LEGO Ideas 21371 Wallace & Gromit revealed!

Is this the closest a final at has matched its Ideas counterpart? Honestly nearly 1:1 without a direct side by side, I'm seeing some differences in some of the shaping (particularly the heads) but it's still relatively minor.

The accuracy is phenomenal. Well done to the designer and congrats to Pidelium.

Wallace’s face looks a bit off, but that won’t stop me getting this ASAP.

It occurs to me I could make this in minifig scale pretty easily…except I already have them in the upper deck of my Routemaster bus. And I don’t recall them having access to a time machine. Then again, we do run two displays a few times each year…

Day one purchase, I love this.

That looks about as close to perfect as I can imagine. From a distance, it doesn't even look like Lego' It looks just like a clay model. Amazingly well done.

Wait holy crap they did such a good job on this. It looks spectacular

I think Wallace is greatly improved here. He gave me slight uncanny valley vibes with the original submission, something about the final version just looks way more natural to me.

This is even better than the fan submission!! Completely love how it's been made of clay despite being brick!

I have no interest in this... but my first reaction seeing this set was that it's gorgeous! Makes you really wonder how Lego can produce something like this, and meanwhile also produce stuff like 75438... (those eyes...)

Nice looking motorcycle with sidecar. I will get it just for that. Plus with the black wheels later available on PaB it will be easier to rebrick the Bugatti Type 35.

Cracking!. A very rare day one purchase for me.

That looks pretty much perfect! Okay, the wheel of the sidecar looks too small, but that feels like a nitpick. And not even mad about the price, €100 seems pretty reasonable to me.

Wondering how easy it would be to modify that sidecar to have its wings, propeller and porridge cannon…

It looks great, and I appreciate the reasonable price point too.

But I don't typically go for buildable models--I prefer stuff that's minifig scale.

I don't care about the subject but it looks amazing.

This looks fantastic. Definitely going straight on my wishlist, along with Snoopy, and Tintin.

In any case, great looking set. One of the few times imho where the official set looks better than the original submission.

I'm still annoyed this very context-specific W&G model won the review instead of the more iconic/basic all-purpose version that made it into an earlier review. I want Wallace in his green vest as a standing figure, and maybe a Gromit who can be built alternately bipedal or quadrupedal alongside him. I have no need for the window-washing rig and costumes. Like the karting Mario and Luigi sets, I would much prefer character sculptures that were standalone and not rooted to a specific scene. That said, the model does look fantastic. Gromit's snout looks a bit squished, though.

This looks spectacular and it is in a reasonable price range. I will get this set one way or another!

Look on the bright side—it will be easier to make your own version of Wallace's classic outfit with some of the parts from this one. Heck, those 1x1 domes with eye printing could be great for MOCing all sorts of Wallace and Gromit characters.

It's in there, check the lifestyle image with the half-built set ;) Right below the mouth tile. My guess is it's inside Wallace somewhere, either in his belly or in his head :D

I have no idea who these two are, but I felt in love with it the moment I saw it. So adorable. All my sets are vehicles, but I think I cannot resist that one.
