Retro-futuristic motorama art deco Tiny Turbo = LUV

Posted by rifraphy in Poland on 03 November 2009

This is one of my favorite Tiny Turbos, perhaps because of the fact that is reminds me of the Rogue Sequencer - a Tiny Turbo a friend made, white and sleeker than this one - but what really catches my eye is the black-orange paintjob. Pretty dam flashy. >:)

I see this as very art deco. The clean, round lines, the abrupt ending at the front bumper, the sleek cockpit and the rocket exhausts - or maybe I don't know what art deco means. ;)

Anyway, this set has some really nice parts in sweet colors. Such as, two 1x2 orange tiles, 1x3 dark gray slopes, the racing tires in black, the supercharged V8 engine block, black Tiny Turbo fenders - most poeple probably have these parts, but they are still quite nice.

It's very sleek when finished, and fun to roll around on the table. ;) I give this astoundingly sleek, shiny (unless you douse it in mud), elegant and with a distinct look of that unexplored range of cars called muscle-supercars...

..5/5!

Best lego set ever!!

Posted by rifraphy in Poland on 27 December 2008

I got this for my birthday from my mom, and when I saw it, I was so overwhelmed. I mean, look at all those Tiny Turbos! If Tiny Turbos didn't exist, Lego would be a passion to me. But with Tiny Turbos, it's an obsession! First of all, I would like to point out that this set has 7 cars, 2 slammers (push-off areas) and a great toll-station. (Captain Obvious). Here are the pros and cons:

:: A whoppin' 7 cars!
:: Great colors, very bright.
:: Includes two slammers that work better than I thought.
:: A surprisingly realistic toll-station!
:: The stickers were fun to put on - if not annoying at times.
:: New designs! Lego puts serious TT effort into the multipacks.
:: Playability: YEEHAW!
:: Great details. very realistic.
:: Crunch into the tanker and the fuel will topple off.
:: Smash into the logger and the logs (pipes) will fall off.
:: Go through the toll-station and the barricade will fly off.
:: They're very tough! I thought I'd break them with ^^, but no.

;; The stickers are a pain to put on.... But it's worth it.

Now onto a description of each car:

Racecar: Red-black, shiny, elegant, and it has flowy lines. Fave!
Musclecar: Lime-black, muscley, and fast. Second fave!
Limo: White, elegant, long, uncluttered, shiny. Third fave!
Monster truck: Yellow-blue, tough, neat. Fourth fave!
Fueler: White-orange-black, tough, big, sleek. Fifth fave!
Logger: Blue-gray, tough, abnormally huge, sleek. Sixth fave!
Wrecker: Red-gold, tough, huge, very functional. Seventh fave!

Overall, this is the coolest set I've ever achieved. All I can saw is wow. Tip: If you are going to buy this set, treat it like an advent calendar: Build a car a day!

Overtuned yellow Tiny Turbo

Posted by rifraphy in Poland on 21 November 2008

This is not my first Tiny Turbo, but the one that started the whole FOTT. (Freak Of Tiny Turbos). Ok, lame. But the car isn't. This little yellow one has a lot of pink and purple stickers, giving it a sinister, fast look. Here are the pros and cons:

:: Stickers look quite nice for a yellow-purple combo.
:: Rare pieces, ex. Spoiler, chrome, slopes, and rims.
:: The Tiny Turbo with the most parts ever in history! 66 pcs.

;; A bit big for a tuner.
;; Stickers are a pain in the neck to stick on.

Overall, a very good TT. I reccommend it, as it has lots of pieces for a Tiny Turbo! Very good-looking too - and cute, once finished. Fun to build, but pricey.

Old retro flamy orange hot rod :D

Posted by rifraphy in Poland on 20 November 2008

Very sleek! And it contains certain parts which are very useful. Such as, the orange paint job is very shiny and the flamey pieces are very cool. I have about 7-8 of them.

:: Flame pieces, engine piece, slope bricks and grille piece.
:: Orange paint job
:: The designers used 2-stud bricks with 1 stud in middle for the body..... Very nice effect, whole body turns out accurate and realistic! Very cool.

;; Stickers cross three bricks at once

Great set! I recommend you buy it. You can probably buy it on the internet or in the backs of shelves in supermarkets....... ;)

One of my favorites!

OK, first of all - this is not an ordinary TT. This is a spider, the first-ever TT cabrio! It's very flashy and the glow-in-the-dark pieces are a bit pointless (I've found they wear out after a few months, and kind of glow dully) but when built together on a piece with many studs, can glow quite nicely. It also has some very rare parts.

:: Very rare window piece
:: Flashy and shiny - and cute
:: Yellow/Black very nice color combination!
:: New design
:: Good parts pack
:: Nice stickers
:: Has he air of an unmistakeubly a very cool set ;)

;; A bit pricey.
;; Not many pieces, will do though.

Overall, 5 bricks! Very shiny and cute.

One of the few off-road TTs, and a good one!

Posted by rifraphy in Poland on 20 November 2008

My first review! I think this set is very good, but It has some faults. I'll tell you about them in a sec - I want to tell you that I love how it rolls, and the tough, off-roady feeling of it. It looks like a Dakar rally truck. Here are the pros (::) and (;;) cons:

:: Great wheels for a Tiny Turbo.
:: Nice stickers.
:: It's Red!

;; Stickers are a bit annoying when putting on.
;; Medium stock of parts.
;; A bit ugly.... But cute, at the same time.

Well, overall, I'd give this a 4/5 as this little car is a very good one, but with a little weird...
