Our friends over at Jedi News are at the New York Comic Con and have sent us a photo of a poster that confirms we'll be seeing more BrickHeadz next year:

  • January: Four Justice League and two Star Wars
  • April: Two Star Wars and four Avengers

They are numbered from 21: I'm guessing that's to indicate that they are second year models.

I'll let you have fun speculating who they might be by examining the silhouettes.

Thanks to Matt for the picture.

You can view a large version at Flickr

Jedi News has also been able to acquire 41498 Boba Fett & Han Solo in Carbonite and has posted a video documenting the build on Facebook.View image at flickr

By in Ireland,

Justice league, left to right, top to bottom: flash, wonder woman, aqua man and cyborg.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Isn't the numbering off due to exclusives? After all, SDCC exclusive Spiderman is 15 and Venom is 16... there's only 17, 18, 19 and 20 missing...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Star Wars bottom left is Kylo Ren I think; it looks to be holding a cross.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Avengers possibly Guardians of the Galaxy.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Justice League: Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg and Wonder Woman

Star Wars: Rey, Kylo Ren, Han Solo, Chewie??,

Avengers: Thor, Thanos or Hulk, Star Lord, Mantis??

By in United Kingdom,

@ MGDawson

You have the Toys'r'us Lloyd and Master Wu exclusives and NYCC Boba Fett and Han Carbonite. These might count for 17 - 20.

Gravatar
By in Bulgaria,

Top left on Star Wars is probably Rey, with Kylo under her. I might be wrong for the ones on the right, but the top one looks to me like Han Solo/Poe Dameron and under him might be anyone with Stormtrooper-like armour, possibly Captain Phasma.

By in Ireland,

Based on the shapes of the avengers, I would think Gamora is bottom right (dagger, female hair), and the only person with actual wings I can think of is Falcon. Which both would help with the diversity of the range.

Gravatar
By in France,

Maybe Commander Cody for SW top right? Looks like a clone Helmet with telemetric visor up? I probably see this because I really like Cody character and would appreciate to see it in BH line.
HangedSanchez sure looks like KR bottom left.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Certain of 23 Aqua man due to trident, 26 Kylo Ren due to cross shaped lightsaber, 36 Falcon due to wings. 25 has a saber, the other two SW carry blasters.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Avengers, left to right, up and down:
Thor, Thanos, Star-Lord, Gamora

Gravatar
By in United States,

21: Flash
22: Wonder Woman
23: Aquaman
24: Cyborg
25: Rey
26: Kylo Ren (without mask just like in the Last Jedi Trailer)
39: Han Solo (original trilogy)
40: Chewbacca (Original trilogy)

By in Norway,

So for every 12 released for retail there are at least 8 exclusives: first 8 exclusives, 1-12 retail, 13-20 exclusives, 21-26 retail, 27-34 exclusives(?), 35-40 retail = 24 exclusives + 24 retail so far, it seems...
LEGO really missed the mark for making Brickheadz collectibles. They are not collectable at all.
I still love them to bits, but knowing my collection will never be "complete" makes me less eager to purchase all if some characters do not interest me much...

@ Jacopyright

That it ridiculous and plays purely into the hands of scalpers, annoys me how companies just never understand how to do this right.

If you're going to have so many exclusives they should be separately numbered "A1, A2" or "01X, 02X" etc. Something that can be listed apart from the normal releases, this means normal buyers can get a full collection (without having to ask where the other numbers are) and real hunters can get the full lot.

Hasbro did the same thing with Transformers for their 30th anniversary by numbering a particular amount of sets in a list of thirty, the problem was one set had a variation and was separately numbered (meaning you had to buy the same LARGE figure twice and both I think at conventions) two were released using the same number and overseas lots were released WITHOUT the numbering, it was an absolute shambles!

