2026 LEGO Technic sets revealed!

Several new Technic sets have been revealed, including the unusual 42221 NASA Artemis Space Launch System Rocket!
There are also some more cars, including a Bugatti, a T. rex-themed Porsche 911, a BMW M4 GT3 car and a Jeep Wrangler, all of which will be released on January 1st.

42221 NASA Artemis Space Launch System Rocket

The Artemis rocket is really cool and it's not a car!
So many cars!
With the giant sidewall on the Bugatti wheels, you'd think they'd want to make a WRC series, but noooooo. Hyper cars look ridiculous with those.
The SLS looks great, but I wish they did clear trans vs black for the he mechanism.
Honestly? I think most of these look pretty good. Do I want them all? Not necessarily. Rexy is the standout here personally. Cool color combo on the jeep, though it looks very similar to the previous yellow jeep.

I'm assuming that's a new element for the Porsche headlights, but without a head-on or top-down view, it's hard to tell exactly what shape it is (besides obviously being an oval of some sort).
I was expecting the Artemis to be a lot more expensive since it’s Technic with a good amount of larger pieces, but $60 seems perfectly reasonable for it!
The Jeep and the Motorbike look pretty good. Not much interest in the others.
Artemis: missed opportunity to make trans-clear parts (lots of them). If I'm not mistaken, those "fun blue flame details" are mostly orange (except for the capsule).
Porsche 911 GT3 R REXY AO Racing: I'm not a heavy car enthusiast but I never knew some cars had a function to put themselves 'on the blocks'. I don't get it but I'll look the instructions, the mechanism might be neat.
Motorcycle: engine with (kinda) 3 pistons with only 151 parts (many being the chain) at $10 makes for a very good beginner set. (visible mechanism like back in the day)
Jeep wrangler: 42122 must have done very well for a remake that early. New model looks slightly better but has less functions (no winch, no doors) (for roughly 50 more parts).
Lego is getting better at making these kind/size of cars but @Huw is not gonna like it: system parts are getting increasingly present.

Yeah, if I get any of these, it'll be one of those two. Admittedly, if space weren't becoming more and more limited, I'd get the SLS. but as things stand, I'll have to limit myself to the cheapies.

Yes, the Artemis does look pretty good but my interest in space is really limited to Apollo and Space Shuttle!

It looks a little like https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=11252&utm_source=rebrickableT=S&O=%7B%2522iconly%2522:0%7D but with some sort of anti-stud. It’s also a bit more angular by the looks of it.
I'm glad they're continuing the SPACE branding.
That rocket might be the first Technic set I buy.
Stop making these cars as technic sets. Car people who buy these buy them for looks.
Porsche looks great in green with decals. Jeep also looks good. Surf board is a nice touch.
Took me a minute to figure out what was going on with the rocket, but the answer is "something really cool."

Space sets, Space sets, Space sets!
Let's see... the Bugatti looks good, but partly because it's been infected with Speed Champions system parts; the Porsche is absolutely hideous (which matches the real car, but still); and that little bike is great - I wonder if this is the smallest Technic set ever to feature a "working" piston engine.
As for the SLS... I like space, but the Technic Space sets have all been a miss for me (except 42179, but that was still too expensive), and this looks like another. The mechanism is neat and innovative, but rockets are kinda boring to me, and it just doesn't look that great in Technic. Also - whooof, that is a lot of stickers on curved parts, and some of them have to be placed to avoid the pin holes (speaking of which, it looks like those parts are *another* new mold...). Those do not look like fun.
"BMW M4 GT3 EVO" Sure is a set name of all time. It looks like a police car with that color scheme.
That Artemis looks pretty neat! Maybe not so much as a display model, but gotta love that mechanisme!
Other than that: cars, cars, cars (and a bike). And I say that as a car enthousiast....The Porsche looks fine, but an absolute stickerfest. Guess you can leave them all off. But the air jacks are a nice little feature. I do wonder though abouth that "boxer engine with correct firing order".....so each piston has it's own crank, at the correct offset?
Two more for the Car Transporter Gang, and neither looks great. As usual. The Wrangler still has the same headlight issue as the one from a few years ago. And that bike looks like a lesser version of 42132.
And honestly, the other highlight besides the Artemis is missing here: 30735 Hot Rod Car. Quite nice for a polybag!

The ship looks phenomenal.
The rocket is OK but won't look very good alongside Ststem sets.
Oh look, another Jeep Wrangler Rubicon! And it looks a lot like 42122 from five years ago.
The small motorbike (the ONLY non-licensed set here) looks a lot like 42132 from four years ago.
The rocket is... different. It uses a lot of System parts for the looks, but at least it has more than two gears.
Not listed here are three more licenses sets: a John Deere harvester (117 pieces) and two more Monster Jam trucks.
All the licensed cars...
This stuff probably sells well or they would continue churning out boring Technic cars.
I used to buy 80% of everything Technic.
In 2017 I bought 7 Technic sets, since then 2 a year at most.
This year: 0. Looks like 2026 is going to be another 0.
More cars. The disgust that courses through me, you could bottle it.
The Jeep Wrangler is TERRIBLE. The yellow one from a few years ago is WAY better.

It has a rear differential (probably no front one) and a V6 engine.
I like the Porsche, pity 10cm shorter, 4cm narrower than the previous 911 RSR 42096 as could have added more detail, although the same size as the summer 42214 Lamborghini Revuelto which has never had a review?
That Porsche would look better without the stickers.
Sorry but that Artemis launch system is way to expensive. I know all the pieces are in the base, but the set just does not look substantial enough to warrant 60$!
For reference, the huge Saturn V was lik 120$
In for the SLS when it hits sale. And it looks like they corrected the booster marking stickers (mirrored)...they were not correctly mirrored on 10341 .
