Whoa nice! A classic Jurrasic set!

By in United States,

Yes!!!!! Jurassic Park! We just need Ian Malcom!

By in United States,

This is amazing, is it just me or does one of the guards in the World set look like Agent Trace from Lego Agents?

By in United States,

Nice!!!! I REALLY hope this isn’t the only classic JP set!

By in United States,

Gotta have that Park set,,.but damn, $40 for that seems a bit steep. The build isn’t much...and should be full on kitchen instead of just a little side build. Still...LEGO will likely get my money on this set.

By in United States,

This is the most exciting LEGO news of the year! Original Jurassic Park sets have been a dream 65 million years in the making!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I must have these as well as the others just take all my money Lego... all of it

Gravatar
By in United States,

YESSS!!! CLASSIC!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Both of these sets look pretty great! The fencing on the dino cages has definitely taken a step up since the first Jurassic World sets.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'll be shocked if they don't supplement this set with a JP Jeep, now that they've cracked the seal on doing sets based on the original movie.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is exciting news! I would love to get a classic JP Jeep wrangler and the JP Ford Explorer along with the Velociraptor Chase. Heck, maybe even a visitor's center set. This is definitely pulling at my heartstrings, as I had most of these toys as a kid. I will definitely plan to pick up any classic JP sets they release. The only downside is there are just TOO MANY things I want/need and not enough money! ;-)

I'm still haunted by the Ideas sets that never got approved.

The Gate

The Visitor Center

I would love it if Lego decided to produce these sets in the regular line-up. Seems possible considering the recent release of the UCS Hulkbuster ( https://ideas.lego.com/projects/0fb496b8-e406-421f-b9f0-bba4f476fbce ).

By in Australia,

They even managed to include the wobbly jello. Good times.

By in United States,

Another fence/wall set! Just what I always wanted! Thanks LEGO! I'm sure your sales won't go down at all...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Great to see a classic Jurassic Park set! Love how they fit so many scenes in one compact diorama.
Ha...fun to see Newman's little 'ah, ah, ah' computer screen hacker sticker! ;)

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I'm hoping that those miniature dinos aren't going to cost an arm and a leg on the secondary market, because I'm going to want a few of them...!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Couldn't care less about the fence set. Imho all movies after the first one were on a continuous downward slope.

But that classic set, hell yeah. Will definitely be getting that, even though the Raptor is the wrong colour. And what's with Alan Grant and his water pistol? THAT will surely help against the raptor. And don't call him Shirley...

By in Australia,

Great, a Jurassic Park set!

Ah ah ah You didn't say the magic price Lego. $39 99 is a bit steep.

I really want a Lego Richard Attenborough minifig .(John Hammond) The one in the Jurassic World game (which includes the 3 Park movies) looked awesome and the mosquito in amber would be a really cool piece to get.

I'm happy to see Sam Neil finally in Lego form.

It would be cool to get Ian Malcom, Dennis Nedry and Ray Arnold (Samuel L Jackson) as well.

Does anyone remember the name of the hunter guy (who sounded Australian) from Jurassic Park who got tricked by the raptor?

Lego should make a set called "Welcome, to Jurassic Park";

It would have a jeep, a long neck dinosaur (mental blank, the famous herbivores that eat from tall trees). And Ellie Sattler with the new leaf piece, Alan Grant and John Hammond and a driver. That would be a good $40 set.

wheres jhon hammond?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

^^ His name was Muldoon.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

it's nice, but why not make the entire visitor center like that rejected project on Lego ideas? I would buy that in a heartbeat! Anyway I hope there will be more classic Jurassic park sets, especially since it's the 25th anniversary! Perhaps something like this:

By in Germany,

So where is the toilet, so the T-Rex can have his favourite dish? Ah, it's ok. I love the classic set, even if it looks unfinished. Hope we will get this in Germany, too.

Gravatar
By in Austria,

Those are pretty good! Haven't watched any of the movies, but I think those who have will be happy.

The prices though... Lego should take a long, hard, self-critical look at their pricing policies and whether that may be a reason for declining sales.
As was the case with the previous wave (2014?), I predict that they won't be available below the recommended retail price in GER/AUT, so I'll have to work out something, maybe sell the Dinos and/or unwanted figures?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I wouldn't get your hopes up about another classic Jurassic Park set, this set is 3 scenes in 1. Logically if they were gonna produce a full range they wouldn't have wasted 3 key scenes in 1 fairly poor mid priced set. Unless this is just a toe in the water to gauge appetite for classic JP and let's face it, TLG has no issues with reproducing old sets or re-working old scenes. Again. And again. And again. And again.

By in New Zealand,

Sometimes, sets like these make me cheer on the likes of Lepin. Another stickered plane of wall series of very over-priced lazy sets. Eugh-Absolute Junk- really must be said.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It will be officially released in April, LEGO posted on their Instagram that the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom line will come out then.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Laura Dern has two minifigures now. Up there with Orlando Bloom, Christopher Lee, Harrison Ford, Samuel L. Jackson and a few others

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I love both especially the velociraptor chase,
They are both better than the jurassic world 2 sets revealed earlier this year,
Can't wait for Alan Grants Explorer and Denis Nedri's jeep fromThe dilophosaurus attack scene in the 1st jurassic park..
Also would like to see Jeff goldbums character Plus Robert muldoon and Tim Murphy's grandad in a set.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

An official Jurassic Park set? Shut up and take my money, LEGO!

