So my Google news alerts claim today, so the sad news for Canadians was short lived :-)

This must be great for Canadian Lego fans!
Thats cool. Funny too, like how brickshelf.com was said to shut down, it didn't. Maybe Exo-Force won't be discontinued either! :) But thats good for Candian Lego fans.
Interesting news... I hope this mean lower prices for us! Meanwhile, I took advantage of their clearance sales (Sith Infiltrator, Fireboat for 20$, Skeleton Chariot 15$ and 3 Crossbow attacks for 5$ each!).
WOW! That's incredible! I'm sure people like ARC170Dinofighter are really happy about this!
That's good news for me and any other Canadian Lego fans, but we better still get lower prices even if its like a few dollars of each set. Its good to see that Megabloks won't get all of Wal-Mart's self space.
Pfft. I don't think wal-mart deserves the extra sales.
Hehe, good point.
Neither do i, as I am not a huge Wal-Mart fan-never actually been in one... Congratulations Canadian LEGO fans!!!
Hmmm, I guess this means the end of their clearance binge. Came across it a couple weeks ago while stocking up on items for the coming baby. Like Absimilliard, I found the Skeleton Chariot for 15$ - the real killer was the Skeleton Tower I got for 35$!! Shoulda hit more stores while I had the chance...
Perhaps I should clarify: The LEGO was for me, not the new baby. Well, not yet, at least.
That's nice. It seems that Canadians are extra happy about all the sales and stuff going on at walmart. Nice to have a happy day or forum on Brickset. :-)
That's good news for Canada (LEGO using a more realistic pricing structure)...Now if only LEGO can do the same for the rest of the world instead of having other countries with prices that make it appear they are subsidising cheap LEGO the US. After all, it's unlikely that the $US will go up in value in the short-medium term the way things are at present.
the title of this discussion doesnt actually say there coming back to sell, mabe there making their shelves out of lego. loopholes are fun :D
Ha ha, Commander. Yeah, lego blocks return to Walmart shelves. So sad, the employees just got asked to dismantle the shelves and now they have to reassemble them. Poor employees. Ha ha.
Hey u can't say that the prices of lego in the U.S. are cheap!$15 Bucks for the air mail set! Come on. But the most likely reason that we have LOWER prices is because their office is in Enfield, Conneticut, and they have a factory in Tennesse.
Are you kidding? Here we get lego for about half the price people have to pay in europe.. and I don't know about canada, but needless to say, the US is by far the cheapest place to buy lego. The reason they're expensive everywhere is because it's better quality than many other toys.
WOW this is awesome!!! Thank you tlc and walmart!!! :^)
Yay, I live in Canada.
That I am, Legodt. I feel like I want to jump for joy. Wal-Mart, you are free from your dordia! This perhaps the best day of my life. Hearing Wal-Mart and Lego are back sound like two arguing friends making up! P.S. what does tlc stand for?
ARC170Dinofighter, there was a bit of debate about the acronym; TLC. Obviously it was mentioned and then assumed by someone that it meant The Lego Company, and so it went on from there. That is what we are talking about, but in other context it is known as Tender Loving Care.
Thank goodness!I wonder what the prices will be, though?
I'm so happy for those canadian Lego fans!TLC= The Lego CompanyTLC also stands for Tender Loving Care, of which The Lego company and Wal Mart didnt have much of for eachother! No offense.
Oh, thanks, guys. I was confused because there was a channel I knew that was called TLC but I knew you weren't talking about that because that's for renovating and clothing.
No deals here. The Vancouver area stores I was in never restocked after xmas. I'll be interested to see if WalMart gets a price break. The latest sets, the Knight and Troll battle Packs are $18 for 5 minifigs! What's up with that? The friggin Star Wars sets with the Lucasfilm licensing build in are only $13 for 4 minifigs and a vehicle!
Maybe they are making star wars the new retail pricing base.
Sorry buys, I have terrible news. I am very dissapointed. I have heard that the agreement hasn't worked out. I'm sorry canadian lego fans, If you hear this, please mourn the loss of walmats lego.
