LEGO Jurassic World will continue in 2019!

Posted by ,

Universal has confirmed that the LEGO Jurassic World range will continue in 2019. Of course, the next film in the series will not be released until 2021 so it seems likely that LEGO might take this opportunity to produce some more sets based upon the earlier movies.

Furthermore, a short LEGO Jurassic World animated film will be released towards the end of this year.

Which other scenes, characters and dinosaurs would you like to see in future Jurassic World, or Jurassic Park, sets? Let us know in the comments.

By in Australia,

I want to see a set depicting one of the Lego House dinosaurs, 1:1. You thought the MilF (Millennium Falcon) was big? Wait til you say the DiLF (Dinosaur Life Form)!

By in Bulgaria,

Fingers crossed for Triceratops and Ankylosaurus sets.

By in Netherlands,

The Jeep from the first movie is an obvious choice. Triceratop encounter, t-rex with jungle explorer vehicle. Lost world capture vehicle with pachy. Anything original movie is an instant buy for me!

By in Australia,

Triceratops this time please!

— Jurassic Park Theatre Ride with a Mr DNA figure and some eggs with ‘hatch printing’
— Thirsty T-Rex Attack with a scared family and empty doghouse

By in United States,

Let's face it.The only movie that doesn't have a set based on it yet would be The Lost World, therefore it would seem like an obvious choice for an upcoming set to be based on.

By in United States,

It has been leaked that there will be three sets along with a D2C. My guess is a D2C Visitor Center with Alan, Ellie, Ian, Hammond, Tim, Lex, Lawyer Guy, Velociraptor, and tour vehicle. A set with a JP jeep and dilophosaur with Nedry and Muldoon. A JP2 set with a Trex, explorer campervan, Ian, Eddy, Nick, Ian's Daughter, explorer girl, and baby trex. A JP3 set with spino, plane, tree, Grant, that one guy, and "bad idea" girl with rest of her family. I think Lego would do this because if you wanted the Visitor Center, you need to also buy the Jp2 set for the Trex. If you buy the Jp3 set, you have to buy the Jp2 set for the trex as well, so that way people would have to spend a lot of money to get entire scenes.

By in Ireland,

The sets “based on” JPIII were forgettable. Then again, so was the movie...

By in United States,

Fingers crossed for a LEGO Jurassic World 2 video game!

By in United States,

I hope the D2C is Jurassic Park based, and I hope we see some more new dinosaur molds. I’d love a brachiosaurus in the D2C and I also really want to get a stegosaurus, mosasaurus, and spinosaurus, but I highly doubt they’ll make more than one or two new species (if they even make new species).

By in United Kingdom,

I'd like to see the jungle explorer 4x4, Denis Nedri, s jeep with a dilophosaurus,
Also the brontosaurus with tim and lex feeding him from the tree would be a good set, Ellie satler and the triceratops too,
Maybe the Exhibition centre with T-Rex and Raptors battling it out.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is there any hope for a set with Malcom after the Bricktober exclusive figure?

Gravatar
By in United Arab Emirates,

Classic lime green Jurassic park tourist wagon
T rex pen scene
Brachiosaurus
Brontosaurus
Stegosaurus

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I really had to be a stickler for facts, but Brontosaurus has never appeared in a Jurassic Park or World movie.
The saurapod from JP1/JP3 /JW2 is a Brachiasaurus, JP2 is a Mamenchiasarus, JW is an Apatasaurus.

And before anyone says Apatasaurus=Brontosaurus, not anymore a new sub-species was discovered which has been called Brontosarurus.

By in Germany,

Any set based on Jurassic Park, the original movie, will get my vote.
Not interested in any of the follow-ups.

Gravatar
By in United States,

-Lost World Capture Scene: Parasolophus with capture vehicle;
-Apatasaurous (formally Brontosaurus) herd: One adult Apa with a baby and a nest facing off an Allosaurous;
-Ankylosaurous Capture: One Ankylo adult with a child facing off capture bikers;
-Triceratops Rampage: Trice adult and child breaking out of containment;
-Mossasaurous Escape: a Helicopter, submarine and the Mosa.

By in Germany,

Thinking about possible sets I passed the memories of JP3 in my mind, and it's all back. The casting, acting, story, script. This was done with no heart and doesn't deserve (another) set. Please don't.

Gravatar
By in France,

please please please a set with a mighty stegosaurus!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I've written out two or three solid waves of sets based on what I'd like to see.

