It does not seem like very long since the second series of Mixels became available, but the hotly-anticipated third series is now making its way into stores as well. The Mixels seem to be growing gradually more popular with each series, and no doubt the three new tribes (the Glorp Corp, Spikels and Wiztastics) will be as well received as ever.

Although the release appears to be fairly patchy, there have been sightings reported in the US, Continental Europe and the UK. The official release date is the 1st of September, so even if they have not appeared near you yet, they will be out soon.

Luckily, my local toy shop in Eastbourne has got them in stock and I have picked up a set, so expect reviews over the next week or so.

The third Brickset Mixels contest will also be coming in September, so start coming up with some ideas!

By in United Kingdom,

I saw them in Sheffield store today. Picked up a set of the Purple ones partly to get to £50. I'll not miss out entry to the contest this time round!

Found unopened boxes of series 3 lining the top shelves at several Fred Meyers in Portland, Oregon, last week. Picked up one of each!

By in United States,

Not at Target two days ago. Off to walmart!

By in United States,

I picked up eight of the nine this weekend in the Pittsburgh area. My eldest daughter mentioned in one store that she saw that Zmixels. I told her we have all the ones that are out now. She said, "Not the green ones". I ignored her, but later in the day, we saw that again, but one green one was sold out of the display. Lesson learned: my four year old daughter might be a more observant shopper and LEGO fan than her parents.

By in United Kingdom,

Much like the minifigures series they are coming out far too fast to collect them, it's rather annoying

By in Netherlands,

Rytupiop, be glad that they are coming out at all in the UK. For some reason, the Mixels aren't sold in the Netherlands. So cheer up :)
Also, great story ericjohn!

By in United States,

Oh, my. It does feel like the 1st of June was just yesterday. And some of these MIXELS are absolutely adorable.

By mid-September, maybe my local Walmart will finally start carrying Series 2. They've been TERRIBLE about getting new sets in... about a month ago, the most recent sets they had were the April TMNT sets. No Agents, no Arctic, no S2 Mixels, no Summer Creator, almost zero Hero Factory, no X-1 Ninja Charger... I really hate Walmart.

By in United States,

WTB?!? Series 2 hasn't even come out in my area yet! :-S True, I only check at Walmarts/Targets, but really? :=( So much for entering any competitions...

By in Netherlands,

What is mixels we have them not.

Gravatar
By in United States,

They have had them in the Seattle Targets and Fred Meyers for a few weeks now, I was actually surprised they were out so early. They were mostly picked over when I saw them.

By in United Kingdom,

Found them in downtown disney lego store. Bought the tumbler

By in United States,

Does anyone know what type of silver parts (metallic or flat) is included in the Spikels sets?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

@wunztwice: Pretty certain it's flat silver (TLG's 315 Silver Metallic). With some parts like the claws that goes without saying, because those are a softer plastic that has pretty much never been available in a lacquered color like Bricklink's "Metallic Silver".

By in United States,

That was my guess. Thanks!

By in Canada,

I'm looking forward to this series, Hoogi (41523) looks like a lot of fun. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but these Mixels are great if you want to try your hand at building in the bag.

By in United Kingdom,

I thought I saw some of the purple tribe in store yesterday only to find it was some Friends animals tucked behind the mixels on a hanging display.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Cant wait for these! I am going to TRU tomorrow, so I'll have a look there! :-) :-) (This is brilliant news!) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Where have they been seen in the UK?

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Oh no! I haven't even acquired all the series 2 ones yet...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Huw: I found them in the Stratford LEGO Store last night. Picked up Scorpi, my first Mixel... probably not my last. :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Huw - I am only aware of the Sheffield, Stratford and Brighton LEGO stores at the moment, and they were available in my local Toymaster.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

OK--I'm not going to get to any of those today :(

Gravatar
By in United States,

Picked them up at TRU.

When scanned at the register, a message popped up on the screen that they were not to be released/sold until September 1.

I told the TRU associate there were multiple (open) boxes of Series 3 on the shelves. The manager just overrided the message.

Snagged the purple blocks!

By in United Kingdom,

Has anyone just happened to see these at London Westfield (Shepherd's Bush) LEGO Store yet? I was thinking of going down there since it's my birthday today, and was wondering if they had S3 Mixels there which may influence my decision :-)

By in Puerto Rico,

Those purple wings are mighty useful.

By in United Kingdom,

Mixels series 3 spotted in Shaftesbury in Dorset.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I haven't bought any mixels yet and now I'm worried that I've already missed a bunch of good ones and so don't know if it's worth getting into now.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Full set of series 3 purchased from Kids Stuff Toys in Chichester. They had a big display box of them but they said they were selling fast.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Okay, just been to Westfield Shepherd's Bush, and thet have the S3 Mixels there too. I am now the proud owner of the whole series! :-)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I picked up all 9 of Series 3 from my Portland, OR - Fred Meyer stores last night. Ready for building!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

They have arrived at TRU Nottingham. Unfortunately, the staff hadn't unpacked them from a trolley in the aisle, so I helped them out ;-) Used my £5 Geoffrey points coupon to get a couple for a quid :-)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not at my Walmart. They didn't have any summer sets except for one TMNT movie one.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Happy Birthday, TheOneVeyronian.
And thanks for the heads up. I might pop in next week :-)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I spotted the whole entire Series 3 at my local LEGO Store in Natick, MA today. Series 2 was also still available. No doubt they will fly off the shelves quickly!

I am very excited to judge the contest entries. If any of you entrants need ideas, or want to know more about Mixels in general, please visit mixels.wikia.com. We'll be happy to help!

By in United States,

Found them today at Target thanks to the heads up here! Thanks for the posting! But be advised the end cap display only had 8 pegs, and thought id missed Glurt(a green one). Well turns out bottom peg had them stashed behind the grey ones. Came right outta the shipping case in front of me like that. Happy hunting!

By in United Kingdom,

Just spotted the Series 3 box on display in John Lewis (Notts, UK) so I investigated and managed to get a complete set of them :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Bought the whole set from our Lego Store in Bellevue, WA. Yay!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

We need a parts list, so I can figure out which ones I want to buy.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Found them at last in TRU at Harlow, UK. I picked up Mesmo. I love some of the BT (Building Techniques)! Can't wait to collect the rest! :-) :-)

Gravatar
By in United States,

The more I look at them, the more I think the purple ones don't do anything for me. The tan and green ones, however, look promising. I wish they made the hinges and joints in the colors of the tribes.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not at my my Target. SIGH!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Awesome! Which ones have the Nixels?

Gravatar
By in Norway,
