Posted by ,

In the run-up to the May the Fourth promotion LEGO is going to reveal the sets that'll be 40% off during the period, one set at a time, at shop.LEGO.com.

Today the first one was revealed:

  • On 6th May, 75171 Battle on Scarif, which normally retails at £55, will be c. £33.

We'll keep you informed during the week.

Excellent, wasn't quite sure what to expect from this offer but I'm pleasantly surprised and hopefully I'll be able to pick this first set up :-)

By in United Kingdom,

This is good news. A set I want and not too expensive So further purchases are possible. Y-wing next please!

By in Netherlands,

Interesting ... Battle on Scarif is mentioned at one picture, and 75149: Resistance X-wing Fighter is shown at another picture. So I guess both are going to be getting the 40% discount on different days.

By in United Kingdom,

I've been waiting for a good discount on Scarif. With the £50 free postage threshold, I might have to buy two if I'm allowed :-)
Either have the other sets or in the case of the build-able figures, I don't want them.

By in United Kingdom,

Seems odd they appear to be officially announcing in a non-chronological order!

By in Norway,

@promobricks Cool! Thank you for the link!

By in Norway,

Millennium Falcon 40% off on May 4th? Makes sense. :-)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Excellent! I'm after that set but I didn't want to have to pay full price for it. Problem solved!

Gravatar
By in Italy,

At shop.lego.com/it the Millennium Falcon increased price by 10€... just to be ready for the 40% discount (that therefore will be 35%)

By in Canada,

Does anyone know if the same deals will be available in North America (Canada) too?

By in United Kingdom,

I was asked not to reveal the whole list straight away so as not to undermine LEGO's marketing plans, but oh well...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Of course this isn't in the US. You guys just had triple VIP points, what the heck! I want to finally get Scarif for %40 off and also get more stuff for a free R2-D2! :P

By in Puerto Rico,

It's sad that this is so far only to Europe, guess we tend to fight who gets the better half of Lego discounts from time to time.

By in United Kingdom,

This article is a bit confusing. So the pic shows the X-wing as the first discount, but Scarif on May 6th is the last day of the promotion. Plus these tie with promobricks' link above. Very glad Scarif is the only Rogue One set I don't have yet.

By in United Kingdom,

This works out perfect for me, that X-Wing is the only TFA set I need and 40% discount brings it to just over £50 which will means I qualify for the free R2D2!

So that just leaves me working out what I want to purchase to get the R2-M2 poly bag a week later...

By in United Kingdom,

^^ we can blame LEGO for the confusion. Uploaded the wrong pic to [email protected] by the looks of it...

By in United States,

Will the sets be discounted the whole week, or only for that specific day? Because I want to get the R2-D2, Slave I, and the deal on the AT-ST too. But the R2 is from May 4-7 and the AT-ST is May 1st.

By in Germany,

LegoCreep: The R2-D2 is from April-29 to May-6, did you mean the R3-M2? This is from May-7 to May-31. Sets will be discounted on the specific day on [email protected] and Store (except on weekend and may, 1st, these sets will be discounted on the last day before the weekend).

@legocreep, you'd be better getting the At-St from Amazon now at 33% discount, and get the rest in one order from Lego.
Edit: just noticed you are in the US so the deals may not be the same.

By in United States,

@CM4Sci: The U.S. just had triple VIP points, but that is equivalent to a 15% discount redeemable on future purchases. Obviously, a 40% discount is a far better deal (especially when the discount is on really good Star Wars sets).

Lego, please give North America gets this same promotion...PLEASE!!!!!.

A disappointing list of sets for the 40% discount. The best set of the bunch is the Millenium Falcon but I already have 2 of those! I will pick up a Battle on Scarif set but I would be worried whether they have any R2-D2 sets left by then so I will have to pick up another Resistence X-Wing on the first day just to ensure I get the cool R2-D2. I was really hopying for the #75158 Rebel Combat Frigate to be discounted. It's being retired but at £110 is way overpriced.

