Any TRU sightings of these yet? We're going on vacation next week and I'd love for my kids to be able to pick some of these up if the weather doesn't cooperate.

Holy cows. Slave I is $80? Yikes.

Actually most of the new SW sets seem reasonable priced. The aforementioned Slave I and Cad Bane's Speeder are the only two that jump out as being priced high relative to their piece-counts. Maybe the new AT-AT, too.

I'm hitting TRU tomorrow to see if I can get the Wampa set. I'll wait on Slave-1 until Target has it, I have a small collection of gift cards to use.

Grevious' ship, midi-scale Star Destroyer, Palpatine's Shuttle and even the Turbo Tank are reasonably priced.

Plo Kloon's Starfighter is like $5.00 dollars too high (not terrible) and the Wampa Cave is about $5.00 to $10.00 bucks too much (not so bad).

Slave I, Cad Bane's speeder and the new AT-AT are waaaaay over the top. All about $20.00 bucks too high.
What I try to do is build up my VIP points with stuff I've bought earlier this year. This can help off-set some of higher priced sets. I'm gonna' put $20.00 from my VIP towards Slave I, which makes it more pleasing for the wallet...;)

There is a brand-new TRU Express in walking distance from my house, but with the ridiculous mark-ups, I prefer to buy the lot online with the free shipping. :-) What an expensive lot of sets though. I'm so glad there's no shipping, though, or I would be breaking the bank more than I already am....

Isn't it incredible how a mere Slave I or Clone Turbo Tank bought by ITSELF can garner free shipping on orders of $75 and up?!?

Well... now that the hype is coming to a head and I am placing my order now, I'm somehow already looking forward to Collectible Minifigures Series 2 coming out in my nearby toy store.... I already called to make sure they would give me a call when they come in.

TRU in Huntsville had all the sets, including the AT-AT. Everything was at retail except for Slave 1, which was 5 extra.

I went to the LEGO store in Chandler earlier this evening to buy a Darth Vader TIE Fighter for a birthday gift, and ended up walking out with it, Slave I, and the Wampa set. The Slave I price seems really excessive. I almost said, "Yes" when they asked if I wanted to use any of my VIP bucks.

@voypro...I kinda' remember seeing it at Toys R Us in Times Square back in May sometime. That was the only place I saw it on the shelf. Even my local Lego Store doesn't carry it. It is a pretty good set...I picked it up from Lego online sometime around March/April (but for some reason they didn't put a hood/cape for Obi-Wan and no orange shoulder paltron for the Stormtrooper. Strange not to include these IMHO but not a deal breaker).

@legoDad42 - the landspeeder is a Walmart exclusive so it's unlikely you saw it at TRU. That being said, I have "never" seen it at any of our local Lego Stores or Walmarts. But it's always seemed to be available online.

Strange... the online description for the Slave 1 says it is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Revenge of the Sith. I know time flies, but has it really been 30 years already? How old am I again? Perhaps there was a great disturbance in the space/time/Force continuum?

@crzypainter - this year is the 30th anniversery of the Empire Strikes Back. I believe that Lego made a mistake saying it was the anniversery of the Revenge of the Sith - after all, the Slave I wasn't in Episode III

Wampa Cave is in hand! My TRU seemed to have all the new sets, and since they suck so bad at putting up sales signs and have nothing but full shelves, they opened up a half an aisle where you first walk in and put everything up. No Series 2 minifigs in. Yet.

I have not yet checked out the TRU Express near my house for the sets, but I don't need to now except for speculative purchases! YAY!!!!

Oh! I did not notice till now that the new AT-AT and midi-scale ISD are already in stock too! What a treat for LSW fans like me! :-)

Funny how now Lego is stocking two AT-ATs at the same time that are approximately the same size and price. :-D

@Huw - You have not yet noted that the U.S. Star Wars collection has expanded to include Cad Bane's Speeder, the AT-AT, and the midi-scale ISD. Thanks for all you do for us faithful Brickset users! :-)

I Just saw 8089, 8093, 8095, & a Empty Spot for 8097 at My Local Target. They Also Had all HF & The Family Home. But What Was Really Cool was a 2ft Tall One Piece Lego Darth Vader Minifigure in a Display Case. If You Pressed The Button, His Lightsaber would Move and So would his Head! It Was Really Neat. This was in The Stockton Area if Anyones Intrested. ;)

The following sets were available at the LEGO Store, Orlando, FL today - Cad Bane's Speeder, Clone Turbo Tank, Slave 1 and the Imperial Star Destroyer. Interesting tidbit is that before today, the story that I got over the past couple days when I called was that they would not be available until August 6th.

I called yesterday to confirm they had the new Star Wars line and said yes. Then, I went at TRU in Laval, QC, Canada but the shelves were empty. I talk to a guy and he told me they received an email to remove them until August 6th. I explained to the guy that I had just told my son I was going at the store to buy it for him and that he would be crushed if I came back empty handed...so he let me buy General Grievous' ship...He made one kid very happy!!! Thanks!

Got most of the new sets except the exclusives now, I'm going to have to wait for a sale to pick up Cad Bane's speeder, it's the only set in a while that I haven't been willing to pay full price for. It's just doesn't excite me much.

@misterfubar...I agree, Cad Bane's ship is $20.00 bucks too high. I got it yesterday ONLY because I was given a gift card that offset much of the price. Otherwise, I would've waited. I also think Slave I is $20bucks too high and the new AT-AT is about $20-$30bucks over as well.

I finally bought the Turbo Tank, PloKoon's Starfighter and Cad Bane's speeder...but this is gonna end my Star Wars collection...LEGO uses the new minifigs to make the sets a lot more expensive than they should be...I'm only gonna buy some minifigs on eBay if I find them at a decent price....goodbye LEGO...that's it for me...
