Great Information for a Lego Star War Dictionary

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 05 November 2009

I want to say that they made this book very well made. I like how they separated the characters as well as the "playsets" by sections. Too bad they had the idea for the Yavin 4 Playset and it never made it out to the product line. I did however find 1 mistake (I am sure there are a few others, but this one caught my eye)... On page 81, not only is the V-19 Torrent backwards, it is also upside down. I am sure this is a minor mistake... but just wanted to give heads up on it.

Pros:
1. The price is excellent.
2. Luke Skywalker in Ceremonial Outfit.
3. Shows all the SW Legos that have been made.
4. They mention that the Hailfire is actually "proportioned" to the Mini-Figures unlike the regular set was not.
5. No "Stickers" :-P j/k

Cons:
None really.... thought they would split up the movies by Chapters rather then by sections.

Second version of the Republic Attack Gunship

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 07 August 2008

I got this set yesterday (08/06/2008) and was looking at what people thought about it. Some I agree with and others I disagree...and ofcourse, their are those that don't know who the "monkey" is.

As hustla187 stated, "The monkey sticker also makes it look stupid"...apparently you never watched Episode VI...yes, they are monkeys, but they got their special names: Kowakian monkey-lizard.

Well, here are my Pros and Cons:

Pros:
-- Great figures (despite the "ugly woman" as some have stated...she's a sith, what did you expect; for her to be beautiful??)
-- Has Commander Cody with new body armor
-- Not fragile...haven't had any issue with it (as long as you handle the ship well)
-- Great new add-ons: the wing turrets, speeder bike, escape pod, mini-cart, missile launchers
-- Better top wing guns
-- the new kind of realistic pistols

Cons:
-- Yes, it may be expensive, but if you know the right store, you may see it on Sale... hint: Target is selling it at $107...not sure for how long.
-- Could use more Clone Troopers
-- Would be nice to have the side turrets
-- The found stickers like always

Simple + build book and guide

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 15 February 2008

Yea, it is small and simple and has many ideas to build other stuff from them, but it is a great way to expand your Space Port set. It is also great for kids because not only it gives you a little bit about the Space History (how an astronaut becomes an astronaut), but it has a cute book of ideas with a story. It reminds me a little bit on the Young Adult sci-fi book set: "The Young Astronauts"

Small and Simple

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 15 February 2008

The title says it all, "Small and Simple" which it is exactly what it is. I actually got this set with 3 others through Bricklink via someone in Japan. Yes, it is small...BUT it is the only astronaut without the golden visor. So, it is a great way to lighten up without the golden visor. Do ALL astronauts really need it?? Not really...the astronauts inside the space shuttle that don't do space walks don't use them...

Shuttle Test Run

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 15 February 2008

Perfect for your Space Port collection. You got the Zero-G practice chair, you got your flight simulator 'plane' and you got your Space Shuttle...so only thing that is left is your High Altitude plane just like any astronaut needs before they head into space.

Pros:
Small
Simple
Awesome astronaut
Awesome windshield

Con:
(Only 1), could have given it am oxygen pack back though

Space Shuttle #2

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 15 February 2008

Here are my Pros and Cons for this set -

Pros:
Shuttle
Mini-Figs
Booster and big Tank
Tower
Crawler

Cons:
I actually only have one...what they could have done with the Space Launch Command Shuttle #2, was to make the satellite different and not the same though.

Space Shuttle + Jumbo Jet = Awesome!

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 15 February 2008

Here are my Pros & Cons -

Pros:
Jumbo jet
Space Shuttle number II (since that is what the cargo door stickers say)
Car puller
You can get both the Shuttle AND a jet...so 2 themes for 1 set.

Cons:

Can't think of any.

This is def. a must have set because not only it has a Space Shuttle, but it gives you an idea what NASA in a way does. Because yes, they have a truck puller, and the jumbo jet as well.

Satellite and Astronaut

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 15 February 2008

Pros:
Satellite
Astronaut
Astronaut's backpack (finally they used that particular pack back for the Space Shuttle sets.

Cons: honestly...there isn't any. It is a simple set with no srings attached. It may have been nice if the satellite could fit the long and large shuttle, but it don't matter...it could be one of those sets where the shuttle brings the satellite by sections.