@woosterlegos, I'm pretty sure we never got Triple VIP points here in the US, it wasn't advertised and I made a large purchase in that time-frame and only got the following: Diddley Squat and a cheesy tiny City Police helicopter (that was in no way equivalent to the out-of-stock mini VW Beetle). Oh and even Diddley Squat was out-of-stock. Looks like Lego will be running the exact same promotion awhile longer here in the US: buy a small fortune of our product and get free Diddley Squat (ps. it's still out-of-stock). I feel soo loved Lego, you're too kind!

Hopefully toys r us will pricematch as the £10 vouchers come into play soon as well

By in United Kingdom,

Well just seen on the Lego shop UK site that the X-wing is 40% off on the 29th of April and the Battle on Scarif is 40% off on the 6th of May, so I'm guessing that the german list promobricks posted is accurate for everywhere.

Typically though, all the sets I want from that list I've already got, so its a rather poor list from my point of view.

By in Belgium,

For some reason only 30 percent in Belgium and France, while sets are all more expensive in Belgium to begin with. That seems counterintuitive because, say, a 100 euro set will be 70 in Belgium but only 54 in Germany since there it would only start at 90 euro, discounted at 40 percent. You would expect the more expensive countries to be getting the bigger discount?

By in United Kingdom,

If the discounted sets in the link are true, this is a rediculousy poor promo! This is supposed to be the 40th Anniversary CELEBRATIONS...... They need to put a UCS set like Hoth or Slave I , otherwise lego might just as well put a link to Amazon on their website and be done with it. Even the millennium Falcon has been at £99 for ages! John Lewis are doing just as good deals lately!! Rant over....

By in United Kingdom,

^ I agree with Tim. I was really hopying to see at least one D2C set on 40% off list :(

By in Australia,

I guessed the below (about a week ago), and only got 1 right
75114 - First Order Stormtrooper
75119 - Sergeant Jyn Erso
75139 - Battle on Takodana
75149 - Resistance X-Wing Fighter
75156 - Krennic's Imperial Shuttle
75154 - TIE Striker
75137 - Carbon-Freezing Chamber
75150 - Vader’s TIE Advanced vs. A-Wing Starfighter"

Resistance X-Wing (75149)
Scarif Trooper (75523)
AT-ST (75153)
Rebel Trooper Battle Pack (75164)
Luke’s Landspeeder (75173)
Millenium Falcon (75105)
K-2SO (75120)
Battle on Scarif (75171)

By in Australia,

@Timmack1716, understand your sentiment, but I thought there was 0% change of any large (40%) discount on the UCS sets.

The 40% discount is certainly more "sales" than celebration

That being said I really really wanted 75095 TIE Fighter on sale.

By in United Kingdom,

I was gonna say about the discounts, a lot of them are rather poor given current prices in places. If your in the UK at least... Krennics Shuttle is £50 from Argos at the moment.

As for the actual sets in the list.. X-wings £64 from most places, K2 and the Scarif Trooper you can find for £10-£12, Battle on Scarif is £40 at Argos stores right now, and the At-ST is £35 most places too. The battle packs £10 a lot of places too, and I picked up the Falcon for £94 from Smyths before x-mas, where its been sat at sub £99 since.

You think they'd do at least once big set for 40% off... The Death Star for instance would be nice.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Most people don't live near or have the time to go to a lego store on a particular day. So if you want any of the smaller sets and they're only available on set days, you're going to have to spend minimum £35 for free delivery to make the offer worthwhile. Seems a bit cynical from lego to me! Think they'll be celebrating more than us.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Woosterlegos we're still getting the triple VIP points in the uk until sunday

Gravatar
By in United States,

UK/EU gets triple VIP points and real discounts on May 4th. In the US we've only gotten double VIP as far as I know, and the past few May 4th sales have been rather disappointing.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Like many others I'm seriously hoping North America gets discounts too. I don't get why LEGO can't please both continents.
