    I've made a tweak to the review form, prompted by brickset member Alemas, to enable you to preview your review to make sure it looks right before you submit it. In fact, you have to preview it before you submit.

    I'm hoping that this will improve the quality of the formatting of reviews generally: at the moment we have to delete quite a few that haven't been formatted correctly.

    As usual, if you have any problems with the review form or process, let me know.

    Unrelated, I've been trying out the IE9 beta and have found a few problems with the site, mainly JavaScript related. I'm assuming this is a IE9 issue rather than Brickset's since it works fine in every other browser. Hopefully it will be fixed before its release.

I can't even see my new review that i posted yesterday. And i have now sent you five emails about news and problems with the site. And nobody has even called back. Next time i will put it with one of my posts.

Reviews are moderated by the staff before they can be seen by other users of brickset; it might be several hours before one of us is able to check the pending list of reviews and approves, or otherwise, the review for public view. As Huw points out, quite a few 'reviews' are deleted before anyone else sees them, for a number of very good reasons. Without knowing which review you refer to, it is difficult to check if yours was one of these.

I saw one email from you yesterday, about a missing review, which was mildly abusive.

Further, we get lots of emails about 'news', much of which is not relevant, is a repeat of things we've already posted, or falls outside our policies (i.e. leaked news on 2011 sets). We also get plenty of emails which are spam, which order us to do things, or which are abusive in some way. These tend to get deleted and ignored.

We all do this as volunteers, in our spare time, around our real lives. We really do appreciate that members of Brickset contacting us with information, but we are fans ourselves, not paid lackies, so a bit of civility & consideration goes a long way.

@Dr., It looks as if the review you posted yesterday of 628 is there, in fact none of your reviews have been deleted recently.

A NEW suggestion: SECURE login, as in using "https" for the login screen! Can't you do that?

This is and excellent feature Huw (and thank you Alemas for suggesting it), I also have a suggestion to improve the reviews. Emoticons, Just like the ones on Eurobricks but maybe just a Plain smiley :) and a Plain frown :( . But there may be a problem with people over using them?

@Alemas, I could but there's not a lot of point: SSL certificates are expensive and fiddly to set up and there's nothing of really of value on the site to warrant it.

@legocity1: I dislike superfluous stuff like that, it is what make Eurobricks difficult to read.

YES! I've Always Wanted This. But Huw, Can you Make it so That Users can SAVE Their Reviews Without Making Them Public So Users can Come back and Post Them Later? (Like How Bricklists Work) I was Making a Review of '8684-10: Weightlifter" on another Computer and I Had to Leave. So I wasn't Able to Complete the Review. I Think My Idea will Help. :)

The last step in the instructions for posting reviews: "Your review will be saved and once its been checked by a moberator it will appear on the reviews pages." I think that should be "moderator" rather than "moberator."

Thanks you guys! I really like to check because we all make typos sometimes!
Just a tiny problem: You think we could use the word "Destroy"? Because a lot of themes are sort of fighting themes and we could use that instead of other words.