My first set

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 15 February 2008

This was actually one of the two sets I first got. I enjoyed this set for many years and still do. It's simple and cute. Has the 3 ships and it is sleek looking. Unfortunately, you cannot fit 2 people on the lower chairs, but what I did, I flipped the chairs facing back and then they fitted well. A great way to start your lego collection

Cool Addition

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 15 February 2008

I actually do enjoy this set. I don't know why the first reviewer is giving thumbs down to the tower because of it not having a ladder. Do you see the Police Station or Fire Station with one? Nope...none. But I do like the set. I enjoy the mini-shuttle, not only that it works as a flight simulator, but also because it works as a practice off-air simulator. I like the Zero-G chair as well...spins nice, but it could have been a little nicer with an actually cockpit type chair rather then a simple chair though. I still give it a 5 though because it is one of my favorite Launch Command/Space Port sets.

Awesome Rocket

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 15 February 2008

I actually got this set via bricklink so that I could have finished my collection of Launch Command and Space Port. When I saw this set, I was thinking to myself of why does a rocket have a mini-fig if you cannot place the mini-fig inside the rocket...I was confused. After I got the set, I realized that you can and I laughed. The sound is great and so is the "tip" which becomes an independent satellite. Plus, if you fix the middle section a little, it fits with the Space Port shuttle as well.

Must Have

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 15 February 2008

This is a great addition to Space Port, and not only that...it can go great with set #6336 Launch Response Unit from the "Launch Command" sets. I like the blue windshield as well and the "pop-up" monitor

Test Rocket

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 15 February 2008

I have to agree with both reviewers on this set. This is an awesome addition to the Space Shuttle collections. It can go right next to the Shuttle Simulator and the Mini-Shuttle launcher. Has another Engineer guy to add to the collection as well. The blue glass is cool. And when you "fling" the rocket, it truly does fly.

My 1st Shuttle

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 15 February 2008

I actually like this set. This was my first Space Shuttle set. Yea, it has a little too much yellow lights...but nothing wrong with that.

Pros:
2 motorcycles
5 mini-figs
1 shuttle
and the truck carrier

Cons:
Stickers
too many yellow lights

This is a must have set for all you Space Shuttle fans out there. I got all the space shuttles that came out and this is a great addition because all the other shuttles with the same logo can fit fine on the truck as well

Nice and Simple

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 15 February 2008

I have to be to the opposite of what the other reviewer said. Yea, it came from Japan, but it is cute and simple. And it also has the smallest Space Shuttle that ever came out. I also like the Engineer's uniform, it seems cool and different.

Awesome!

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 15 February 2008

I want to say that this is by far most one of my favorite Space Sets of all times no matter what. Yea, it has a lot of "slope" pieces...but it should be based on how it got anyways. I enjoy the amount of engines it has and as well as the cannons. I like the 2 "secret" cannons. And how the cockpit comes off is cool as well.

This is a definitely must have ship...but not because it is from Unitron, but because it is slick and an awesome fighter

The First Lego NASA

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 15 February 2008

I think this was a great set, but like someone set, should be put under the Discovery Sets. Here are my Pros & Cons for this set:

Pros:
NASA logos
Authentic Shuttle
Good Size
The "Satellite" box is just like the real one
Astronauts are great

Cons:
Stickers
No Crawler

But still...I got no problem with this set.

New type of Legs?

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 18 January 2008

I just bought this set last week.

As some of the people that put a review on this set...they say it "wobbles" because the 2 main legs are not all that great; and so they have to put the "3rd" leg to hold it up. Well...if you put the 2 main legs right, you will not have the issue. I put it on a "wobbly" surface (aka my bed) and I didn't have the problem for it to fall forward.

Pros:

- 2 Shock Troopers
- 2 New rifles
- 3rd leg
- Cool design

Cons:
- Legs cannot move at the "ankle"
- The button "area" could have been easily 'fixed' with gray plates
- Could have come with 3 mini-figs for the price since that is what it comes with in the movies

Rebels Are Go....

Posted by Moscadini in United States on 21 December 2007

I believe that this is an Excellent Addition to the Rebels, especially if you want to start building your Rebel Army.

Pros -

Comes with 4 NEW Rebel Soldiers
Detachable Turret
2 Rifles and 2 guns
It is not expensive in the USA

Cons -
They could have made either a Captain Rebel Soldier or a Pilot Soldier
