More images from the German toy fair

Posted by ,

Pictures from Nuremberg are being published thick and fast now and I think it will be a job to keep up with them all. We'll try and keep this article updated with the more interesting images as we find them. It's laughable, isn't it, that the sets were shrouded in secrecy last week in London and now they are plastered all over the internet... This first batch were found on ukonio.de...

Nuremberg Toy Fair - Some Summer Set Images

Posted by ,

It is exactly a week since the London Toy Fair and we have our first images of some Summer 2015 sets trickling in. The fair does not start until tomorrow, but we have already seen a few photos of the new sets courtesy of Atamaii Toys as some journalists have been allowed early access. We will be posting many images of the new sets as they appear over the next few days, but if you can't wait...

Mystery Mansion

Following the revealing of the Mystery Machine earlier today, Toy News International has just published this picture of 75904 Mystery Mansion. If previous product releases are anything to go by pictures of the other sets will be published by various news outlets over the coming days. It's just like CapnRex101 described it, isn't it! Thanks to various people including LostInTranslation...

Series 14 collectable minifigs are monstrous!

Posted by ,

Images of series 14 minfigs have escaped from the Chinese factory and have found their way onto Baidu. All 16 will be monsters of some kind and I believe they'll be released in good time for Halloween. HothBricks has done a great job of creating this montage image that shows all that have been revealed. ...

LEGO ready to launch Pirates

Posted by ,

LEGO has just uploaded images of the five forthcoming Pirates sets which suggests they will be available in some markets imminently, maybe on 1st February. There are plenty of alternative images so be sure to click on the 'more images' tabs on the set details pages. I don't really have an opinion on them as I don't have any Pirates sets at all but I'd be interested to hear what...

Hulkbuster Rescue Mission improved images

Posted by ,

76031 Hulkbuster Rescue Mission is probably the most anticipated of all the Avengers: Age of Ultron sets, so it is nice to see a couple of better images. The images were found on the German Amazon website and have now been added to the database. I think the box artwork does the model an injustice personally as it certainly looked far better than I had expected at the London Toy Fair. It is larger...

London Toy Fair Report - Part 2

Posted by ,

Following on from Huw's assessment of the unlicensed themes I will be taking a look at the licensed sets that were on display this year at the London Toy Fair. Overall I am a little disappointed to be honest, although there are some outstanding sets and minifigures to make up for others that are lacking. I noted down prices and the minifigures included in most sets as well as some features that...

London Toy Fair report, part 1

Posted by ,

Today, CapnRex101, DrDave and myself along with Mark from Blocks, and Brickish Ambassador Gary had a guided tour of the LEGO stand at the London Toy Fair, courtesy of Norton & Co, its UK marketing/advertising agency. The toy fair is a trade-only event and access to the LEGO stand is by invitation only. It's a bit like Fort Knox but with tighter security. Photography is not allowed inside...

London Toy Fair report

Posted by ,

I've just got back home after visiting the toy fair in London today. Unfortunately I need to go out again for a couple of hours now to help run the local kids' computer club. I'll post a report here at about 21:30 GMT on non-licensed themes and CapnRex101 will post his report on licensed themes tomorrow morning. In the meantime, you can read a few details in the forum that we wrote...

This year's Easter set

Posted by ,

Neoape has published a picture of this year's Easter set which is shown at the back of the instructions of 40120 Valentine's Day Dinner. Last year's seasonal sets were cute animals, this year the theme appears to be 8x8 vignettes featuring two minifigs. I wonder if Mel Caddick designed them again? ...

Tractor

©2015 LEGO Group

LEGO Customer Services published another 340 instruction manuals for year 2015 sets yesterday including those for this year's 30xxx polybags, so we now have images for all but one of them. Unfortunately, the paperwork published for the missing Duplo one doesn't include an image of the set. This tiny tractor looks great for its size, doesn't it! ...

Jurassic World set list

The names of six Jurassic World sets surfaced overnight, apparently having been found on a Toys R Us UK inventory system: 75915 Pteranodon Capture 75916 Dilophosaurus Ambush 75917 Raptor Rampage 75918 T-Rex Tracker 75919 Ultra Dino 75920 Raptor Escape The names give us some idea as to the types of dinos that will be in them but don't offer many clues otherwise. Admiral Yularen

This promotional minifigure polybag containing Admiral Yularen has been found on the Chinese auction site Taobao. This character appeared a great deal during the Clone Wars having appeared briefly during Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope around the Imperial conference table. The uniform we see here is based on Episode IV when Yularen was a colonel in the ISB (Imperial Security Bureau). It's...

Year of the Sheep

Lunar New Year

The Chinese year of the Goat (Sheep) 2015 will start on February 19, 2015. To commemorate this, and to make further inroads into the Chinese market, LEGO has released a special set, 40148. Like 2013's 10250 Year Of The Snake it's unlikely to be available outside of Asia. Thanks to robuko, who bought one in Toys R Us in Japan, for sending us the image. It seems that the packet that's...

Summer 2015 news

Posted by ,

I am guessing that the 2HY retailers' catalogue is out because the number of rumours circulating on other sites concerning sets that will be out later next year have increased significantly this week. We will refrain from repeating them here until they can be substantiated. One source that has provided something concrete is MPK Toys in the Czech Republic. It has listed a number of City set names...

Two new 2015 sets uncovered

Valentine's Day Dinner

Two more 2015 sets have been uncovered today: 60070 Water Plane Chase is another City Swamp Police set. It may be a Walmart exclusive in the USA. It has been purchased at Walmart.com and reviewed by The Brick Show on YouTube. But far more interesting than that is 40120, which I've called Marriage Proposal for now. It's obviously going to be released in good time for Valentine's Day....

Jurassic World: first image

The French consumer catalogue has provided us with our first view of Jurassic World, and also states that the six sets will be released at the start of June, just before the film's premiere. The image shows a T-Rex, two raptors and a Pterodactyl that all look similar to those in the 2012 Dino theme which is unsurprising but disappointing. Via Jurassic Bricks and TheBrickFan. ...

2015 Set Sightings - Update #3 (UK)

Posted by ,

We just have an update for the UK today as no further news has come in from overseas since our second update a couple of days ago. Toymaster stores have received a delivery today containing City, Disney Princess and Friends sets along with Series 13 of the Collectible Minifigures. These have been put straight out on the shelves and are available now, presumably in every branch. Although only...
