Owing to changes required by Vanilla Forums and difficulty with the registrar of bricksetforum.com, the forum is now at forum.brickset.com.

There is a permanent redirect in place at bricksetforum.com so bookmarks etc. should still work although the DNS changes may not have propagated everywhere yet.

This is a permanent change. Please update your bookmarks.

Is this a temporary or permanent change?

Permanent.

By in Canada,

This change will be a major problem for users who used Facebook to log in. You may be able to link the Facebook app to the new URL, but if not, those users can't log in. Like me.

Edited: Okay I was able to log in using a password reset based on the email address associated with my Facebook account. But that's still less convenient than just using the Facebook login which seems to be broken.

By in United Kingdom,

Sorry, I'll see if I can sort that out.

By in United Kingdom,

I usually log in with my FB account, but it isn't working now.

By in United Kingdom,

I've made some changes that have hopefully got it working again. Let me know...

Didn't work earlier, but happy to report that FB log in works fine now

Good, thanks for confirming.

I hope it works better than the last one. No matter what I did I couldn't actually reply. Thankfully I didn't care too much.

I can’t login with my details from the previous forum. Do we need to register anew with a different password?

By in Germany,

Everything is fine over at my end. Login works, link works. Wouldn't even have noticed the change if you Huw hadn't told us.

And who on Earth uses FB anymore? Anyone I know has quit by now, the last ones after the recent data scandal. Glad I never let myself be pursuaded to join in the first place. What a useless piece of ....
I rather spend my free time building LEGO sets with my kids :-)

^^ No, they should still work.

^^Depends on the generation you're in. Most of my friends are still on Facebook, and it is pretty much a necessity still if you have a small business and want to market it. On top of all that, all the local creative communities that I'm a part of use Facebook groups for their communication, so I'm pretty much forced to use it to keep up with them.

By in Germany,

@Dare_Wreck: thanks for the info. Very different over here. None of the small businesses in our area that I know of have a FB presence, nor would it in any way benefit them I suppose.

I'm not THAT old, but I just never saw any use for it, and still don't. I use email or my mobile phone to communicate, frequent forums like this one for information, and watch YT videos for additional information and entertainment. None of that requires FB. And I don't see any added value in giving FB info about my habits, preferences etc. for them to abuse and bombard me with advertisments. Why anyone is willing to share that much highly personal information with a company that ranks on the lowest scale of trustworthyness is beyond me. People share stuff openly on FB that in former times they wouldn't even have told close friends or family. Strange to say the least.

The company I work with has a FB presence, but the benefits from it so far have been very underwhelming. Perhaps because those in the "generation FB" tend to not be our target audience to begin with ;-)

Anyway, enough OT.

@AustinPowers - I was actually implying that you may be a lot younger than me, since teenagers and young adults are leaving Facebook in droves! :) But yes, enough being off-topic.

Would appear that my ipad keychain was entering the wrong data for some reason. Fixed now.

The sidebar on the main page "In The Forum" which used to have about 5 or so forum articles highlighted along with the link to visit the forum; now only has the link to visit the forum without the highlighted articles.

So it seems. I can't see why though but I'll investigate further, or remove that section if I have no luck.
