66364: Star Wars Super Pack 3 in 1
    Star Wars/Product Collection, 2010
    More details...
    ©2010 LEGO Group

You'll notice from the 'New Additions' banner above that we've recently added a number of new entries to the database for 'Super Pack' sets, those 3-in-1 or 4-in-1 (or occasionally 5-in-1 or even 6-in-1) product packs that appear from time-to-time in the larger retailers like Toys-r-Us.

These are interesting packs, and can represent a nice saving over buying the included sets separately ... assuming you want them all in the first place. They present an interesting problem for us here on Brickset as they get little proper publicity, and we're largely reliant on them being spotted in-store and reported to us here or through other Lego websites. That also means the "box shots" are often quite poor quality.

The stand-out new 'super packs' for me are the two new Hoth-themed Star Wars packs, each containing 13 figs, #66364 and #66366. I haven't seen these on sale anywhere yet & we have no idea of the retail price, but they'd each make for a lovely surprise gift :-)

Though I've never seen a Super Pack at the regular retailers, these do look great, especially the first Hoth one.

So many Super Packs *Drools* I noticed that there are some Basic Promotional sets from 1995 up their too

Thanks, Bluemoose - I saw these listed and subsequently tried to find out where they were on sale, but drew a complete blank. They certainly weren't at the Watford TRU yesterday !!

As well as providing a problem for Brickset, they also provide a conundrum for the collector, particularly the obsessive completist.... I want them for the collection, but also know that it'll be a total waste of money as I have the individual sets already. Still, this sort of realization didn't stop me buying set 65081 off Ebay recently despite having the constituent sets already, so I guess I'm simply beyond help.

I would say, at least if they appear in the states, they will probably be at a Walmart as they are the only ones that seem to be selling combo packs any longer, which is a shame. I for one miss the old 80's combo packs with three small vehicles.. I dunno about you but when I was a kid I loved getting those, it made you feel like you were getting more than you should.

I've only seen super packs at places like Costco. But as of late, nothing. They often only stocked one type of Lego set, but I remember years ago they'd sell starwars ones and even spiderman ones.

I honestly cannot remember seeing a single super pack of Legos at any local retailer in nearly 8+ years. The last one I even had the opportunity to buy was from the Western theme. It would be great if those Hoth super packs became available here.

It's strange on 66364 that where it shows you what minifigures it comes with it says you got 4 of the new hoth rebels even though the echo base has 2 old ones.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 19 Sep 2010 12:53

I've seen a few in TRU in the UK, not these, but previous years' ones, but I think they generally tend to be more readily available in mainland Europe: Germany, Belgium, Holland etc.

@Huw: ...and perheps Italy? :)

Posted by FU22Y in Norway, 19 Sep 2010 13:36

I think I saw one of the Hoth packs at "Extra Leker" in Norway.

I have never seen a superpack in stores; in my life! I haven't even seen one in Costco stores.

Posted by weerwoefski in Belgium, 19 Sep 2010 14:08

These Packs have been available from the online store of 'Colruyt' for about a week or two. The prices, however, do not offer any kind of good deal. On the contrary, they cost more than when you'd buy the sets apart.

The Echo base + battlepacks 3-in-1 costs €57.95. When you buy them each seperately, you pay €24.99 + €14.99 + €14.99 = €54.97.
The wampa cave + echo base and battlepack costs €89.95. Seperatley they would cost you €44.99 + €24.99 + €14.99 = €84.97.

I really don't know what the deal is with this awkward pricing, perhaps it's an additional cost for the extra cartboard...

heres another[odd] one: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=66368-1
what are snowtroopers doing on Tatooine?

Posted by Doctor Leg O'Brick in United Kingdom, 19 Sep 2010 15:46

Those super packs look good. Shame i own most of them sets outside of the super pack.....

Posted by WedgeAntilles in United States, 19 Sep 2010 16:38

Those are really cool. Granted, I own most of the sets included in the packs, and i doubt ive even seen a Super Pack in a store. I'd definately ask for something like that for Christmas--everything you'd need for a decent Hoth diorama and more.

Thanks water jedi; #66368 added to the database

That really is an odd mix of sets ...

I have never seen system superpacks, I have seen bionicle superpacks but never starwars....

Posted by lego star wars dude in United States, 19 Sep 2010 19:46

wallmart has a promotion were you pick 2 sets, and you get them for 40 (they are the $25 sets so you save 10 )

Posted by jagdjh in United States, 19 Sep 2010 20:52

I saw some Star Wars sets at Costco today but I don't think that they are the 3 in 1 sets listed above. All that I can remember is that they were priced at $48.99. I think it may have been 8096 Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle and 8088 Starfighter Arc-170. They have both of those sets listed on their website as well but priced at $54.99 which includes shipping. Sorry that I don't have better information.

These packs are a nice idea, particularly if some of the contained sets are no longer available otherwise.

Posted by Jarod98 in United Kingdom, 20 Sep 2010 07:43

@water jedi 17 - Stormtroopers are on Tatooine to warm up.
Cool sets, I'd buy 'em if they were a good deal and I could find 'em.

Will the super set be available in the US?

Posted by Darth Brick in Belgium, 21 Sep 2010 16:31

Like "'weerwoefski'" said - STAR WARS Super Packs 66364 & 66366 are already available (since late August) in BELGIUM in Colruyt but also and mostly in "Dreamland" toyshops.

Same prices and like he said they are NOT WORTH THE PRICE for the real value inside of them.
But as new, unique & 'colector' sets they've got somethig special ...

The 66341 SW Superpack I've bought already March or February this year.

This isn't anythig new for the Star Wars sets, only a kind of continuation in a bigger scale (already 3 packs this year!!!).

The first was released in 2009 : set n° 66308 containing 3 sets - 8017 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter, 7667 Imperial Dropship & 7668 Rebel Scout Speeder. It was quite logic combination of 2008/2009 sets. Inside, two battlepacks were even in their orginal boxes when TIE Fighter's pieces were put apart in normal bags.

This is really nice.
Hope Lego can send some to Singapore as well :)

Will we be able to buy from online Lego Shop?

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, 22 Sep 2010 06:53

@gamermic - I've never seen any of these Super Packs available direct from Lego themselves. In the UK I've only ever seen them in TRU, and then only infrequently. Lego do occasionally offer packs of all the sets from a new theme, but that's a different thing than these 'super packs'.

Super Packs and Value packs we see quit often in the Netherlands. Mostly in shops like ToysXL (used to be ToysRus), Bart Smit and Intertoys.

Most of these packs are CITY like recently:
66374 including 7939, 7937, 7895, and 7896
66357 including 7208, 7241, 7942 and 7239

But we had also a Technic:
66318 including 8294, 8290, 8259 and 8293

And StarWars:
66341 including 8014, 8015 and 8091

Posted by Oscar&Pim in Netherlands, 23 Sep 2010 16:04

Found a new one today, StarWars 66366 including 8089, 8083 and 7749
