Free Millennium Falcon at Target
Posted by Huw,
Throughout this month Target stores in the USA are offering a different free gift with LEGO purchases each week and this week, 12-18 November, it's this mini Millennium Falcon which is the only unique item on offer.
It's packed in a polybag and appears to be the same as the model given away at Star Wars Celebration in 2015, which we don't have in the database but which is included in the DK Ultimate LEGO Star Wars book. This one has a different printed plate, though.
There's a shocking lack of quality control on the packaging: there's a 'n' missing in the craft's name and parts are, apparently, made in 'Hungury', among other places, according to the back of the bag.
Still, it's a neat freebie, which can also be purchased for $4.99.

that spelling mistake on the packaging will make this set worth more in years to come.
Only available at Target stores in the USA, *sigh*.
I guess I'll have to wait till this shows up on bricklink for $50 (not that I would buy it).
Model is, erm, hmmm. But, that white Star Wars printed plate is worth having lots of :-)
Surely that should be STAR WNRS
Oh man, I was just in Target last night bought a couple of small sets. I didn't see anything about this. Guess I'll have to go back pick something up.
Does anyone think there would still be some left in stock next week?
They're on an end cap near the Lego isle. Local store had a bunch. I picked one up but couldn't justify 5 bucks for 20 pieces... and laid it back down. I thought about buying a few for the community but with shipping I can't imagine anyone really wants one of these that badly.
This is almost as exciting as the turtle giveaway they had recently... (sarcasm).
It is nice of them to offer gifts with purchase since that isn't normally their style, but I can't say I am that impressed with either. Not that it matters. I am done buying LEGO for the year, so I won't bother looking for these. But sure enough, there will be plenty of people that like them. Oh what a world we live in.
I found it last night with a bunch of them all flopped in a pile on an end cap shelf like they were an abused orphan. Not too exciting of a build—but I thought the base might be useful for something else. I was more enticed by the Kiss Kiss Tuxedo Batman of which they had extras stocked on that same end cap.
Mine just rang up as Buy One Get One Free, making them $2.50 USD. The display had them at $2.99/ea
Argghh, why are we never getting these sets in Denmark...I wish someone in the States would go down to Target, buy some of these (and the Batman kiss kiss poly) and just ship it off in an envelope to me ;-) hint hint.....
I'm seriously getting tired of all these different exclusive sets being released around the world. Has Lego no shame - don't they know how that affects a true collector ;)
Thanks for the heads up. Just put in for 4 for store pickup and saved a whole dollar from red card. These will be cool stocking stuffers.
Edit: Weird mine show 4.99 not buy one get one or 2.99. Will check it in store when I go for pickup.
Friend of mine just got me one from Target.
No spelling mistake on the bag though
I actually just got that set yesterday for purchasing one of the new Last Jedi sets.
The Target in Plattsburgh NY was fresh out when I stopped there yesterday. I was super bummed that I missed out...until I saw this article and the picture of what it actually was ! :D $5 for that?? Sheesh.
I just bought two at Target after reading this article (thanks Huw!). Mine were $4.99 each. I could have gotten one free with a Star Wars LEGO purchase of $24.99 or higher, so was going to get five plus a polybag, but they clarified that the requirement was to buy a single set that is $24.99 or more itself - not a combination....
Picked it up today and must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the build ... all 2 minutes of it.
I have a bunch, in the US, willing to trade for euro exclusives!
