A lot of new pictures of forthcoming sets have been added to the image repository at LEGO.com, including HERO Factory, Star Wars, Technic and City. Some of them first appeared at Toys N Bricks and Eurobricks, but I've now dowloaded them all, and added them here as main and additional images.

The City Transport set is truly incredible. It's the best set I've seen all year! I especially love the tram. A great addition to any city, IMO.

Why do I get the feeling that LEGO is deliberately trying to bankrupt me this year? :P I haven't bought a City set in years, but 8404 is, even if it's priced less-than-unreasonably, more than enough to change that; it looks simply amazing.

The AT AT looks like the first full size one, I like the the new star destroyer :)

Posted by Dlakii in Australia, 27 Jun 2010 08:04

@above: Nope, there was one as far back as 2003, set 4483. That's also not taking into account the motorised one from 2007 or the fact that one was buildable with the Dark Side Developer Kit. At any rate, I for one don't intend to procure this version of it; "new" minifigs aside, it offers pretty much nothing new in comparison to the previous incarnations, and indeed I'm not too fond of how they've altered / stripped-down the leg structure. But yeah, if one doesn't own the old ones, it'd certainly be great.

Although I have the motorised walking AT-AT (10178), I must admit that the new AT-AT looks fantastic. Hopefully this time it will be able to hold snowtroopers in the interior like the first AT-AT (4483) but I'll have to wait and see. Cad Bane's speeder looks like a cheaper way to get those senate commandos instead of buying the Venator class republic attack cruiser and Cad bane's speeder doesn't look too bad. Also the UCS imperial shuttle looks awesome! It's got great detail and is finally minifigure scale. I just wished Lego made a compartment at the back to hold the Emperor : ( ,like the other imperial shuttles. In conclusion they all look great but I'm going to have to save a lot of money for all these sets.

I'll have to get that AT-AT (I don't have any of the previous ones), but I'm wondering if Han feels cold since he doesn't seem to have a parka. Also, that City Family House looks nice, I like how the lawn chair is built.

@Dlakii - I think you've misunderstood DrathMaul's post; I read it that he was saying the new AT-AT looks like the one in set #4483, which was the first full-size one; he was not claiming that this one is the first full size AT-AT.

@bluemoose: Whoops, I'd say you're right; thanks for correcting me. Gah, this error is bad even by my standards. :P

Hey guys! I was watching BBC America this morning and I saw a commercial for a show called "James May's Toy Stories". Apparently he does extreme things with toys. An episode entitled "Legos" will air tomorrow, to my understanding, on BBC America. I assume it will air on all other variations of the channel in other countries. From what I understand he is using over 3 million LEGO bricks to build a full-scale house made entirely of LEGOs, which he will then attempt to live in. I don't know when it'll air, but its around 9 AM here in my part of America, and I think it'll air tomorrow night sometime around dinner or after, so its worth checking for and DVRing. Thanks!

The new house looks pretty good - a tree fort, a hot dog, a lawn chair, a three story house (if you count the top attic floor), and several good pieces - the new inverted arches and 8 2x4 tiles for the sidewalk.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 27 Jun 2010 10:45

@Greyface, that aired in the UK over Chrisrtmas. It's quite a fun programme but you'll cringe at some of it.

Nooooo... no pigtails! Oh well, great-looking sets though...

Those star wars sets look really good , Cad Bane's a nice addition , the at-at's good , Imperial star destroyer is cool. But those city sets are must-haves. The transport set which is what every town needs plus a proper scaled figure house finally. Must buys

I still don't have any of the AT-ATs and I was planning to get the motorized one but this one comes along... Any suggestions? Also the midi scales might be cool to collect them all- it would look so nice. Probably getting cad bane's speeder for well, cad bane :P and also I hope i can get the Imperial Shuttle. Wow so many Star Wars set to get....

Posted by DrathMaul1997 in United Kingdom, 27 Jun 2010 14:56

@Dlakii Yes, 4483 was the one I was referring to :)

I like the city transport one, its just i would have much preferred they vote for the town square one.
Id love to have more buildings but instead all we get is more and more vehicles or remakes of older buildings :(

All these sets look great! That Slave 1 sure is getting to me I want to know when it will FINALLY be out to the public of USA. That City Transport does look cool. Sadley I went to my local Toys R us hoping to buy the minifigures but to no avail, I looked everywhere: the aisle, and the counter. Just a big aisle dedicated to Toy Story 3! I settled on the Prince of Persia Desert Ambush set I've been longing to get.

@R4-G9: Do they have the Slave 1?

Posted by R4-G9 in Canada, 29 Jun 2010 14:10

yes they did it was $109.99 cad i don't know how much it will be in the us.

Posted by Darren Coppinger in Ireland, 30 Jun 2010 12:42
