• My Top 5 Worst Sets of 1H 2013

Compiled by bekindsorewind. Updated 19 January 2013. Contains 6 sets.
These is my OPINION on the worst, or least favorite sets of the winter wave of 2013. These can range from horrible price to just the content of the set itself.

One of the worst values for a set this year. A little over 200 pieces and 2 minifigures with a $40 dollar price point is ridiculous. The only reason I can think the price is so high is the PF winch, which to me is not worth the money to fork over for this set.

A hard to find set, and for a good reason.

Bricklist notes
The Stealth Shell is incredibly skeletal, and barely looks like the source material (a giant turtle shell.) The clash of the yellow, green, red and gray doesn't help either. While the other turtle vehicles use these colors, it doesn't work very well here. The Stealth Shell is supposed to look sleek, and almost like a Tumbler in a way. This set does not look sleek. It looks like it is still in Don's workshop in the prototype stage, and it probably was.

The Sewer Skimmer is incredibly bland as well. Boring choice of colors and most likely thrown in to increase the piece count which should've gone towards the Stealth Shell.

The positives of this set would be the exclusive Fishface figure and foot soldier, but they are definitely not worth the $20 price tag.

While the set has the Shredder and another foot soldier, the bike itself just seems incredibly wobbly and not very playable. Donatello's skateboard could've made a very nice polybag, and Shredder would've been a welcome addition to the Turtle Lair Attack set.

Just a very unnecessary set with the obvious hook for Shredder. Buy Shredder separately online if you need him for the collection, that's probably the only reason you'd be interested in this set.

Bricklist notes
Awful price per piece ratio, only 3 minifigures and a very boring structure on its own, relying on the much more expensive Jabba's palace set.

The sets price mainly reflects the Rancor, however that covered with the Star Wars license warrants the set a large price to swallow.

The sets connecting ability doesn't even work well with Jabba's Palace. The tower from the palace becomes a floating piece, and the gate from the pit is useless due to Jabba's throne covering the gate's movement.

While the Rancor is amazing, this set suffers from design of the pit and cost.