The really, really tricky thing is that the Ford Explorer and Jeep from JP1 are both part of MULTIPLE iconic scenes and it's highly unlikely LEGO would release either more than once, so it would be interesting to see exactly which scenes they chose. In the Jeep's example - the Triceratops Encounter, the T-Rex Chase or the Dilophosaurus Paddock, for example? I'd favor the first one, but the second probably has the most casual appeal. All that said, I hope if we get another Rex set, it has a bull.

Would love to see a Spinosaurus; JP3 isn't a fantastic film but they're a fascinating species and if the spine is molded separately, the mold could be re-used for Baryonyx down the line.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Jeeps for sure. And preferably, a slightly larger format, licensed Unimog.

Gravatar
By in Bulgaria,

Please sets with:
Brontosaurus
Triceratops
Ankylosaurus
and some more new dinosaur molds.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I seem to have the rare opinion that JP3 was awesome. I am happy that it will be continuing as I love the dinosaurs in the sets.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

If we don't get a visitor's center or a jeep from the original film, I'm going to cry.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The random set of a couple days ago inspired me to want an anklyosouris.

Also a brontosaurus.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'd love to see a JP3 set or two, with the Spino of course (perhaps a set based on the duel between it and the Rex). But a Lost World set based on the dino-roundup or the San Diego incident could be quite amazing as well. But, to be honest, the set we need most of all, is one based on the Brachi scene in Fallen Kingdom.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Well, spent twenty minutes typing out what I'd like to see, site decided to eat it instead of posting it. Anything more is fair game and would be greatly appreciated at this point.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

Game gave us designs for +20 new dinos.
I want a set with triceratops + baby and set with Brachio

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Odeinoichus, that's why I always copy my comments before I post them. Learned the hard way :) I'd love to see the Ankylosaurus as mentioned above, it was always my favorite dino as a child as I connected w/its' small but scrappy nature. Triceratops and others mentioned above would also be great. But the main thing for me is this; I mostly want the dinosaurs, and not so much want the overpriced sets that accompany them. So if LEGO produced several smaller sets w/a couple Minifigures, a great dino as mentioned above, and a small build as metioned above for 20.00-30.00 I would be a happy, and very broke, camper.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Still waiting for Lego to make a Stegosaurus.

Hello?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

@LegoSolo77 I know, the thing is usually the message doesn't vanish and if it refuses to post I can just try again. This time the thing went blank and nothing happened, I was understandably perturbed.

Gravatar
By in United States,

So many great ideas here. After a Nerdy Jeep encounter set, visitor center and the original explorer I would love to see the big mobile RV lab!

and @AgentR2 there's a rumor that the brictober sets for this year will be available on the Lego shop at home site through Nov and Dec. Not sure if there's any validity to that but I am staying hopeful.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I just want a set that has the original giant gate that opens into Jurrasic Park and an OG Jeep or two. Also, I wouldn't mind having a recreation of the dream sequence scene where the Raptor says "Allen."

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I want a set with an egg piece in translucent yellow/orange with a mosquito printed on it. the egg pieces is the closes thing we'd have to a piece of amber that could have a print on it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@shaase I'd say that the little bulb pieces (such as part 4497943: Couple W. 3.2 Stick) in an amber color would work far better than the egg pieces.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Shaase: there is already a piece like this in The Indominois Red Breakout and Dr Wu polybag.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm just glad TLG has decided to continue the JP/JW line. My boys love dinos and the throwback JP set brings back a bit of nostalgia. I'm just hoping TLG works on better set pricing but I know deep down that's highly doubtful.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Definitely more herbivores. There are so many carnivores already, lets add a few other species. Would love to see a sauropod of some kind (apatosaurus, brachiosaurus).

Gravatar
By in United States,

The velociraptor on the plane that talks in JP3...”Alan...”

Seriously, the scene in the first movie with the Trex and the jeeps, breaking out of its pen is a no brainer. Nedry fleeing and getting caught if the Dilophisaurus, and a more detailed control center would be cool.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Brontosaurus doesn't exist. It is APATOSAURUS!!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

@daftarcher20968
That comment is so 2015 (or whatever year they decided to reinstate the Brontosaurus) ;-) and LEGO doesnt care, we got a Stygimoloch etc ;-)

But on a serious note, a few years back there were great JP sets on ideas, mainly brick built dinosaurs. I'd love a 2000+ element buildable T-Rex

Gravatar
By in United States,

@daftarcher20968: None of the Jurassic Park/Jurassic World dinosaurs are pure dinosaurs, that being said why wouldn't the Brontosaurus be able exist within the fiction?

