    Toys 'R' Us (TRU) will be having a special Friends and Family 20%-off sale off all items - including LEGO - from 29 July 2010 till 30 July 2010. Given the rarity of sales at TRU stores in Australia, this would be a good chance to pick up some of the TRU Exclusive sets (for example, set 5980) at a reasonable price.

    However, to be eligible for the 20%-off discount, you must present the special "Friends and Family" coupon.  This coupon was emailed out to those subscribed to the TRU mailing list, but as a special gesture to all you folks reading Brickset, here is a link to the coupon - simply print and present!

If only this was in the UK, then the tru exclusive set (the one with the bus and monorail and station)would be £80 not at the big whopping £100.

@Captain Aardvark - This coupon and sale is ONLY for Toys 'R' Us stores in Australia, not in the United States. Please do not be surprised if TRU stores in North America do not accept the coupon.

Without a coupon you can get 20%-off at TRU Germany when you buy for more than 30€. From July 29th to Aug 4th.
You can also check the flyer on their webpage to see a few offers. :-)
Thought I add this information for all german LEGO collectors and everyone who can jump easily over the border.

There is nothing that good. The US TRU BOGOF sale was better, esp having the new technic lego sets. Wish we had that here :(

It should be noted that this is for full priced stock only (which here is usually over RRP). I think even with discount the Toy Story Pizza planet express truck would work out to $80 US, so it's not the greatest deal!

Although some toys r us have some older stock which is a good opportunity to grab at a discount, and the HOme One exclusive will be $160 AU for about the 5th time.

Chomp-chomp! They have a few boxes of minifigs series 1 at TRU TTP (Adelaide) at AUS$3 per minifig, or a very agreable AUS$2.40 after the 20% discount :-D Off you go!