By in Poland,

No original themes = No buy

Seriously, am I the only one who would buy Johhny Thunder or Basil Batlord?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Kylo Ren and Rey for Star Wars. Star-Lord and Gamora for some of the Avengers.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@ lordofdragons

Definitely basil the bat lord, some other older ones would also be good.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Seeing that the two star wars characters on the right are being released in April and one looks very much like Han Solo, i think it it safe to say that those two belong to the new Han Solo Movie while the other two belong to The Last Jedi. Most of these are pretty easy to pick out what they are and this is what i think from left to right and top to bottom:

Justice League:
- Flash
- Wonder Woman
- Aqua Man
- Cyborg

Star Wars:
- Rey
- Han solo
- Kylo Ren
- Chewbacca? New Han Solo movie character?

Avengers:
?
?
Star Lord
Gamora

@brickmasterentertainment I doubt they are from the original trilogy

Gravatar
By in United States,

Call me crazy, but I think the top left Avenger might be Deadpool

Gravatar
By in Norway,

I sincerely hope we do not get a THIRD Wonder Woman, though... I mean: 7,5% of a relatively small series dedicated to ONE character?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@lordofdragonss I would like to get
Johhny thunder too !!

I hope there is the flash too !!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Do i see original trilogy characters?!!!!! I hope it is.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg. Rey, Finn, Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma. Vision, Groot, Peter Quill, Wanda.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Yeah, Justice League is clearly:

Flash - Wonder Woman
Aquaman - Cyborg

The Star Wars ones are probably split between the Han Solo movie and the Last Jedi, which is made even more clear by the fact that the other 8 name a specific movie and the Star Wars ones don't, so it looks like:

Rey - Han Solo
Kylo Ren - Han Solo movie character (An alternate version of Boba Fett? The head shape looks pretty dang close to the Comic Con one.)

The two on the top of the last group are the hardest. They've already made Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow and Captain America. Doesn't look like either is Dr Strange, Black Panther or Bucky Barnes. That leaves Vision, Spiderman, Ant-Man, Falcon, Hawkeye, a villain, or a new character. The bottom characters are pretty clearly Star Lord and Gamora.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Star Wars - The two in January are probably Rey and Ren to release with the Last Jedi movie. The other two in April are probably Solo and Chewie to go along with the new Han Solo movie(Although the top right one appears to have a visor, so i'm wondering if it might be a scout trooper).

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm hedging my bets on Rey and Kylo for Jan. and OT Han and Chewie for April.

Gravatar
By in United States,

My guesses;
Cyborg
Wonder woman
Aquaman
Superman
Kylo ren
Rey
Poe dameron or solo. (mentioned)
Chewie or trooper. (Mentioned.)
Hawkeye
Thanos
Wolverine?
Nebula or Gamora.

Gravatar
By in United States,

We've already seen JL

SW are Han, Chewbacca, Rey, and Kylo

IW are Iron Man, Thanos, Star Lord and maybe Gamora? I feel like the hair and skirt don't really fit Gamora..

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Keep bringing these out please Lego. Saving me money since I have zero interest. Need to save as much as I can to buy sets I do like. Also hoping for a small UCS set next year. Too many big sets this year my wallet needs a break.

Gravatar
By in Venezuela,

I just hope they are well designed, which luckily has been true of BHs.
Now, on a different subject, "GO BRICK YOUR COLLECTION"? Really?

Gravatar
By in United States,

^CM4Sci
I think it's nebula not gamora, as she is a character in Infinity ring, as long they follow the comics. The shadows would probably look the same.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Or, as a follow up, maybe it is gamora.
GAHHHHHHHHHHH! This is so mind twisting!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm going with Falcon, Star Lord, Gamora, and I think 35 is Hawkeye (with the weird angled thingee being a bow).

Gravatar
By in United States,

Aww c'mon, where are the rest of Disney characters? :c

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

I don't like Brickheads, but as a Flash fan I'll probably buy that one.

Gravatar
By in France,

For JL, I saw the same as pretty much everyone, Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg.
For Star Wars Rey, Kylo, Poe and a trooper.
Avengers are more difficult. Deadpool, Falcon, Drax, Gamora.

