The Duplo is adorable! And System stuff is cool too.

By in Sweden,

Looks Ok, I am not a huge fan. But I do like that new big dinosaur (and the smaller one). It looks like sets are being revealed a lot now. Can’t wait to see what’s next!

Pretty funny to see big evil looking dinosaurs and then seeing small cute duplo versions. ;P

By in France,

Looks cool but that jeep for the pteranodon set is too simple for a system set :(

By in United States,

Wow... those sets are bad, like really bad. It's hard to tell the difference between the Junior and System sets.

By in United States,

The Duplo is adorable but I am only aiming for: Stygimoloch Breakout and Carnotaurus Gyrosphere Escape.
Edit: is that a baby Carnotauros?

By in United Kingdom,

Not a fan either. Every set has a vehicle and a dinosaur, so the movie is basically people in vehicles chasing dinosaurs... great. A building with a dinosaur might be nice, not just an enclosure.

By in Germany,

Like David already pointed out: Pretty juniorized. This time even the cars look rubbish.
The only reason to buy any of those sets are the great dinosaurs (once again).

By in United States,

Pteranadon Chase set looks great! I want it, but I don't even have the budget for a small set right now.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The system sets looks decent, but the dinosaurs are definitely the highlights. They're better than ever.

@Lordmoral: I think its a generic baby dinosaur

By in United States,

Interesting note about the Stygimoloch: Multiple renowned paleontologists, including Jack Horner (who worked as an advisor in the Jurrasic Park films), have come to believe that it is simply a juvenile Pachycephalosaurus. Just thought it was odd to include it over Pachycephalosaurus.

By in United States,

We are getting a building, it's a museum that seems to be very important to the movie. But it it just very tan and flat, like most System / Friends sets are in modern times.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

They look OK, I said that lego would end up using that new net launcher in the JW theme.. When I first saw it on that mountain police city set,

"I wonder what else will be revealed today"

What do you know!?!?

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Stygimoloch!!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not too impressed with the builds, except for the Gyrosphere set. They seem a bit...simple.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I love the Duplo set! The others seem a little to simple for me. But I like the dinosaurs.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Matt89190 My bet is on Incredibles sets being revealed today, we just got a new trailer.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow, that helicopter looks bad. The rotor blades are way too short. As others have said, these sets appear juniorized.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Background color of the pteranodon in the smaller set going to be tan? Or just a really bad white balance?

The JW pteranodons would seem to be a threepeat of the gray/red style.

Gravatar
By in Jordan,

^^TheMikeAwakens The helicopter is a Lego Juniors set, as is the Raptor Rescue Truck.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Are these all Junior sets or what? None of those vehicles look very good. And the dino selection seems kind of weak. My son really likes the LEGO dinosaurs I picked up when the last movie came out. But I don’t see a reason to get these.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Still even as a juniorized set the helicopter blades are way too short.

And I think people are forgetting that it's Toy Fair weekend, so of course we will be getting more info throughout today and the next few. If LEGO's fuhrer (Disney) let's them we will get Incredibles 2 sets. Heck they will be coming out around the same time as the Jurassic World sets (April).

By in Belgium,

The Duplo set is a definite purpose. For my three girls, obviously. It won't mysteriously appear on my display shelf when no-one's looking.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Love the Duplo set!

Gravatar
By in United States,

My take: as a fan of dinosaurs since childhood, these sets look...okay. I think i'll buy only a dozen. Side note, i'm not sure how i feel about Carnotaurus using the T-Rex body. Technically speaking, in terms of size the Carnotaurus should be smaller than T-Rex, but larger than Velociraptor. Using the T-Rex body throws the scale out of whack. Not a deal-breaker, but still important to note. Then again, it's not the first time Lego has demonstrated a shaky grasp of relative scale. Nor will it be the last...

Gravatar
By in Poland,

I know what you mean Spartan Ghost, they already made mistake by making Raptors as big as Karno xD

Gravatar
By in United States,

I am going to buy multiples of all of the sets!!!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Like most of the 2018 offerings revealed so far, these also get a simple
Meh
from me, sorry to say. 2018 still seems to be the cheapest LEGO year for me in a long time. Up to now there is not one set that I would call a must-have for me. My wallet is more than happy though, considering that most sets revealed so far are not only mediocre but highly overpriced at the same time. LEGO really is in for a rude awakening imho, come next year when they count the 2018 beans.

By in United States,

"These sets look 'juniorized' "

Well, I mean technically LEGO is for a certain age group...Did you try asking children how they feel about it?

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

What about that other big set that was revealed? That set looks like a great playset! You should add the picture for that set.

But it seems like it includes a lot of spoilers.

