More Exo-Suit goodness...

Pete has kindly provided us with more of Bluemoose's excellent photos of the Exo-Suit. Update: two more pictures have been added below. Important note: Mark Stafford (as lego_nabii) has been providing some background information on the development of the set on Reddit. The most important thing he states is "This is currently a single production run - I'm not sure of the...

Exclusive: Exo-Suits side-by-side

Posted by ,

Peter Reid has sent me this image showing his version and the 'official' version of the Exo-Suit side-by-side. The main difference, which you'll notice at first glance, is that it's a lot taller. The need to use robust ball and socket joints for the feet and leg joints looks to be the main reason for that, as the body appears to be much the same size.  There's plenty...

The Exo-Suit has been revealed!

Posted by ,

OMG -- I am blown away! The animation is fantastic! GREEN classic space minifigs! The LEGO Ideas blog provides no further information or images, hopefully they'll be forthcoming later today. For now, then, we will have to make do with this one. Last Friday LEGO published revised instructions for the Ecto-1 on their customer services page and eagle-eyed member OscarWRG spotted that...

Exo-Suit: the final teaser

Posted by ,

By all accounts the Exo-Suit should be revealed in all its glory later today. Pete posted this final teaser image on flickr yesterday which, once again, doesn't give much away. The caption clams there'll be 'more information in 12 hours'... I reckon when we do finally get to see it we will all be 'blown-away'! ...

The LEGOLAND Train

We've held off revealing the 2014 LEGO Inside Tour exclusive set until today, the last day of the last of this year's tours, as a courtesy to those going on the later ones. It's an excellent rendition of the LEGOLAND Billund train designed by none other than Steen Sig Andersen, I believe. Here's a flickr gallery of photos of the event by first tour attendee Mauricio. ...

Vitruvius minifig

The 'Everything Is Awesome' edition of the The LEGO Movie DVD/Blu-Ray is not officially out yet but that hasn't stopped one US supplier that specialises in selling US discs to the UK from shipping them already. Forum member timelash received his copy today and has sent us these images of the Vitruvius minifig that's packaged with it. My copy is on order, so...

This press release and images were sent out by LEGO in the early hours of this morning UK time for immediate release. Normally they are sent out a few hours before they can be published which, had that been the case this time, I could have prepared the news article before I went to bed :) Anyway, here it is, better late than never... 10242 MINI Cooper, 1,077 pieces, US $99.99 - CA $119.99...

10245 Santa's Workshop

Posted by ,

The first image of this year's Winter Exclusive set - 10245 Santa's Workshop has been posted at Hoth Bricks. You can see a larger version of the image by clicking on the thumbnail.  It's going in a different direction from the more 'realistic' Winter Village sets of previous years, but I think it will be popular all round. There's no word on pricing yet, but hopefully...

Trevi Fountain

As you probably noticed from the site updates panel on the right, I have added many more pictures of the summer sets that Amazon.co.uk published yesterday. One that escaped my attention, however, was 21020 Trevi Fountain. The fountain is a truly magical place in the heart of Rome that's always swarming with tourists day and night. It looks as if this set does the landmark justice. The description...

Summer Legends of Chima images

Maula's Ice Mammoth Stomper

Hot on the heels of the Ninjago images we added earlier, official pictures of the summer Chima sets have been published on Amazon.co.uk. There's definitely an Ice Age vibe to them: mammoths, sabre-tooth tigers, ice vultures and so on. I haven't looked at them all closely yet, but the the mammoth minifigs in this Maula's Ice Mammoth Stomper did catch my eye. Thanks Patch22. ...
