i would like to wish lego stud bricks happy birthday. the reason i say this is because the lego compeny really started in 1932, it is good to see that it has come so far. a couple of years ago lego lost alot of money and they almost closed down because they invested in the wrong things (i don't know if they were really going to close down but i do know they did lose a lot of money). i hope this will be a good year for lego and for its fans.

Not muched happened in Aus just a small Artical in the paper no picture

Posted by Commander Fox in Australia, 29 Jan 2008 08:37

And a TV news clip showing file footage and re-voiceovering of an american news article. typical, the only subject ive ever realy cared about and it was a columb in the paper and a 20 second confused ramble by people that dont realy care.

And, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEGO! (sorry for the double post) thanks for the years of fun fun FUN!

In Australia Channel sevens Sunrise breakfast program had 2 lego builders on the show Monday morning (28/1). Also there were a few lego props on show. Imcluding R2-D2 and Harry Potter. Heres a link to the follow up of the show, http://au.lifestyle.yahoo.com/b/sunrise/3650/lego-builds-on-50-years

Happy 50th makes me glad to be part of an amazing community and own the 20th lego brick ever made

Posted by chucky12 in Australia, 29 Jan 2008 18:38

Lego-in-oz, saw that segment on Monday as well. They had a model of the Sydney Opera House there, and apparently, the Danish architech who designed the Opera House, Jorn Utzon, used Lego bricks to build a scaled model of today's famous landmark prior to its construction. So Lego is fun AND it has its uses!

another lego fans from indonesia
happy birthday LEGO thanks for the last 16 years of happy moment

Posted by jpmanalo in Australia, 31 Jan 2008 01:34

lego-in-oz and chucky12,
One of the builders featured on Sunrise was none other than Sydney resident AFOL, and LEGO Ambassador Richie Dulin! The weekend prior to his appearance on Sunrise, he was down in Melbourne along with several other AFOLs from around the country at Brickvention 2008 showing off his Ghost House.

A very Happy 50th B'day to the LEGO Brick! I hope the LEGO product continues on stronger into the distant future!
