The upcoming Overwatch sets have now been unveiled, confirming that twelve different characters will feature in the first wave. Many more heroes therefore have yet to appear in minifigure form, including some of the most popular members of both Overwatch and the evil Talon.

On that basis, our question for Brickset readers is: which Overwatch character would you most like to see in minifigure form next? Cast your vote after the break...

Clicking on the name of each character will take you to their respective page on the Overwatch website.

Which Overwatch hero should appear in minifigure form next?

Let us know who you voted for in the comments.

Brigitte, preferably with a minifig scale armoured Reinhardt.
While I'm not a particular fan of the character, it would certainly be interesting to what they'd design for Hammond.

I think Lucio would be neat with new legs similar to the saytr from that CMF. His gun is also basic so they wouldnt mess it up like widows sniper

By in France,

Well, the current roster is lack of support heroes, so I'd go something from that role..
As Osteele98 mentioned Lució is a safe pick because it would be simple but this is why I wouldn't be hyped of him. Same goes for Moira imho..
A Zenyatta or Brigitte would be a perfect "okay, what can LEGO do to give back the essence of the hero" candidate and I would live to have a little omnic monk! :)

While not an Overwatch fan, I'm a fan of mechs, so I'd have to vote for Wrecking Ball.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Mei is absolutely adorable, so gotta go with her. Also, give us a brick-built Snowball, please, LEGO! Wrecking Ball would indeed be cool, too.

And we already have Brigitte. If I remember correctly, she was one of the main characters in Nexo Knights... ;-)

Man. Is the cancellation of the theme an option in this poll? I feel like my feelings are excluded. Just kidding. But I Didn't think Lego could ever drift so far...

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I have no clue who those are. I voted for the name that looks the most out of place.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Wrecking Ball, the hamster with a mech

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I went with Zenyatta. I’ve no idea what Overwatch is, having never played it, but I’m a Police fan...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Mei, Bridgette, Lucio, Roadhog, and Wrecking Ball.

By in United Kingdom,

I have a feeling we're likely to see them finish off the original lineup of 21 heroes before they move on to the 7+ additional ones that have been added since launch. That said, I'm not sure how they'd manage Bastion at minifigure scale. Both sets we've seen of him have him as a relatively large, certainly not minifigure scale, mech. How could they shrink him realistically to fit in with the rest of Overwatch?
Junkrat & Roadhog I reckon will get a set together. I'd like to see Zen get a figure as he's one of my mains in-game.

By in Japan,

Mei and Snowball would be the only reason to make me buy a Overwatch set

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Strictly as a minifigure I'd say Mei, but Wrecking Ball/Hammond would make for an amazing LEGO set.

Gravatar
By in Russian Federation,

I think that Junk Rat can provide some interesting set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Maybe a minifig series?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Sombra, hope she comes in a factory/high tech office setting.

By in Canada,

300+ responses and no love for Zarya? She was right. The humans who live here are indeed fools for trusting the Omnics.

275 hours on her and I'm not at all surprised that she wasn't in the first wave.

Still completely in the dark Re: Overwatch, but I can see myself buying a couple of these sets. I'm really digging Dorado Showdown, especially the truck - although the hover car thrusters will have to go.

Gravatar
By in United States,

There are to many to choose from in this list. I wanted to choose multiple. I choose Zenyatta 'cause we need more omnic representation. Although I would also love: minifig scale Bastion, Junkrat, Roadhog, Doomfist, and Sombra.

By in United States,

I've never played this game and have no wish to. All I know of it is that Matt Mercer does the voice of a cowboy character and there is, apparently, a gorilla of some sort. So, I'd like to vote for more Doctor Who sets.

If not, I guess I'll vote for the monkey.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Add Reinhardt to the poll

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm a bit lost. Is this where I come to vote for 10228 Haunted House?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I have no idea what over watch is, so I just picked doom fist cause it sounded like a cool name.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

Zenyatta and Thorbjorn, with a buildable turret, obviously!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

A series I don't have to worry about saving up for.

Now, if they do WarCraft or StarCraft, I'm in trouble.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I want to see a Tali'Zorah nar Rayya. Oh and Miranda Lawson. :D

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'd love to see a Roadhog bigfig.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wrecking Ball, obviously!

By in United States,

I’m always baffled by the way so many people respond the same way to licenses of just about any brand less than 20 years old… not the lack of knowledge/familiarity itself, since LEGO makes plenty of stuff that even I’m unfamiliar with beforehand, from supervillains and superheroes I’ve never heard of to real-life stuff in City or Technic sets that I’ve never encountered to Disney Junior shows that are more likely than not aimed at kids who are 20 to 24 years younger than me.

Rather, what surprises me is the bizarre sense of pride and confidence in not making any meaningful attempt to investigate further. We live in a world where practically anything, especially pop culture references, are a few keystrokes and a click away! How then is anyone’s first reaction to something confusing or unfamiliar that “making even a cursory effort to understand this isn’t worth my time! Better to make a post advertising my lack of awareness of recent pop culture or curiosity about other people’s interests.”

Anyway hard for me to pick but my higher priority choices would be female characters who were in the game at launch (Mei, Zarya, and Symmetra).

Gravatar
By in United States,

Um... all of them?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Need more of Talon than just Widowmaker and Reaper (x2). Went with Doomfist just because I want to know if they’d give him a new gauntlet piece or just use the existing “big fist” pieces

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Hey! An old truck! And a building. Looks like I'll be getting that set. I haven't the foggiest idea about what Overwatch is let alone characters. Great truck though. Shame it hasn't got wheels.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Brickchap. Well that's the miracle of Lego. You can customise the things you buy. That truck with no wheels, can become a truck with wheels if you have the pieces.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I Count 14 heroes, not 12.

