    Owners of Android phones are now spoilt for choice for collectable minifig applications. Brickset member nicjansma has written an app which he's called Minifig Collector which combines barcode scanning with collection management. It even contains images of the barcodes for when you fancy scanning them by eye.

I wish I had an android phone but the barcode sheet works like a charm for me! Just today I got 3 robots, 3 spacemen and a forestman. Also people say that there is a shortage of collectable minifigures in their country, I just thought I'd say that it doesn't appear to be a shortage over here. Today, I saw 6 boxes of collectable minifigures in my local smyths and that's not including the boxes on the counter!

P.S These collectable minifigures are going to bankrupt me : D.

I think series 2 is coming out in late November early December. That is just a guess.
I REALLY WANT SERIES 2 TO COME OUT!!!!!!!!!!!

The app is great, nice and simple so you dont have to carry a piece of paper with you on every shopping trip.

Lego said that series 1 would be available in 'June' ... they actually started to appear in April.
Lego have said that series 2 would be available in 'September' ... I'd expect them to start appearing during August.

I bought the Android EVO and this app works great in practice at home with my own collections of mini figs that i tested it on. The problem is that there are so few boxes of figs hitting the shelves it is not an app I can use yet. It is a brilliant app however.

So few boxes are hitting the shelves here that is it easier to just buy the whole box than try to cherry pick it.

For anyone with an iPhone the RedLaser app was able to scan the bar codes and pull up info on the different mini figs.

Thanks for your nice comments guys. Feedback is welcome! I'll definitely update the app for series 2 once the barcodes are known.

And who knows, maybe there'll be some sort of identifying feature on the series 3 minifigs that the camera can recognize.

I've tried diffrent apps om my iPhone, they all worked well but I found it quicker to just compare the barcodes on a paper or from a PDF on my phone..

Series 2 is available in Legoland Billund. They were put on the shelves Thursday July 8th. The trophy for the karate minifig is fantastic. Now bring on Series 3!