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I can't be the only persosn who wants an updated Stegosaurus figure. It's been twenty years since Adventurers Dino Island, let's get on this.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

A set with a bit of dock, the getaway car and a T-Rex from The Lost World seems likely. But there are tonnes more classic sets to consider. A 'proper' spinosaurus would be good too though. We could still have various species and scenes from Jurassic World (1), such as some nice action-filled scenes when all hell breaks loose in the main visitor areas.

There's so much they could do!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Guess I can chime back in and mention that I was hoping for some sets based around the Tell Tale game, especially if we could get a set with the Roller Coaster scene and some Herrasaurs, the Rescue Team with some Troodons and Doctor Sorkin's research facility.

Gravatar
By in United States,

- Classic Jurassic Park archway with T-rex, fence breakout, tour car and outhouse
- Dilophosaurus and Nedry's Jeep with sign and small tree
- Raptor pen with feed crane and observation tower
- Visitor center with Brachiosaurus, Jeep and Helicopter

Lost World and JPIII sets would also be welcome!
- Triceratops with poacher vehicle/camp
- Mobile Lab RV with mommy rex and baby
- Spinosaurus and river boat
- Pteranodon cage

Also, where's our Mosasaurus?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I've heard from several other sources that there will be 3 sets, perhaps one from each of the first 3 movies. If this is the case then I imagine they will be in order of movie appearance...
1. Visitor's Center
2. T-rex Capture or Rampage
3. Spinosaurus Attacking the Airplane
Now I do hope they will continue to release more waves of sets and eventually cover all of the dinosaurs, vehicles and characters from every movie.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Jurassic Park Helicopter.

The Bush Devil Tracker Jeep.

And the legendary Jurassic Park Ford Explorer.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

the velociraptor cage from the first film could be a good one. you could go for the scene where a poor cow is lowered in and instantly devoured and have a break-out/escape feature for when they inadvertently shut down the electric fence

Gravatar
By in Australia,

T-Rex feeding scene so we can get a goat for less than 40 bucks....

Gravatar
By in United States,

I would like to see an Aklyosaurous, a Dimetrodon, a Tricerotops, and a set or two that had a few baby Raptors in them in different colors (browns, blacks, dark reds), and a Brontosaurus would be great.

It would be AWESOME to see a UCS SET OF JURASSIC WORLD with about 10 to 15 minifigs, 6 land dinosaurs, 2 or 3 flying dinosaurs, and some baby Raptors (4 in different colors)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I would like a Visitor Center model from the first film. I say make it around $300 and include a ton of Dinosaurs. Persaonally gonna suggest T-Rex, Raptor, Triceratops, Brachiosaurus, Dilophosaurus, and Gallimimus. Go for the Dinosaurs most prominent in the first film. Make the build around $200 in size, the use the next $100 for all the Dinosaurs.
Edit: If they go for Jurassic World era sets again, the Mosasaur arena would be great.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It doesn’t matter as long as I can find the sets for 20%+ off. Too expensive otherwise.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'd love to see the jeep from the first film and the train/bus thing from the second. An updated Spinosaurus would be nice too, along side a non Bricktober release of Ian Malcom.

Gravatar
By in United States,

More herbivores:
Apatosaurus
Brachiosaurus
Stegosaurus

Gravatar
By in Canada,

So long as we finally get an ankylosaurus, I don't care what else they do. I've been waiting for one since I was a kid!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I want that giant water thing from Jurassic World, the one that grabs a full-size great white shark in a single bite.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Brachiosaurus and Triceratops would be nice.

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

The classic Jurassic Park tour car with Grant and the kids. Even Owen and Blue reunited with each other with the wrecked Jurassic Park tour car.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Visitor Center seems like a no brainer.
Other than that, the two jeeps (automatic and manual), and the convoy vehicles from TLW would be nice, alongside the JP3 plane and boat.

Minifigs we need are John Hammond, Robert Muldoon, Dennis Nedry, and Donald Gennaro from the first movie, Ludlow, Sarah, and Roland Tembo from TLW, and everyone from JP3.

Dinos I'd love to see are Gallimimus (an actual Gallimimus mold), Parasaurolophus, and Ankylosaurus. Spinosaurus also seems like a no brainer, as well as the male Velociraptors from JP3.