By in Canada,

So for Jurassic World the sets featured over-detailed over-sized vehicles to be in scale with the Dinos and a few 'enclosures' for the bigger predators. Not to mention a massive out-of-scale T-Rex transport. And fans complained about everything.

Now they've lost some of the over-sized and over-detailed vehicle builds, perhaps to better reflect the prices, though I wouldn't hold my breath on that. And everyone complains that they look too Juniorized even for System sets.

Quite frankly, I can see where some of these sets are definitely underwhelming, however; I also can see where they'd be great fun for kids. Name two things you loved about Jurassic Park when you were a kid? Park Explorer and T-Rex springs automatically to mind. Or that really awesome Jeep they used in the 'Rex' is closer than she appears joke scene. And Raptors in the kitchen.

For kids nowadays the name of the movie may be different, but the memorable aspects about them are still going to be strongly influenced by Cool vehicles, cool dinosaurs and LEGO delivers. These sets may have been simplified more to fix the price issues a lot of folks had with the first batch from this Theme, I remember a lot of complaints about those things being too expensive for what you were getting. I have no idea what the Canadian Prices will be exactly for the System sets, but I will be picking these up and adding them to my collection. Because I love the look of them and the fact that you get some really fun set pieces for an awesome Jurassic Park display.

I could use some larger walled pens to keep the Dinos in, but I can always MOC them taller and more built up if I ever really wanted to.

These sets look fun and enjoyable, and there are multiple options now including all of the Junior sets for getting tons of Dinos. And printed elements. I'm looking forward to these sets and I'm getting a little repetitive.

By in United States,

Stygmiloch looks good. May get the Pteradon, but IMO the last Jurassic World movie's wave was better then this.

Gravatar
By in United States,

No stegosaurus. I am very disappointed.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Really dig all the dino's here and nice minifig prints all around.
On Blue's Helicopter Pursuit like that 'copter and big massive mini-gun.
Even though it's a Juniors Set (T-Rex Breakout), there's a nice T-Rex, massive doorway, etc...all look good.
Like the printed elements on the Duplo T-Rex Tower.
Like to see that interior for the Lockwood Estate set. Looking forward to more pics. Love the Triceratops skull display! That black Indoraptor looks fierce!
On the Pteranodon Chase, good tone/color on the pterodactyl and good looking jeep (sans the net shooter 'natch).
On that Carnotaurus set love the big truck. Overall fun play-set.
The Pteranodon set has a nice 'chibi'-lookin' helicopter. If that's a print on both tiles, good stuff then.
Good vehicle to mod on the Raptor Rescue set.
And that Duplo Triceratops in the Petting Zoo set...so cute!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

All very nice and all but where are the Stegosaurus, Triceratops and Brachiosaurus?.....And no, Duplo doesn’t count.

Gravatar
By in United States,

All of these are way too expensive, even though the builds are pretty decent and the dinosaurs look great except for the Indoraptor.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I quite like the Raptor Rescue Van but hope it's not a Juniors set as those tend to have inflated price-per-part ratios.

Do we have UK prices for any of the sets?

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Raptor Van Rescue is a Junior set, you can tell by the whole single piece of the bottom of the van. So it's a $20 set.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

That black raptor looks amazing!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I like to make my feelings known when I don't like something but man, do some people like to moan about the same things over and over again. When people say the sets are 'too juniorised':

1.) For essentially half the sets they ARE Juniors so it's a valid excuse
2.) What exactly is being juniorised? There are plenty of both interesting and 'classic' uses of parts in these sets, though I won't defend the use of the single piece cockpit in the Blue Helicopter.

Even if I was to admit that the proper System helicopter and buggy were a little disappointing, the other sets are fantastic across the price brackets. The Stygimoloch Breakout is good fun and actually has a cohesive pen, the Gyrosphere set has a Gyrosphere, plenty of vegetation and a decent vehicle, and the Lockwood Manor set just generally has a very professionally finished look, even if it is just a facade. However I'm desperate to see the interior. I take it as a given that many of us just want the great new or recoloured dinos!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Very disappointing. I want to see some herbivores: Stegosaurous, hadrosaurs, sauropods, ankylosaurs, etc. I already have all the dinosaurs from last wave of Jurassic World sets but see any must haves here.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are so overpriced it makes me sick! This is a sad year for LEGO prices. Unfortunately I think sales will decline further this year due to new heights in ridiculous pricing.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

My kids don't need more Duplo.... They really really don't.... But you know.... SOOOOO ooh cute! And dinos!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Is it just me that thinks it's odd there are Duplo and/or juniors sets for a movie that is likely to be rated 12A?

Gravatar
By in United States,

A shame I gotta save up for the new Harry Potter sets or I might get these. Darn you and your excellent sets LEGO!
