by IlovePowerMiners in United Kingdom, 19 May 2010 17:52

We can estimate what minifig we get! :)

Traveling to TRU on the weekend! ;P

Posted by StarWarsManiac in United States, 19 May 2010 18:45

OK, thanks IlovePowerMiners. =-)

Posted by Zacherano in United States, 19 May 2010 18:46

Thanks so much yellowcastle!

@StarWarsManiac - The collectable minifigures feature two barcodes, a regular barcode which is the same for all figures and a special barcode which differentiates between the figures. In order to get a full set of 16, yellowcastle has created a barcode key for lucky U.S. citizens like us! :-)

Yoo-Hoo! It's Off to Toys r us For Me!
Edit: Just Printed it Out. Hope it Works! Good Luck Everybody!

Posted by pitfall69 in United States, 19 May 2010 20:40

I went to my local Toys R Us today and was ableto grab a display case.I was able to complete 3 sets with almosta 4th completed set. I didn't feel the bags and didn't use a bar code chart and was able to open all 16 by just sorting the packages just I would do baseball cards using the bar codes. The Crash Test Dummy, Ninja and Diver were the most plentiful (5 each).

Thank you yellow castle

anyone see these in LA or orange county in california??????

Posted by bmwlego in United States, 19 May 2010 21:59

great cheat sheet yellow castle. it helped me out today when I bought a 2nd set for a friend and wanted choice extras for my collection (spaceman, zombie, heck, nearly all of them!). thank you!

If you forget to bring the cheat sheet with you and want a whole set, don't forget the obvious, which is to find 16 different bar codes!

Posted by Crt2 in United States, 19 May 2010 23:40

@Bmwlego: Oh-So it Worked? Great! Sure Hope They're at The Modesto TRU!

Courtesy of my Google G1 and the free barcode scanner app I’ve scanned all of the barcodes that were posted thanks to yellow castle and the wonderful Admins of Brickset.com Below is the numerical result from scanning each of the barcodes listed above and in case your curious no I have not found any of the figs in my neck of the woods this is all form the cheat sheet posted online. Please note I know that the first seven digits are the same for all of the figs however I left them in here in case anyone decides to post this online say perhaps with a pic corresponding fig (on a gallery that will show up in a Google search hint hint) I hope that they will use the full # as opposed to just the last five digits

Thank you mrdennings! Hopefully this will cut down on the hoarding? Also, I don't want 5 of one and none of another so this is a big help

Posted by jwsmart in United States, 20 May 2010 07:48

For the few Windows Mobile users out there: If you use Barcodezilla http://www.barcodezilla.net/Mobile.aspx - it should do all the work for you.
I just finished scanning in that cheat sheet, and uploading anything that wasn't already in the database for BarcodeZilla, so everything should be in there now.

@mrdennings - If you don't have a WM phone, but you can get the raw numbers like you have, just punch them into barcodezilla's web page.

Posted by mrdennings in United States, 20 May 2010 09:36

In addation to Barcodezilla it appears that someone has been updating upcdatabase.com with these barcodes as well I'd like to take this time to personally thank that person as I only recently realized that 1. it was searchable from my phone and 2. I could have updated it as well (I added spaceman before I noticed that others were added) any way thanks much and hopefully whoever you are you read these comments.

Posted by blueclone65 in United States, 20 May 2010 11:40

i have confirmed with my local brand store in TX that they will limit these to 5 bags per person.

Posted by tman684 in United States, 20 May 2010 15:04

ONLY 5!!!! thats rediculous!!! or however you spell it ! But anyways, the barcode cheat sheat is a great help! thanks!

Posted by xena6296 in United States, 20 May 2010 17:37

For members in CA, TRU at San Mateo and Redwood City got the minifigures now, as well as the Kingdom Impulse 7955 & 7953, which already out of stock at TRU's web site.

Posted by r2d2qa in United States, 20 May 2010 17:51

YES!!! Perfect! I'm going to definitely print this!

Posted by darrens5150 in United States, 20 May 2010 19:18

Wow yellowcastle what can we say...................Thanks!!!

Posted by Magnus77 in United States, 20 May 2010 21:40

Just wanted to thank Yellowcastle for this list. It helped me get my full set at Toys R Us today!

Posted by Guy7 in United States, 20 May 2010 22:12

Just finished calling around the San Francisco Bay Area... nothing. Not in San Mateo or Redwood City; must be sold out already. :(

Posted by Zwing in United Kingdom, 21 May 2010 11:32

is it me or is the printing on tribal hunter different to the picture on the leaflet? (sorry if this is off topic)

Posted by meat1980 in United States, 21 May 2010 15:28

Could someone who has found these at a TRU in the US please post the 6 digit Item Number from their receipt so I can call around to my local TRUs. Thanks!

Posted by Magnus77 in United States, 21 May 2010 16:04

Meat - the item number for us tru is 673419130479 for the minifigs. Good luck!!

