LEGO has produced more than 1000 Star Wars minifigures since 1999, encompassing a broad range of different alien species. Participants in our LEGO Star Wars Trivia Challenge might recall how many have been produced and now we have prepared a comprehensive list.
Our list provides the year that sentient species was introduced and a representative character for each species. Several have appeared on multiple occasions, in which case we have chosen the earliest or most prominent example.
42100 Liebherr R 9800 was probably among the most exciting new sets that emerged from the Nuremberg Toy Fair a couple of months ago. Bouwsteentjes has now uncovered a slightly clearer image of the set, showing its exterior in more detail.
This model will be released on the 1st of August and includes CONTROL+, a system which should enable several functions to be executed concurrently! It reportedly costs €449.99 in Germany, probably equating to around £399.99 or $449.99 given the price of 42083 Bugatti Chiron.

Matthew Wood, a leading sound editor and voice actor for General Grievous and the Battle Droids, has revealed that another LEGO Star Wars video game is in development. Wood made reference to the game while discussing his 2019 projects during Star Wars Celebration.
We do not know when the game will be available but it might take inspiration from the entire Sequel Trilogy, following the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Rogue One and Solo have not appeared in a LEGO video game either.
What would you like to see in the next LEGO Star Wars game? Let us know in the comments.
Our first LEGO Star Wars Trivia Challenge was published recently, testing your knowledge of the Star Wars theme. More than 6500 participants have submitted responses so far and almost 150 people received full marks!
An additional twenty multiple choice questions have been compiled for the second challenge. They might be slightly more difficult than the first selection. Look out for further trivia challenges on Brickset very soon.
The beginning of May has gradually become an important period for the LEGO Star Wars theme as an exclusive polybag is often produced along with the new Ultimate Collector Series model, in celebration of May the Fourth.
75244 Tantive IV was revealed yesterday and while this might not be an Ultimate Collector Series set, an exclusive promotional item will probably become available for May the Fourth. We can therefore suggest which May the Fourth sets or minifigures would be most exciting, especially during the twentieth anniversary year of LEGO Star Wars.
