12:09 EST, USA not live yet, still just “add to wish list” button (even after VIP login). Come on Lego! I have been waiting my whole life for this set! Paying for overnight shipping upgrade!

Gravatar
By in France,

Still not available here even logged as "VIP". I guess Brickset team is impatient to get its copy! ;) just as all VIP members who will take it day one. After seeing Jang 's review I must say that it' s among the most impressive ones I have seen for a while. Enjoy!

By in Germany,

Doesn‘t seem to be available yet in Germany as of 6:43am.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Its abit expensive for me to buy, however i cant wait to see one on display in either a lego store or descovery centre shop, because it looks incredible..

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

Not yet available in Switzerland

Gravatar
By in France,

toujours pas disponible en france a cette heure (membre VIP)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Not available in UK for VIPs as of 06:50.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Just beaten to it. As usual the day an offer is launched the man at Lego.com that presses the offers button is off ill. Why do they say available 1xth Month when they dont mean midnight, or even 6 am. By the time I get to work (and the sponsor links dont work) im sure it will be available.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Is there a 2nd early VIP set released today?

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

Yeah, I’ve been waiting and nothing yet. I suspect it will be available at 8am CET since that’s the time their customer service phone line opens.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

As of 07:28am not available in the UK even after logging back out and in again with a couple of refreshes. I'll continue checking if and when I can...

Gravatar
By in Italy,

...Sigh.not available in Italy..

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I’m seriously thinking about ordering this later but would rather wait to order when the free lego store set is available

Hmm ?? decisions decisions

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Not yet available in the Netherlands either!

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Not available in NZ

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Still not available in the UK as of 08:10am. I was thinking they would put it up at 8 if not before so this is really frustrating as I now have to go to work - it'll probably be added whilst I drive in!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

And still not available in Germany at 09:15 CET.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

As nice as it is, if I ain’t getting a freebie or double VIP points, it’s staying there.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Just called Customer Service in Germany to inquire and maybe order via phone. They say the set has not been released (by headquarters n Denmark) yet and it is not available also in their system. They hope it will be online in the next 2 hours or so. Apparently somebody really has to show up to work in Denmark and press the button.

They also said there will be enough supply for the demand this time. Hope this is true. Anyway, Lego should really work on their release-processes. Seems to be quite the chaos every time.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I will get mine on friday :) too bad that there is no promotion or polybag that comes with the purchase of the coaster :(

Gravatar
By in Germany,

@schlaftier
Were you able to order? Or do you mean you will order on Friday?

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I ordered in my local LEGO store in Frankfurt

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Did you go there or do they take phone orders? Frankfurt would be my backup plan. It's a 1.5 hr Drive for me, but I will be there anyway on Friday.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

It's available?! Great!!!
*waits for 25% off*

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Latest update says "Coming Soon on null" as of 08:43, so something's changed

Gravatar
By in Germany,

@RSC439: I go there. actually I wanted to pick it up today but as I visit the press screening of SOLO in frankfurt on friday i will pick it up then

Gravatar
By in Australia,

5:55 PM in Australia (AEST), and the page says it was supposed to be released today (16th). Guess the button-presser has come down with something real nasty. Mind you, ATOW it's not May 16th in every time zone yet, but if they wait for the entire world to hit the 16th it'll be nearly the 17th here.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I was just able to order a copy! (from the Netherlands)

Gravatar
By in Germany,

It's available at shop.lego.com as of now in Germany!!

Gravatar
By in Italy,

It's in preorder in Italy and they apply a surcharge for the shipping costs!!

Gravatar
By in Italy,

Now, not available in Italy! A shame...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

UK now says 'Pre-order this item today; it will be in by null' and then the checkout page says free shipping but then adds £3.95. Do I order or wait for them to sort the mess out? Clearly they aren't actually ready for the 16th!

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

It was shortly available to pre-order, but not it is marked as "Not available in your country" !!!

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

@Block-n-Roll, ‘apparently’ it’s not going to be sent to NZ retailers like the Disney Castle wasn’t either...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I just refreshed the page and now it says 'Not available in your country'!!

