Once again, screwed by being in Europe but not in the EU...

The one PoP set I needed, Battle of Alamut, already out of stock! C'est la vie I guess!

I never think of looking for Lego bargains at DisneyStore.co.uk, maybe I'll keep a closer eye on it in the future.

Ive been waiting ages to get fight for the dagger in a sale and this was the best oppertunity. I got ostrich race while I was at it;) shame almut was sold out. I bet it will come back in stock now and ill being crying myself to sleep. Anyway, I'd like to thank Brickset for keeping us all informed on sales and stuff as its really helpful.

I hope this happens in the U.S., I'd definetely buy one!

Posted by cjg in United States, 26 Jun 2010 17:25

:( Wish it was in US.

This WAS a fantastic offer - too late now! All sold out . . . :-(

Posted by brickzone in Ireland, 26 Jun 2010 18:15

Argh - even with the £8 shipping for Ireland this would have been nice - but they are sold out now! :(

Posted by grelb32 in United States, 26 Jun 2010 19:03

That's a good deal. I wish that they had it in the US ... However, I got my Battle of Alamut on eBay for $57 (including shipping) a couple days ago, and I've seen it go for $50 (NIB, including shipping), so if you're in America, it's only ten bucks more to get it on eBay. Then again, counting the shipping from Disney.com, I'm sure that it's actually probably about the same...

Europe rules - at least prizewise: 80 EURO = 99 USD (instead of 85 EURO listprize) is the best "offer" for Alamut over here . . . :-(
I feel a little bit exploited - wont buy at this price - ciao LEGO - like the caroussel . . . keep it or sell it in overseas!

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 27 Jun 2010 03:32

@Alterbrick, that'll be the 'Brickset effect', then :-)

Alamut was sold out when I looked but I did get 4 Fight for the Dagger and 4 Ostrich races.

Posted by lego_nutt in United Kingdom, 27 Jun 2010 03:36

O NO!!!! i bought alamut for the full price last week....grrrrrrrrrrrr.....

Posted by atkinsar in United Kingdom, 27 Jun 2010 04:08

I couldn't resist picking up a spare Fight for the Dagger, Ostrich Race and Desert Attack, just can't resist a bargain I guess! Still gutted about not being able to get Battle of Alamut, really don't want to pay full whack now. Seems like only Desert Attack is left now.

picked up all sets EXCEPT The Battle of Alamut in Disney store in Belfast. The shop assistant told me they did not receive any of the Alamut sets in, but have lots + lots of the rest. Shame, as £35 is a definate bargain for Alamut.

Anyway, i bought another set of each kit as they are pretty good. Got the lot for £47 - not bad really...

I was sad to see that they were all sold out online, but I managed to go legoland windsor yesterday and picked up pizza planet truck, two kingdoms sets, and 5 collectable minifigs (they are in no short supply of them at legoland at least :), and today I looked in my local watford disney store branch and they had everything but Alamut!! I managed to pick up quest against time and all the action figures and the dagger of time....so if its not online...check your local branch!

Nice, how much is P&P?

Posted by atkinsar in United Kingdom, 29 Jun 2010 14:52

So, did anyone manage to get Alamut for £35? It would seem not from these comments. I've not checked my local disneystore recently, might have a quick look this weekend.

Posted by keithkram in United Kingdom, 29 Jun 2010 16:51

@atkinsar I went to the Norwich disney store today and no Alamut, just all the others, I was told the sets only came in on friday and went straight into the 50% sale, I was told they never got any of the Alamut sets.

Posted by Crt2 in United States, 29 Jun 2010 17:48

Gah! I Could've Bought The Alamunt for $40 if It Was Here! Oh, The Agony!

Posted by legomatt in United Kingdom, 02 Jul 2010 01:23

I got them! I Got THEM! This is the first time i've ever benefitted from an online heads-up regarding sale news... I am sooo CHUFFED! YAAAY... I actually managed to get every set (except Alamut) from a not-so-local Disney Store... i couldn't believe they had any left after all this time, usually everything goes in seconds where i live. I wasn't going to bother with Persia until the sale, but one thing i did feel after building them was that the price felt right. When i compare everything i got for £65 (got two markets), with Battle for Endor (£75), they're roughly the same... so I don't think the Persia sets ever really justified their full retail price. So, keep looking folks, they're still out there at 50% off.