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

No idea why LEGO didn't base the Jurassic Park minifigures on how they looked in the video game. Everything here seems so... off.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm a tiny bit disappointed with how the minifigures look, but this whole set as an idea is just dreamy. Love

Gravatar
By in United States,

A set from the original? SWEET!
I hope they make more classic sets as the JW comes out. Maybe two or three classic sets alongside six or seven new ones? It would fit in with how they handle similar franchises.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It would be nice to get the two classic Jurassic park vehicles along with a couple of the other main characters such as malcom and hammond. Dennis would be cool too, but that would probably mean another dilophosorus set.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I recognized Alan Grant and Tim before I even realized it was a classic set. Dang, I gotta have it. The minifigs are spot on.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I NEED that Classic movie set. Not want, NEED.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

40 bucks for a set with 289 pieces? Thats overpriced for ya!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I am so get to g the Dilophosaur attack for the wall. That weapon on Grant is wrong.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Still holding out hope for a Stegosaurus set.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Walls and minifigs. Really fun....

Gravatar
By in United States,

So the JW2 set is $40 with three figures and a dino, yet the Jurassic Park set, that isn't just another wall has 70 more pieces and another figure for the same price? Weird.

I also just realized the spoon is in an actual set for the first time.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow. The JP set is really nice. I'll get that one over the 40 dollar JW set with Owen. The gates one is iffy... It still looks really nice though.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

If I'm allowed to make a prediction here, I believe the JP set will be 50€ in Germany. And probably worse, will be an exclusive..

Anyhow, I like all the sets but I'm seriously terrified of how bad the boxes are designed, especially the background illustrations. Every set looks just so sad, lifeless and entirely out of place on the box. Seriously, compare this to the grand Speed Champions, Ninjago or Elves boxes. Was this Legos work or did they have to use such an awful style guide?

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

OH HECK YES!!!!!

And they're not Junior sets either? At least not from what I can tell?

This is a very nice surprise, as I thought the 5 regular sets were all we were gonna get for System stuff....

I hope that there will be at least one more original JP set. I NEED myself an Ian Malcolm figure.

Gravatar
By in Jordan,

^^ Huh, I'm glad I'm not the only one who think the box art on these sets look terrible.

Gravatar
By in Russian Federation,

extra points for green jelly

Gravatar
By in United States,

That first set is god awful. The same price as 75932, yet it has 3 nameless characters rather than 4 iconic ones and 71 LESS pieces. Oh but that wall build is so enticing... Can’t wait to see it on shelves for three years.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Count me excited about the Outpost, actually - would love to buy a few of those to create a larger fence. So many dinosaurs and yet no enclosures for them - plus I love Dilophosaurus!

The Raptor Chase, well... it's nice to see classic characters, a classic raptor, and it's an admirable effort to get three iconic scenes into one set, but it's trying too hard to be comprehensive with too little space. A more complete Security Room would've probably been just fine.

I saw both of these without price points and hoped they'd be closer to $29.99 for which both would have been a steal... but $39.999 for either seems steep as hell, especially when the Dilophosaurus set for JW was ten dollars less with the gyrosphere build.

The Jeep and Explorer better not be far behind. I'd kill for the Explorer! Hoping for a Hammond minifigure as well - I assume Malcolm is inevitable.

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

Pleasant surprise we have here today. I thought were we're getting a big D2C with all the iconic scenes so this is a shock. Though If I'm being honest I think the D2C would have been awesome. The Raptor set is Magnificent. Great price and a great build. I love how they were able to combine both the lab and the kitchen. Not only that but there you also get 4 of the main characters in one set. The figures need no introduction, there incredible. The Dilophosaur set look good too. Cage builds are nice so this I stood, but out of the cage builds we have gotten so far I think this is the worst, no uniqueness to it and it does not look like it closes, and the set is too expensive, personal I would get the new Fallen Kingdom cage over this one. Speaking of which I now have to decide if I want to get the original JP raptor set or the FK cage. Any suggestions?

Gravatar
By in United States,

So... what's up with the prices? My goodness. The old JP set is decent, but the rest. Yikes. There is no way LEGO sales will be any better this year than last.

I hear a lot of people telling LEGO to think again about their prices. Maybe its us, the buyers who need the reality check. I have had to stop purchasing and it sucks, but what else can I do. If we want LEGO prices to go down, then maybe we have to stop buying them for the ridiculous prices they charge. Social media seems to have turned many into addicted robots who must purchase day 1 so they can be the first to post and get those likes and followers. Snap out of it and maybe, just maybe the prices will come down because the demand wont be there. Why should they lower their prices when plenty still buy. Look at the $800 piece of junk that continues to sell out the moment it comes back in stock.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The prices may be higher than I like--OK, *are* higher than I like--but the baby dinosaur means I'll have to buy the Outpost Attack, and I can't see myself passing up most of the other sets either. Lego dinosaurs are irresistible for me. I'll just have to bricklink enough fence segments to make a complete layout for them...and go on hoping, like so many others, for a new stegosaurus. Or even a triceratops--I came out of my Dark Ages just after those sets went out of stock. Such is life.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I really hope they will create more sets to connect to the JP set so we can create a giant visitor centre!

Gravatar
By in United States,

There is another new Jurassic World set. It's a Truck with a T-Rex that breaks out of the back carrier. 600+ pieces, probably $80ish. Nothing really special.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Love the dinosaurs and the minifig selections. Do NOT like the $40/set price.