The sets and minifigs look better than expected.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Dyeriko - Reaper appears twice and the Shimada Castle Guard is not a hero, hence a total of twelve rather than fourteen.

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

I'm surprised Mei wasn't released. She'd so easy to do: Mr. Freeze style gun, the ice pieces covering her body and a BB-8 head for Snowball.

Also, Sombra would be a better Talon addition instead of a second Reaper.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Somnium: I suspect she and a lot of the other heroes (at least the rest of those who were in the game when it first launched) are being saved for the summer wave.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Why is Bastion a part of the poll? He got a set so I’m confused XD

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'd love to see Mei, Junkrat, Orisa, and a minifig scale Bastion sometime soon. They gotta finish the original lineup of course!

@Master of Lightning the two Bastion sets are upscaled action figures of the character, kinda like those old Knights Kingdom figures. An acurately scaled minifig would be about halfway between a normal fig height and Reinhardt's suit. (Although Reinhardt's suit itself seems oversized in the sets so he may still be off.)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Current line up is lacking supports and Talon characters... so the natural answer is Doom Fist!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hello, what about Mario

K'nex hasn't made anything in a long time, I just need my nintendo in more capable hands

Lego Video Games:
Overwatch, Minecraft, Sonic, Portal

Gravatar
By in United States,

ALL OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Aanchir, I don't want to start a whole discussion thread here, but just want to point out that taking the time (even if brief) to investigate requires a (however small) amount of interest. I have no interest in Overwatch, or in gaming in this point of my life. My dust covered PS4 hasn't been played w/in about two years, non-coincidentally about the same time our last baby was born lol. I am VERY interested in LEGO, however, and can see great appeal in some of these sets. Interesting builds and unique Minifigure parts? Yes please! I hope my comment didn't come off sounding as a boast of my ignorance; as a lack of knowledge is not something to be proud of (a disturbing modern trend), rather something I'm indifferent to. At some point my LEGO purchases may compel me to further investigate the content of what I've bought, and may then watch of bit of Overwatch related content. I've come to do the same w/Harry Potter, which is something I had no original interest in. However, after owning several HP LEGO sets my curiosity was piqued to learn a bit more about what I owned. Anyways, didn't mean for this to drag on. Have a great day and take care sir!

By in United States,

@LegoSolo77: Fair enough! I'll be honest, it's probably been even longer since I've bought/played any video games (besides mobile games or joining in on multiplayer games when friends and family are playing them). I basically stopped feeling like I was getting my money's worth in enjoyment from new games/consoles six years or so ago, since some of my favorite game series like Pok´´´emon were beginning to feel like a bit of a chore on top of my regular responsibilities as an adult and a college student, what with all the emphasis on team planning, strategy, and filling out a collection. Not to mention how much easier it is to manage one expensive hobby (LEGO) than two (LEGO and video games)!

In my case my awareness of Overwatch has come mostly from having a lot of friends who are into it or into following and sharing general video game industry news. Being able to understand what my friends are talking about can be a great incentive even if it's not something I personally have much interest in.

That said, I am very much in the habit of looking up stuff in LEGO sets, TV shows, and movies I feel like I'd appreciate more context for, even if it's not stuff I'm interested in investing a lot of time, money, or energy into. After watching a movie adapted from other media, for example, I like to go on Wikipedia and read a bit about how the characters and stories differ from how they were presented in the books/comics/video games that inspired them. And likewise, when new LEGO sets are announced, it's fun to look up stuff on Wikipedia or elsewhere so I can get a better sense of who Super-Adaptoid is, or which incarnation of a character a licensed minifigure might be based on, or whether a particular Ninjago weapon has any real-world historical equivalent, or what sort of vehicles some of the new LEGO City Arctic sets might have been inspired by, or whether the changes to LEGO Star Wars sets since the versions i grew up enjoying are an increase or decrease in accuracy.

Of course, I don't have kids, which I can imagine are an even bigger and more time-consuming responsibility than any of the ones I struggle with (but certainly a worthwhile one)! So I don't blame you for being more judicious with your use of time!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Having investigated Overwatch while killing time at work, i have decided that Wreaking Ball would be the most interesting new set. That and the black limousine the hamster keeps running over in the video shorts I have seen of him in action.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I have no idea what Overwatch is.

^ As @NoPatricioNo on Twitter put it:

"Humans made robots and treated them like slaves. The robots declared war on humans. A task force was formed to fight the robots, but then it was dissolved. Several years later, that task force has reappeared and now all they do is play Capture The Flag. Now you’re an expert."

Of course, though, that's just the basics. I highly suggest diving into the lore a little bit. The animated shorts so far ( https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAYFVhxsaqDuOh4Ic5mRu5CiZVKCMVv66 ) are fantastic. Be sure to watch in backwards order, though - or else, it doesn't make any sense!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@BrickBob09 Reinhardt is minifigure scale already, his suit just looks a little big.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

i think a junkertown should be made with junkrat and roadhog or maybe a minifig series. Also what is it with the weird guns that look nothing like the guns in-game

Gravatar
By in United States,

@dylan odds: Mark Stafford said on Reddit that the budget for new molds mostly went toward things like hair and headgear that are more essential to the characters’ appearance so they could maximize the number of characters available in the theme’s first year. More specific gun molds like in Star Wars might have meant fewer characters.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Junkrat or Mei. They both also have fantastic locations to utilise, and a large scale Mei with Snowball would be so cool.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Aanchir: so why not use star wars guns for other themes since they already have the mold?