Posted by xena6296 in United States, 21 May 2010 16:09

To: meat1980 - There is no 6 digit item number on the receipt, the cashier scan one of the bag and for all. But the twelve digits shown on my receipt: 673419130479, not matching any item of MRDENNINGS provided.

Posted by meat1980 in United States, 21 May 2010 16:10

Great thanks so much!

Posted by Legosmama in United States, 21 May 2010 16:27

I was given this invoice number from an employee at TRU that he wrote down....306565
Hope that helps!

Posted by darrens5150 in United States, 21 May 2010 20:35

Yes by use their item #306565 it's easier when calling or inquiring, about the series 1 minifigures. The long sku number they have to go to another screen / system when checking, by using #306565 you'll cut down on waiting especially on the phone..

Posted by Emerald Night in United States, 21 May 2010 20:41

Are the numbers Mr.Dennings gave us on the packaging or is there just one barcode that you can use? Also, is it easy to feel through the bags for distinct parts such as the magician's top hat?

Posted by graymattr in United States, 21 May 2010 23:25

Thank you for sharing the barcode scans. I only wanted three and really didn't want to deal with hit or miss. A lady in the aisle saw me comparing barcodes and said what a great idea it was and that it was silly that you don't know what you're going to get. I offered her my sheet but she didn't want any figs as she was buying three $20 sets already. Moral of the story: AFOL's are awesome.

Posted by Zacherano in United States, 21 May 2010 23:34

Hear, hear!

Posted by i like guitars in United States, 22 May 2010 00:57

If you're in Orange County check out the La Mirada toys r us, there might not be much left but there are some there. a guy there bought 2 boxes and there were 2 boxes left which have been picked over by myself.

Posted by absolutelylez in France, 22 May 2010 20:17

Can I ask - to the people who have bought full boxes. We know that each box comes with the same quantity of different figs - BUT - Are the figures always packed in the same order?? Is for example the cheerleader always in a specific section of the box, or are they entirely mixed up? I read that some people kept opening the same figures in sequence. With this information it would be possible to really speed up the search for a specific figure if we know which row it is in, etc.

Many thanks

Posted by Crt2 in United States, 22 May 2010 21:27

@absolutelylez: Saaaaaay.....You've Got Something Goin' There! But I Doubt That's How it's Done. :(

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, 22 May 2010 23:16

Very interesting question...

And since all our boxes had the same numbers of figures, it's possible they are packed a certain way...

Mine were indeed bunched together, for the most part...

Looking at the open box from the front, and starting from the right side to the left side, this was the order I found

Cowboy
Spaceman
Skater
Cheerleader
Ninja
Magician
Nurse
Dummy
Robin Hood
Wrestler
Caveman
Zombie
Indian
Diver
Clown
Robot

Let me know if this is what others found! :o)

Posted by AZFIREWOLF in United States, 23 May 2010 00:15

Got almost all of them today. Missed it by 3, but got 5 dummies, 3 indians, and 2 clowns extra. Advantage me. Thinking that someone should do a Killer Klowns from Outspace Lego movie now.

According to my contact at TRU. The distribution center that feeds Arizona, Nevada, and parts of CA only has 600 boxes left and then they are gone. If the TRU that is close to you is not a high generator for the company good luck. My contact told me that those stores will not be getting any (in most cases)

Thou it was fun going all over town to find the minifigures I am still going to be happy when my 2 packages arrive from ASIA and when my local Lego store has them on sale. However 5 per day per customer does suck. Oh well at least I have 2 complete series. It will be a good time.

Now to wait for series 2 and has anyone heard if there is going to be a series 3? You would think that there is going to be. Series 1 has only been out a few weeks and some stores are already sold out and will not be getting anymore in.

Posted by RoboBrick in United States, 23 May 2010 07:42

At the tru in Fort Laderdale they are selling them.

Posted by Worker Joe in United States, 23 May 2010 16:56

This was so helpful. I just picked up a complete set at my local TRU! It took a long time to figure out which bar codes were which [UGH!], but it was worth it! Thanks Brickset and yellowcastle!

Posted by blueclone65 in United States, 23 May 2010 18:33

UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! i have not found anything in the Dallas area.... has anyone else?

Posted by 1265 in United States, 23 May 2010 18:56

I've checked many TRU in the North Dallas area.....nothing yet.

Posted by krysto2002 in United States, 23 May 2010 19:36

2010 sets have hit Long Island! Collectible figures can be found at TRUs in Riverhead and across Long Island, but in very limited quantities. I almost picked up SP central, but didn't have enough with me... The new sets look great though.

Posted by mrdennings in United States, 23 May 2010 19:41

ROBOBRICK which TRU? I hit the ones in boca, on Broward Blvd and by the pembroke lakes mall and non of em had them in stock.

Posted by WolfnWendy in United States, 23 May 2010 21:52

One of the TRU in San Antonio got a single display box. They put them in a hanging basket near all the other legos. I only missed getting what I wanted by a few packs that someone else got before i got there. You could tell it was random stuff missing. I hit them for about 25 of them (no full set but I wasn't trying for it). I am hoping to catch some if the next store gets any. I really want a zombie horde and 1 zombie is not a horde.

