Get your order in now: UK (£205) | USA ($240, still coming soon in the US, but I'm sure it'll be available any hour now)

I couldn't see anything on the site regarding the double VIP points BUT when I placed my order for Tower Bridge and the Winter Village Bakery I noticed that I was awarded 2 VIP points for every pound spent, so I think double points is underway......

I'm very excited about this set. the tan cheese makes this a double buy for spare parts. I am already clearing a shelf out to manage the length of the beauty! Don't forget to link to Lego.com through brickset!

The VIP points for the items in my shopping cart (Imperial Shuttle, Tower Bridge and Winter Bakery) are definately double now, and they were not showing as double yesterday, but then when I go to checkout to actually pay it puts the VIP points back to the single amounts.
So I will wait a day more...

It is not that difficult to find the info:

Oct. will be a expensive month :-)

£50 less for US customers. If you know someone in the states, it may be cheaper to get this one shipped over.

I saw tower bridge in Lego store Columbus Ohio about a week ago.

@tiberium_blue
I guess, with shipping and customs, you will end up at almost the same price!

Waaaaaay out of my price range. maybe if it goes on sale...........

Picking this up Tuesday along with Winter Bakery. After that is done I should have about $185 worth of VIP Rewards which will enable me to get some of the new LEGO that is released after the holidays.

This set has 556 tan cheese slopes. I don't know if you'll need 2 of this set just for tan cheese. After buying 1 of these sets I don't think I'll ever need tan cheese again. As for displaying this set it is a MONSTER! The lead set designer, the awesomely talented Jamie Berard said at Brick Fair this past August that this set was so big the LEGO photographers needed to go out and get a larger backdrop so it could be photographed! As for displaying this set, I don't have the space to display this for a long period of time so after it is built and displayed for a short while it will be dismantled and added to my brick collection.

Bought Tower Bridge and Imperial Ship! I spoil myself too much :3

I was preparing to pounce on the double VIP points offer for October, but I wonder if I'd actually gain more by waiting for Lego's typical free shipping offers later in the holiday shopping season. I can understand that for those who make substantial purchases, the double points will go a long way, but for my typical spending range on Lego S@H, it's an almost identical savings either way, possibly leaning more in favor of free shipping if I order slightly less than usual. So, right now, I'm torn as to whether I should buy now or wait.

Hay, i thought the winter bakery in the USA was out on september the 29th, yet no news for that. And October the 1st was said to have some new sets come out......

Posted by Dodge in Canada, 01 Oct 2010 10:20

Received the email detailing the double points for October (woo-hoo!) but the link to the "Buy it now" Tower Bridge left the item as yet unavailable as of 8:17am Central time in Canada. Don't know what that is all about. Hopefully it will be remedied by this evening... cause I'm itchin' to get my hands on that bridge!

But where are the building directions? I really want to see what pieces were used for the vehicles. I guess Lego.com will have them soon enough

Posted by Legodt in United States, 01 Oct 2010 21:36

Got mine tonight at our local store... I had to return a few sets to get enough credit for an exchange. I think I am going to incorporate this set into my mini-fig scale village. I do not plan to use the vehicles.