Gravatar
By in Italy,

Everywhere now seem that roller coaster isn't available... Perhaps it's only for Bangladesh...
In any case, my "pre-order" is gone (the credit card has been drained, even the shipping costs not due). Yet the order does not even appear in the historical order.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

The order now doesn't show up in my order tracker though, and I haven't received a confirmation e-mail. I hope the roller coaster ride will be smoother than the ordering process ;).

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Same here, was able to place a pre-order and payment went through. It does not show up in my order history however.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Managed to place order, during checkout messge stating no express delivery available and technical issues etc.. not to expect any order confirmation email for 24 hours, come on Lego, invest in your IT infrastructure, you have already started to show weaknesses with the UCS MF situation (not talking about the supply issue), and now again, IT systems are burning your most loyal...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

What a mess!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I normally get these sort of sets day one, but at £300 I need some freebies, extra points or discount to sweeten the pot.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I just did an online chat with them.
It is a technical issued it will be sorted later today!

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

I just noticed that the ADD TO BAG button was shown, but when I pressed it an "Sorry! An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again." was displayed.
And now it is again marked as "Coming Soon on null" !

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

On the Swedish site, it can be added to the bag, but the listing says "Pre-order this item today; it will be in by null". Seems weird.

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

And back to "Not available in your country"

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

Same problem here... And now it says "Not available in this country" :-((

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

For a company of this size LEGO should be ashamed and embarrassed by their website it's pathetic. Getting tired of this...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I want a freebie or discount for this monster... and I think I need to see it in real life as it might be just too big. I also need to save up a bit, but that Hogfarts is tempting me, and the whomping willow, and the pirate coaster, and Clod city and...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I managed to order at 9am UK but no email confirmation, Not showing in Order Status plus £3.95 was added delivery charge!!

Gravatar
By in France,

What a mess... It's a shame. Back to 75192, or Saturn... Or even worse. I'm eventually lucky to not want to get this one. Hope all will soon be all right and clear for all of you fans who want to have it. And hope Lego will really try to avoid those recurrent issues with their site! "not available in your country" here also after a time of "available in null" : what does null means? What a bad launch again... And I suppose there are not thousands of people trying to get it.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Just called Lego customer service again. They said due to massive IT problems most orders that were placed online didn't go through to their system. At least they are not able to find and process many of them (including mine). Apparently they are trying to reconstruct these, but cannot promise that this will be succesful.

It's really a f***ing joke. A 3.4 bn EUR retail company that repeatedly completly botches these moderate product releases. If I were CEO at Lego, I would certainly have fired my IT-group by now.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Was sitting up to midnight danish time, but nothing happened. Woke up at 6am. Still not available....

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

In the UK, still says: "Not available in your country"

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It allowed me to add it to my bag and checkout!
But then I got a call from my credit card company saying they suspected my card was being used fraudulently, and the transaction had been cancelled!!!

I rung Lego and they had no record of the transaction, and said that VIP early access doesn’t start until ‘later on today’

(Not a good shopping experience)

Gravatar
By in United States,

It's not working for me in Iowa at 5:30 a.m. .

Gravatar
By in Austria,

I saw it today in Vienna at the LEGO store and it is HUGE!!!!

Waiting for 2x VIP points on this one.

I want to get two and make a giant coaster.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

What a shambles...

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Swedish site now says "We’re currently experiencing site issues with this item, please bear with us and check back later!"

Think it's time for Lego to fire Nedry.

Gravatar
By in France,

il n'est plus présent sur le site lego shop à cette heure en France.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The US site now says it's "Not Available in Your Country" but still says "Available to LEGO VIPs on May 16th".

Gravatar
By in Germany,

after logining in again as VIP member, in netherlands it now showed and you can check out

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

Now available on the Swiss site... and charging no shipping costs.

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

My order is accepted!!! :-))

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Order gone through in the UK! :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Set is now available in the US store and order has gone through

Gravatar
By in Australia,

What a mess. It's disappeared completely from the Australian site but if I change the region to the USA I can find it, click on it, change the region back to Australia and it becomes available but with a message to say they are experiencing site issues. Hmm... I think I'll wait this one out. Luckily I'm broke right now anyway...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I notice everyone is quick to blame the IT team whenever something goes wrong. Yet no one bats an eye when they fix "massive IT problems" in less than a day. I can assure you that massive IT problems for a company as large as Lego are no small matter. I am sure the IT team's response time was as quick as possible. I'm aware that it doesn't make for an ideal shopping experience, but I think you should all consider how much time they just spent fixing the problem for all of you. That's not reason to complain, but to thank them.

