5. The only vehicle on this list, the sleek S.H.I.E.L.D. jet from The Avengers takes fifth place because of its awesome play features, such as a hidden mini-jet, opening back hatch, and opening trap door on the top. Other highlights are the exclusive minifigs of Black Widow and Iron Man Mk. VII.

4. A very detailed castle with great architecture, Lego was able to represent so many iconic scenes in this set, such as Sirius's head in the Gryffindor fireplace and the restricted section of the library. 10217 Diagon Alley gets an honorable mention.

3. With 24 minifigures and 3,803 pieces, this set is one of the biggest sets ever and has tons of detail. I do not own this set, but with its many features including a chute to the trash compactor and a working elevator, it is sure to be the highlight of anyone lucky enough to have it.

2. Easily the best Hobbit set, Lego has beautifully represented Bag End in this fabulous set. With four superb and exclusive Dwarf minifigures, Bilbo, and Gandalf, this set's minifigures are outstanding. With extreme detail on the exterior and many accessories inside, An Unexpected Gathering is easily the flagship set of The Hobbit theme.

1. In my opinion, The iconic Tower of Orthanc is the ultimate set. Lord of the Rings fan or not, anyone can see the genius architecture of this awesome landmark. The inclusion of Treebeard is great, and a light up Palantir is very cool, especially in the dark. For minifigures, the exclusive Grima Wormtongue is amazing. Being the tallest model ever at 28.75 inches, it will be the greatest and most detailed set until the end of time