I was surprised they only got a single display box and not a case of them. They did not expect to get any more in anytime soon as the lego rep told them they would be lucky if they got the one box.

Should these be showing up anywhere else other than TRU and Lego brand stores? There are a couple of specialty toy stores that carry lego here that I could hope get them. But anytime I call and ask about stuff they have no idea what I am talking about. It took my 10 minutes to convince a guy that I was not looking for a set like city/kingdom/atlantis or otherwise and then he was all uppity about it when he found them.

Posted by Crt2 in United States, 23 May 2010 21:55

@WolfnWendy: erm, Is It Possible That you Should Feel/Compare Barcodes to Get your Horde? >_>

Posted by rainstorm26 in United States, 24 May 2010 17:16

Does anyone know if the packages for the minifigs say only made in China or does it have a bunch of diferent countries listed as country of manufacture?

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 24 May 2010 18:01

They are 'Made in China'. Nowhere else.

Posted by WolfnWendy in United States, 24 May 2010 18:53

It is not an issue of cannot find which one is the zombie (thanks Yellowcastle). It is the matter that there was only 1 little box in all of my area. Not even a case.

Posted by Worker Joe in United States, 24 May 2010 20:04

There were like a million boxes at my local TRU! We dug through the boxes for at least a half an hour, trying to get a whole set plus a few extras [Zombies!]...

Posted by 1265 in United States, 25 May 2010 00:46

For those who ordered a vast amount from Lego S&H....did you receive a box and/or just individual bags?

Posted by legowomen1980p in United States, 25 May 2010 01:09

I went to legoland in Chicago/schaumburg today along with a nearby lego store. they had them and people were going crazy there...

Lucky I had my list that yellowcastle gave us.... I got the figures I wanted...

The clown is one of the best sets....

I can't wait to build my market scene and add the red hair as Red cherries next to my green hair which I use for lettuce...

Posted by blueclone65 in United States, 25 May 2010 11:44

just confirmed......both LEGO brand stores in the North Dallas area have them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by mo123567 in United States, 25 May 2010 15:57

There are two TRUs in my area. Both got a box in yesterday. One had the box literally hidden under the front desk. We had to ask for them to let us buy some and the limit was five each. My wife and I each got 5, early in the morning and we came back later when the shift had changed to buy 5 more each for a total of 20. It looked like the box was still almost full, probably because no one knew it was even there.

We called the other TRU about 30 minutes away and they said the limit was 2 per person. The box was at the front counter but unattended. By avoiding anyone with a supervisor name tag we managed to get 20 from there as well bringing our total to 40. I get the feeling, however, that the this box had been ransacked by bar code experts for Cheerleaders and Clowns.

With help from the barcode image on this site (thanks) We managed to get a least one of each but not a very balanced selection. I have five of some and only one some others. Still, some of you lucky people got a case but I bet I had more fun tracking them down. ;)

PS: I have a case coming in June!
PPS: The local Lego store said that they will have a limit of 5 per person (per day) as well.

Posted by bader in United States, 27 May 2010 07:32

My TRU still has no Collectable Minifigures, I want to get them there because the workers are sharp as marbels; I can probably walk out with a sealed box. The Lego store near me Limits 5/person/day, at that rate it will take me 7 years to get all 16... my math could be wrong.

Posted by Crt2 in United States, 27 May 2010 15:48

Thanks yellowcastle for the list. it helped me get 6 of the CMs today at the modesto TRU!

Posted by James24 in United States, 28 May 2010 02:46

Thank you Yellowcastle!!!! I went to my local TRU a few days ago and they only had five left so I bought what they had, I went back today and they had just opened two new boxes. I was able to complete one set and then bought another set. The Victorville TRU had not limit on what you could buy. =)
My girlfriend was able to find them all with the barcodes within 20 minutes.
Shes the best!!!

GO LEGO MINIFIGURES!!!!!!!!
Now just have to wait for series 2!

Posted by fdwang in United States, 28 May 2010 16:18

When does Series 2 come out, or when will it leak out @ TRU?

Posted by collectormom in United States, 28 May 2010 22:51

Found most figures at the Palisades Mall Lego Store today in NY. My husband mixed up one of the barcodes so we wound up with 2 nurses. And there were no cheerleaders so the hunt continues. They were located up front by the registers in the bins not in their own box. And they did not limit how many we got.

Ironically the 2 TRU stores in this area still haven't gotten them and don't even show them coming as part of their inventory

Posted by richardnerica in United States, 01 Jun 2010 01:46

Hi Yellowcastle, I just recently ran into this forum and read that there is a cheat sheet you posted. I didnt find the link. Could you kindly post it again?

Thanks!

Posted by I like Lego in Canada, 01 Jun 2010 11:48

I just noticed something! The US Barcodes are the same as the Canadian ones!

Posted by richardnerica in United States, 01 Jun 2010 21:02
