By in Switzerland,

awesome, so it's probably some bs like 100 CHF or something for Switzerland....

By in Serbia,

I found a whole bunch of Batman pods in TRU in Villach, Austria, for sale for 5 EUR. So maybe TRU will have these as well...

By in Hungary,

I hope there'll be discounts on some Star Wars sets during this promo, otherwise this Dart Vader pod does not justify full price SW purchase.

Reminds me of Vader's egg from The Empire Strikes Back.

Does anyone know when the UK version of the Lego store calendar will be out?

By in Germany,

Seems like Vader would be one of the worst characters to have a POD for. the thing that made TLBM one interesting is because it had parts that were not found in the other 53 Bat-suits. Even the Ninjago was a different outfit for the person. Vader seems to be the same as he always is. This would have been a great chance to put in a lesser used minifig.

Sadly I don't really collect the pods, but for this I might have to make an exception.

By in United States,

^ I agree, a zombie StormTrooper would have been better for October. I don't have this particular DV helmet but I doubt there will be SW sets for me that I want desperately (Y-Wing is rhe only one so far and it is because of Moroff).

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Don't get me wrong if you want a DV and have not gotten one of the sets that he is in this is a great way to get it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't know why they did Darth Vader considering you could get him AND Emperor Palpatine in 75183 Darth Vader Transformation for the low price of $24.99 USD

By in United States,

I love when people complain about a free item.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

^ I think of these as 'Conditional', not 'Free'
If it was free, sure I'd grab one. Since it requires a large outlay at a time of year already requiring larger than normal outlays it's an easy pass

By in Sweden,

Wow, I waited for YEARS for ol' Darth to show up in an affordable set and finally got my hands on one this year with 75183. And now they're giving him out for (sort of) free!

Definitely not complaining, I'm glad that there'll be more who can get a Darth Vader without having to buy €100+ sets, but as someone who waited for so, so long it's a bit shocking to see him as a freebie.

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

^ You still have to buy Star Wars set(s) costs at least $60.
So the set 75183 for $25 is a better way to get Vader. (AND a damaged Anakin AND Palpatine)

SMH

You people are unbelievable. If you spend $60 on Star Wars from LEGO anyways, than it's free with purchase.

If you don't want him, then don't buy Star Wars, problem solved, but complaining over something LEGO give out ad doesn't have to is insane.

@David 1895 It is stating the obvious to say if one is not interested then don't buy. Yet it misses the business-CX discussion, which is relevant. Promotional items are a cost of marketing built into the pricing of Lego products. Thus having a conversation about the perceived value is PRECISELY a relevant discussion. And if such happens to contribute to the performance of sales (pro or con) in that promotional period then it is MATERIAL to the development and brand management of the line going forward.

Has anyone heard anything about the falcon? TLG sent out an email saying it would be coming very soon but its been a ghost town with Lego.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Honestly I don't mind if Lego puts their most recognisable characters in a battle pod, even though they aren't exclusive. They did that with TLNM Kai, now they do it with Vader... and if it is the OT one from 2015, then, great job Lego!

An old Luke Skywalker would have been even better, though.

By in Germany,

I don't mind the idea of vader. As I pointed out even the Kai was different. what I do have a problem with (and as a customer I am able to have and opinion) is that it looks like the standard vader. There was a cartoon that came out 5-6 years ago that included a vader but he had a medal or something that made him different. It was an incentive to buy THAT thing. David1895 is correct none of us HAVE to buy anything from Lego, and there are a lot of "freebies" that I personally pass on for a number of reasons, but with something like the 20 year anniversary there SHOULD be something better. just my not-so-humble opinion.

By in Germany,

funny story, I barely collect star wars... This really does not affect me other than the fact that I want to get the buildable figures during that timeframe anyway.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

IF you spend $60 on Star Wars from LEGO anyways, THEN
Yep- conditional

Is it a reason to spend more on the sets so as to get them from Lego directly & get this item rather than pay less elsewhere? Given the 'complaints' as you title them, it appears many people believe not & are discussing their reasons as to why not.

By in Canada,

Since there is nothing exclusive I rather buy Vader’s transformation and save my money

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Nice pod for free not something I'm after . What I want to know is when are the Christmas mini sets being given away. I didnt see them mentioned on the Decembers calendar. Anyone one got any ideas?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm not complaining, but I will just state that the incentive to buy (for me) just isn't there. Exclusive Batman figure? I got it. Exclusive Kai? Definitely intrigued, I might get it. Exclusivity of figures was the reason I was interested in the previous ones, so this one is a meh in my book.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

disagreeing does not mean complaining.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Missed chance to give us something new or rare, like a Cloud City Luke or Lando, Rey with rebel pilot helmet or whatever. Same with the poly bags, we got another Stormtrooper nearly identical to the one in an available set, several times!
I'm not complaining about a free item, I just think there could have been a minifig that I and many others would love to have, and lead us to spend money to get that pod.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm more interested in the Mini London Bus set. I never got that when it was originally released.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

@M_blockhead_357 it looks like the bus and Vader pod overlap for a few days.

If there are any buses left on the 15th I'll check if there are any Starwars sales and try to get them both with one purchase.

By in United States,

As someone with 201 Star Wars Lego sets, I am probably a target of this promotion but am unimpressed and will pass.

A unique or interesting minifigure would, and has in the past made me spend the $$ on sets I probably don't need/want that much. This offering does not compel me to spend my money at shop.lego vs amazon where everything ends up discounted 20% or more.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not sure if anyone else noticed, but I think this includes on of the chrome-y shiny lightsaber hilts. Can't be sure from the picture, though.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Well worth it if it's a new Chrome Darth Vader. Otherwise not really interested. Like alot of people I already have a few Darth Vader figures with the new helmet. I missed the batpod since they never reached us in Australia. There were plenty of fake listings which discouraged me buying from overseas. I've stopped buying online now except from well known stores. Costs for delivery from overseas has skyrocketed which also doesn't help.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The calendar has been posted over on thebrickfan and it shows that new sets will be available from November 25th! Including an image of a Nexo Knight set that I don't believe has been widely revealed (non-leaked, watermarked) yet before now.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Definitely want to pick this up. Nice little bonus item.
Good stocking stuffer for the young collectors out there.
Chrome hilt maybe?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is this Darth Vader chrome?
Would be an awesome promo if so.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It would've been an easy solution to make a different torso and create an 'A New Hope' style Vader - different enough for people, but still close enough not to disappoint others.

I won't seek it out, but if I come across it, will buy.
