The LEGO Shop At Home sale has started, and the 2008 sets are now available for order in the UK. They have not appeared in our product feed yet (so you'll still see nothing if you click on the link above), so click on the yellow graphic link on the menu to the left and get ordering!

The sale includes some interesting sets which are selling out fast, so don't delay, order today :-)

Update Jan 2nd: The feed now includes new sets and those on sale. The link above now works for the UK!

Cool, the Indy sets are out... Plus the STAR WARS SETS! Look at that rogue shadow!

Missed the half price Train Shed. Sob! Would really have suited my Hobby Train (bought half price!)

However, Town Plan is only €130 for us here in Ireland, as opposed to the €150 for Germany. I'm not complaining :) The only question is this month or next for ordering :)

Cargo Plane is out of my budget at €55, as is the Police Headquarters at €75.

Dwarfs Mine is a must have at €50, as is the Beach House (€30) and Truck with Forklift (€25). All great value and awesome sets and parts.

I hope at some stage to pick up Air Mail Plane and the Mail Van, €12 and €8 are just at the upper end of what I'd pay for them.

Impulse sets are pricey at €3.50 but I do want one each of the good wizard and knight.

So, what do I order from S@H and how soon, and what do I wait for in the shops?

Posted by brickzone in Ireland, 31 Dec 2007 13:22

The Indy set I'll buy first is the tomb at €25 which is good value. The race for stolen treasure is worse value, with less parts than that but at €35!!

I managed to get a hold of the new star wars before Christmas, here in little Switzerland. I was very skeptical of the rogue shadow from all the pictures, but wow, it's a great set. A fun build, stable, with lots of hidden functions. The Hailfire droid is the only new set that just doesn't do it for me - way too pricey for what you get, although the model itself is quite a neat build.
Since this is about all the new sets, well, I finally managed to get a hold of a UCS X-Wing(7190) from the year 2000, at a decent price. Yeah, gotta love star wars.
Haven't seen any new Castle or Indy sets in the shops yet, although S@H has them now. Unluckily can't order them over Brickset for here in Switzerland. Oh well, so be it

Posted by Stormtrooper370 in United States, 31 Dec 2007 14:20

Their available in the US to, i checked. it also appears that they are available in my state, as the lego distribution center in the US was quietly moved to somewhere in the US, and also because i got the rebel scout speeder for christmas.

Posted by Stormtrooper370 in United States, 31 Dec 2007 14:23

oops, not in the US, in the midwest

I ordered Storm Lasher, Rebel Scout Speeder X2, Imperial Dropship X2, Alien Jet X2, and the Knight X2!!! Is it just me or does Star Wars become more expensive each year? The Hailfire Droid is 20 pounds and the Rogue Shadow is 50 pounds! Its the same amount in Euros!!! ;{

Posted by DarkYamiDragon, 01 Jan 2008 06:23

I wish they would release the new Castle sets soon. But, yay! Lego sale!

Posted by madwolf, 01 Jan 2008 06:32

There are some cool sets out there I want them. If I am aloud :(

Posted by halfpenguinhalflego in United Kingdom, 01 Jan 2008 15:12

Why is there no castle sets in England?

Posted by Commander-Cody in United Kingdom, 01 Jan 2008 15:45

There's still DWARVES MINE :)

Posted by legolover94 in New Zealand, 01 Jan 2008 20:47

When are the rest of the city stuff coming out? (Coast Guard stuff)

Posted by Elle82 in New Zealand, 02 Jan 2008 01:22

The Town Plan and Mail Van will cost me $280.00 NZ$ plus $80.00 shipping, but they sure look worth it. Im guessing the word 'exclusive' means i will have to get Town Plan from Lego directly? Anyone know any sites that will ship to New Zealand?

Posted by legofan5445 in Singapore, 02 Jan 2008 03:52

Hi! I'll probably be the last to post any reviews cause here in Singapore, the sets come in late and EXPENSIVE! and Lego Direct Shop doesn't ship to Singapore so we're like stuck....

Posted by legolover94 in New Zealand, 02 Jan 2008 05:41

Hey Elle82. Wait a for a bit cos then the Town Plan is goin to come out in toyworld and the its only $200 NZ.

Posted by Luhan in Portugal, 02 Jan 2008 09:13

Posted by littlelegoluke in United States, 02 Jan 2008 23:48

I dont see any sales :S :@ :?

Posted by brickzone in Ireland, 03 Jan 2008 17:15

Troll's Assault Wagon is on S@H now too, but it is already listed as sold out (an error surely, or are they just taunting us?)

Posted by Commander-Cody in United Kingdom, 04 Jan 2008 16:09

I'm pretty sure 'sold out' is an error. They must either not have that product in stock for delivery yet or they don't want to begin selling it yet!

Dwarf Vader
The Hoth Rebel Base was a Limited Edition Release only available through LEGO and Toys R Us. Limited Release means few produced, not like most other sets you can find in stores that are produced in much larger quantities and easier to find.

In NZ we don't have Toys R Us. Its called toyword but its tiny compared to Toys R Us.

Posted by legolover94 in New Zealand, 05 Jan 2008 03:51

Yea toyworld is getting around 23 exclusive sets and the rebel base was one of them last year.

Posted by legolover94 in New Zealand, 05 Jan 2008 03:55

They are getting 23 exlusive sets this year because i called the manukau toyworld and he said they were.

Posted by legolover94 in New Zealand, 05 Jan 2008 16:57

Yea that Republic cruiser is pretty cool. Have you got the town plan, i want that set

Posted by bmwlego in United States, 06 Jan 2008 11:56

Town Plan is THE SET that I want this year. Last year the set I HAD to HAVE was Cafe Corner and I couldn't be any happier with that set. I just wish it was more affordable because I would love to buy another 2! The bricks are not your basic colors, they are navy blue, brown, tan and dark red for the most part. It is the most detailed and realistic building set I have ever built. I wonder if LEGO is planning any other sets that would be a part of the modular city line such as Cafe Corner and Market Street. I hope so. I read in Brickjournal that LEGO needed to see if this type of line did well before they went ahead with more sets like CC.

Yea the Cafe Corner is awesome. Especially when you put detail in the inside.

Posted by legolover94 in New Zealand, 08 Jan 2008 18:40

Did you get 2? Redfox

Posted by bmwlego in United States, 08 Jan 2008 21:42

Cafe Corner should be 139.99, not 200. It is a lot but it is really amazing and detailed. As legolover94 mentioned, inside details are your responsibility as there are no inside details.

Posted by legolover94 in New Zealand, 09 Jan 2008 16:26

redfox. I got the Cafe Corner from my locol toy shop and they sold it for $167NZ which is really cheap. They only got 3 of them in.

Posted by jonmz8, 12 Jan 2008 21:18