After some people said Thanos for 36, I noticed the wings were asymetrical, but he wears goggles.
Star Lord is probably a more obvious character to make than Drax actually.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Anyone have any info on the large BrickHeadz that was pictured with the Avengers: Infinity War ones in the product catalogue? I'm holding out hope it's a large Thanos with his throne, maybe it also includes all four members of the Black Order in addition to Thanos. Why isn't it teased on this poster? Will it be a retailer exclusive?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I do not fully understand the appeal of these particular sets, however it does feel quite slanted in releases considering that these BrickHeadz seem to be completely focused on Super Heroes, all of the SDCC exclusives have been super hero related so far, and on top of that they have the lions share of releases thanks to The LEGO Batman Movie, Justice League, Civil War and Avengers. Kind of detracts from the ingenuity of the designs and the numerous possibilities we could see in such a diverse range of characters that LEGO has access to, from IPs to Licensed themes there are so many more potential interesting constructs we could be seeing in this line, it's a shame that the Super Heroes take the lions share of releases.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I personally don't see the appeal of these sets and my 6 year-old son is upset because he feels like Lego stopped making Mixels in favor of this theme. The Brickheadz just overflow the shelves of our local Lego Store and Toys R Us. Does anybody know of any kids that actually like these kits or is is basically just adult collectors that buy them?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I firmly believe that these sets are not aimed at Lego fans. Rather they’re aiming to get people into Lego.

These are almost certainly aiming at the comic fan market. See Funko Pop vinyls, with IP’s such as Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, DC, Star Wars, etc. Also explains why there are so many convention exclusives of these.

There will be more, and mostly on desirable cult IP’s rather than Lego original IP’s.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

The Last Jedi:
25 Rey
26 Kylo Ren

Han Solo Film:
39 Han Solo
40 Chewie

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm still thinking GotG for the Avengers set. Drax, Groot, Starlord and Rocket.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't really care for these personally, but a guessing game is always a good time.

I'm pretty sure #35 is Dr. Strange, and that the "wings" are actually his cape with collar. #36 looks like Hulk with a minor difference in the hair and hand. Where Hulk's hand is formed like a fist, this one has studs facing out, which to me means the jewels on Thanos' gauntlet. Also, they only appear on the left hand, not the right.

The rest:

Flash - WW
Aquaman - Cyborg

Rey - Han
Kylo - Chewie

Dr. Strange - Thanos
Star Lord - Gamora

P.s. true to form, Brickset fails to post my comment the first time. Lucky thing there's copy-paste.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I'm surprised these are so popular.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Absolutely, absolutely no interest, sorry! LEGO please draw to a close all these bizarre offshoots, they must be costing you a fortune. While writing *please* stop buying up weird, obscure licences, nobody is interested, stick to what you're best and great at...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Please tell me that 35 is deadpool. I think that 36 is another hulk since it has the same kind of hands. I hope it's RED HULK!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Why would it be Deadpool or Red Hulk? That doesn't make any sense. Thanos would make way more sense. Avengers... let's think "movie" here.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

What I find most interesting is how divisive Brickheadz are as a theme.
Either you love them or you hate them.
Coupled with the fact that they seem to mainly concentrate on SuperHeroes, which in itself is a love it or hate it theme.

I'm with @kumasawa in that I would love to see them get rid of Brickheadz and back to Mixels. My kids also have zero use for Brickheadz and are so annoyed that Lego ditched Mixels in favor of those.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I'll take Mixels over these any day....cheaper and better for parts pack as well. Plus there were no exclusives. Plus you could combine sets...that is true to the Lego mantra.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Justice League: Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and Flash
Star Wars The Last Jedi: Finn, Captain Phasma, Rey and Kylo Ren
Avengers: Infinity War: Thanos Black Order

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Sooo... 19 is Finn and 20 is captain Phasma, as has just been revealed...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is it true that 41498 Boba Fett & Han Solo in Carbonite released in NYCC was about numbered 1-5000. Saw that on ebay it went from $200s to $100 and if they did have 5000, I think then this will be down to 50s-70s? I hate to pay so much even for this set
