Printed Brickset 1x8s available again

Posted by ,

We've found a new supplier for our printed 1x8 bricks and you can now order them from Fab-Bricks for £2.50 each.

They are ideal to show your affiliation to the site when at LEGO events: simply add them to your stack of name and event bricks and wear it proudly on your chest!

These bricks are brilliant to show one's affiliation for the site. It's also pretty neat, considering the recent post of some neat tricks here. Might want this brick, but not sure what to use it for. Anyways, not a bad brick for certain.

^ You could build a brick-and-mortar model of the site!

Just bought mine! Looking forward to sporting mine around at the next convention.

I've always wanted to build my own nameplate to wear. This would be a great base for it.
Does anyone know or a site to show how to make one and how to attach to clothing?
Much appreciated.

@ra226: That's a very good point. Sometimes you have to think outside the box. Like really outside the box.

I just bought mine. I'll be including it in my nameplate that I've been meaning to build anyway. Thanks, Brickset!

@legoDad42 my thinking was to glue a pin that you can get from any arts&crafts store and gluing it to the back of the nameplate. Or if you want to get fancy, they make magnetized ones as well. I will probably glue all the bricks together in the nameplate too so it doesn't fall apart.

It's neat. However at this time I'll have to pass. More for everyone else!

Is it available in the U.S.? If so, how much does it cost USD?

Thx @Gimbal_Lockd
I appreciate the tips. I didn't think of a magnet. That'll work and no pin holes in the shirt.
Right and glue all the bricks.
Many thanks!

We wear ours with magnets too. Best to use a magnet glued or taped to the Lego and a small steel plate inside the clothing. Two magnets together can chip while a piece of steel is easy to replace if lost. Some custom brick makers sell magnet bricks with the plates or you can find the components at a craft store.

I think I actually bought a slightly larger version from a show where the Brickset team had a stand a couple of years ago - and display it pride of place at home too. I hope we'll be able to get some T-Shirts again soon as well perhaps.

@AddictedToStyrene
I'll look for those magnet bricks.
Never did a brick nameplate so this all helps.
Thx so much.

Any chance of the logo getting printed on tiles?

@That_guy8 I had the same question.

It could also work for, like, minifig-scaled billboards or stuff too.

Ordered one. The sign that i have using a magnet to stick it to the shirt or jacket. Having magnet on the sign and a metal plate on the inside of the shirt.
Having a few event bricks now, so some is standing at the layout.

I bought one and will add it to my brick badge, I use this site a lot for set release news and to manage my personal collection. It is a wonderful resource and pleasure to support. MTFBWY.
