Two more LEGO Seasonal sets announced!

Further to 40865 Buddy the Elf, two non-licensed Christmas sets have been revealed ahead of their release on October 1st.
40874 Santa's Holiday Countdown looks quite charming, integrating a simple drum mechanism to count down to Christmas, while 40875 Up-Scaled Mrs. Claus Minifigure joins last year's popular 40820 Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure.
Each set will cost £54.99, $59.99, €59.99 and you can view all the images below...

These are cute.
The licensed one does nothing for me but both of these are so cute! Definitely getting the Mrs. Claus to go with the Santa I got last year.

So many pictures all showing almost the exact same angles.
With all the new pieces LEGO makes, they should really consider one to replace the cheese slopes on these brick built figures. Some specialized piece to smooth out their faces would go a long way, I think
I like the countdown, don't get me wrong, but are those stickers on the wheel! They'll be a pain to apply.
Hot take but I don't like those upscaled figures. I don't hate them, but I'd much rather a whole minifigure series than one.
I love the countdown!
The upscaled Mrs. Claus has a different face print from the current minifigures released, and a slight variation for her torso. Wonder if that means they'll be a new minifigure soon.
Too bad the upscaled figures don't come with a regular minifigure anymore, I thought that was neat to actually get the figure in the set.

If you want scary, I'd be tempted to rig the counter to work like a combination lock. On the 24th, the top of the chimney hinges open to reveal nothing but black "coal pieces". Then, when you close the chimney again, you'd see that Santa's eyes has turned 180 degrees...

Maybe it’s the render or angles, but I think Mrs Claus could have given me nightmares as a child. She’s just… looming over you.
I’m fine with that though. We have a couple of small Christmassy Lego things to put out, and I don’t want to have tons of seasonal things obliging me every year. I can always build something if I actually want to
Mrs. Claus will be a fine addition to my collection, whereas that countdown is nearly as nightmarish as 40864…

Looks the same as on 40678. I needed a steady hand to put those on.
We were doing so well with the up-scaled minifigs. The first few were brilliant, the LEGO House knee is excellent (as it should be) and the Blue Astronaut was good as well. But now we’ve had three shockers in a row - Darth Vader had a rubbish head, the Pokémon trainer creeps me out, and Mrs. Claus looks all wrong. Why couldn’t they have done a Gingerbread man instead?

Mrs. Claus is an upscaled minifig and Santa is not.

Different style sets. Last year's upscaled Santa minifigure is yellow. This new Santa is not an upscaled minifigure, so doesn't use the yellow skin colour.

The brick pattern under her skirt just made me think, "She's A Brick...House!"
At least they're affordable unlike last year's! Though the lack of a Winter Village set is not assuaging my fears for the last year that the line's been cancelled
Cute, but the belt has the same problem as with Mr Santa. The belt stops mid way. Unless it's just my opinion that I think in an detailed manner.