Our impatient society at work.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Confirm UK order accepted at 13.33

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I would argue there are two sides to the issue:

1) Lego produces a number of sets that can reasonably expected to be wildly popular, and for many a get-it-ASAP-purchase. Thus, they should expect that the moment the set becomes available many people will rush to buy it, placing a heavy burden on the site.

2) To what extent is it reasonable to expect Lego (or any company) to build a system that is suited to deal with extreme peak demand, once or twice a year, and only having to deal with 25% of peak demand or so for the other 363 days of the year.

Of course, Lego should make sure (and clear) that they have the set available at a known time (say 8 am CET) world wide. And make sure its online shop reflects that.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I gave up online.
Popped into the Manchester store and picked one up myself. Much quicker and I can start building today!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Working in the Netherlands, just bought one!

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

I could submit my order for 20 minutes and I just received the order confirmation per mail.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

NOW it should work

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Placed order at 9:10 this morning, lucky window (UK) - received confirmation email @ 14:30, and checked online status, the magic "In Warehouse" is shown..

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@DutchFlyer I agree (1) and disagree (2) - Elastic computing (capacity based including peak handling) has been available for decades, especially in commerce use cases, where cloud computing now returns a higher ROI, requiring lower investment comparable to in-house built systems. Every company should be focusing on making the purchase of their products and as easy and pain free as possible. Amazon Echo (Alexa) is not just a fancy new gadget, its an extremely easy to use portal to allow customers to spend with Amazon.

Don't get me wrong, I love lego, as a brand, a company, their ethics, and of course their products, I use them a case study of how to do things the right way in the digital age for a physical products company in my work with my customers. However, loosing focus on ensuring a very smooth easy to buy experience will have a negative impact, which I just don't want for them to go through.. Revenues have been on the decline, and whilst this isn't just an e-commerce problem, adding to it with legacy technology that can't cope isn't helping.. Last time I checked, they don't have a CIO, madness in this age..

Anyway, rant over,

Note: Ranting may have something to do with waiting until 1 min past midnight, then 4:30am, then 6:30am to try and order the latest product I'm in love with... :)

Gravatar
By in France,

nous avons réussi à le commander, après une petite mise a jour du site en français

Gravatar
By in United States,

Whelp, the credit card system is down. Cool.

Edit: Oh it finally worked. Yayy...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

So... after ringing Lego this morning when I had trouble with my order and they said they had no record of the order, and it hadn’t gone through, so I should do it again...
I now have TWO roller coasters in my account purchase history!

So I rang them again and they said that they are both already in their warehouse, so I can’t cancel one.
So two are on the way and I have to send one back when it arrives.

However they compensated me by removing the express delivery charge.
So a bit of a pain, but I’ve ended up happy!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Got mine here online in uk just after 14.30 at last the order went throu yippee

Gravatar
By in United States,

LEGO releases new product every month, yet there are still problems whenever new product and campaigns are rolled out. You'd think this would be something they'd have figured out by now. It's mind-boggling that a site such as this continually has problems on those occasions. It's got to be a bad internal process -- IT is just a scapegoat. You can't tell me that the traffic for sales on a $380 Roller Coaster is a burden to this site. Nothing like you'd see for "Force Friday" or "May the 4th" anyway. There is some fundamental issue...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Everyone here is complaining about the struggle with getting a Roller Coaster on Day One of VIP release, and I'm over here struggling to find where that second VIP early release set is...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Does anyone have a guess when double or triple points might be back? May be worth waiting for that in something this expensive.

Gravatar
By in Indonesia,

EVERYONE ABOARD THE VIP TRAIN

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I'm thinking about getting an "in by null" tattoo.

Edit: Maybe with "not available in your country" on the other cheek.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Isn’t there supposed to be two VIP exclusive sets? I don’t have enough money for the coaster and was hoping the other one would be good. The May store Calendar even says there should be two, but they don’t show up on the website. So weird.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The other one -- probably the Bugatti -- was pushed back for some reason.
