Happy Hallowe'en!

LEGO produces Seasonal sets for numerous important holidays during the year, including Hallowe'en. The sets sold at shop.LEGO.com and in brand stores vary between brick-built models of some creepy characters and small vignettes, depicting scenes from the holiday.

The popularity of these sets seems to shift quite dramatically from one year to the next so today we are asking Brickset readers: What is your favourite Hallowe'en Seasonal set released during the last five years?

Submit your vote after the break...

Which Hallowe'en set is your favourite?

40090 Halloween Bat
40122 Trick or Treat Halloween
40203 Vampire and Bat
40260 Halloween Haunt
40272 BrickHeadz Witch

Halloween Haunt for the forced perspective, although the Trick or Treat vingette was a close second

Actually my favourite Hallowe'en set is the vampire-like 40135 Angler Fish, a very unique set. From the above list, I voted for Trick or Treat. I love the tombstone with a bone. The forced perspective of the Haunt doesn't quite work for me.

@Rogue1 - almost exactly my thought. In my case the deal-breaker was the pumpkin in Halloween Haunt.

I chose halloween haunt as well, cause it has some useful parts. Sad to see the brickheadz witch with so low a score though, it's not that bad a set.

I went with the Trick Or Treat. While I'm the bat has a soft spot since it was the first seasonal set I got, I loved the Trick or Treat set; I'm also partial to vignettes. I'm not a Brickheadz person; the only ones I have are the two Iron Mans and the Boba Fett/Han In Carbonite NYCC. The Vampire and Bat are scary for a whole different reason, and I agree about the forced perspective not quite working in last year's Halloween Haunt, though I love the concept.

The last five years...conveniently excludes the whole Monster Hunters line, which would have won easily.

Brickheadz do nothing for me, and the brick-built figures much less, so it had to be one of the vignettes. Decided to go with Trick or Treat, coz it's such a cute and cohesive little scene.

^ Monster Hunters sets do not fall into the category of Seasonal Sets.

I had to choose Halloween Haunt as it ticks all the boxes for me; fun little build, great parts, cool Minifigures, looks nice on display, and it was a very good value. Trick or Treat Halloween definately comes in second as it looks like a fun little set as well. I'm hoping to soon have it in hand and off my Wanted List :)

It's not an actual seasonal set, but the Monster Fighter's Haunted House does duty for all my spoopy needs.

Vignettes are hands down the best of the offerings. I chose Trick or Treat Halloween but the other one is good as well.

It would be nice if LEGO offered up some larger Halloween themed sets at some point.

3731: Pumpkin Pack!
Lots of orange! And you can design lots of pumpkin faces of your own with it too.

Of those listed though, I do like the bat. He's cute.

I loved Halloween Haunt but I think the Halloween Bat is very cute. Though that might not be the reaction one would be hoping for in a Halloween set.

Obviously the scariest Halloween sets are the unikitty ones.

Halloween Haunt clear choice for me; my son and I flip-flopped building that and the Trick or Treat vignette last year and this year. Along with the Monster Hunter sets / minifigures I also bring out the Scooby Doo sets for Halloween.

Where is 40055 Halloween Pumpkin? That has to be my favorite Halloween set. From the list I ended up choosing 40272 Brickheadz Witch. 40122 Trick or Treat Halloween and 40090 Halloween Bat were close seconds.

Voted for the Halloween Haunt too, like people say, a nice diorama with a 'forced' perspective and some neat pieces but I really like the 850487 Halloween Accessory set...some great figs to have and foliage pieces plus a nicely constructed small grave.

Using the proper spelling, I see.

Clearly 40260. Would love to have that set. Really like the pumpkin, it’s so amazing.

Bat.

40260 Halloween Haunt. The castle in the background always makes me think of Castlevania.. probably the key reason I bought it. And the pumpkin. Definitely.

By in United States,

Halloween Haunt because it has great pieces and is very Halloweenish :) Also, I feel the Brick Headz are getting out of control. I have decided to stop buying them, since I can't remember which ones I have already. It took my non-Lego wife a while to even figure out the Witch BrickHeadz.

I completely agree with Joefish above.

Tough to pick but I chose Trick or Treat. I really like that there's a skeleton inside the house, to scare the trick-or-treater! Although I have 40055 Halloween Pumpkin on my desk at work with the Brickheadz Witch (love her purple outfit) & Jack & Sally too.
On my file cabinet I have 9468 Vampyre Castle with LEGO Birthday & TLBM#2 minifigs, lined up in two lines, waiting to get into the castle. Sure makes my office festive!

I would have voted for 850936 Halloween Set ( brickset.com/sets/850936-1/Halloween-Set ) but it isn't on the list. Is Halloween Set not a Halloween set?

{Count voice}One! One confused AFOL! Bwahahahaha!{/Count voice}

Whilst I like many of the elements used in Haunt and a vignette any day of the week, I picked the Bat. It's cute and I recall being keen to get it as soon as I saw a picture of it.

My favourite of all the Halloween seasonals I have collected though is 2012's Witch. Although small, I like that the hat comes off and that you could store a few small sweets inside.

The only Halloween seasonal I have purposely not bought is this year's brickheadz Witch. Something about the combination of colours used, just doesn't work for me. Sorry, but it's an ugly set.

The poll shows my thoughts, Brickheadz and brick-built figures are lame. 75% voted for one of the two vingettes, that should tell Lego something... I generally buy all the holiday vingettes, but this year Lego didn't get my money.

@Brick Dangerous:
Some of the Monster Fighters sets did lean pretty close to being seasonals, even if none of them actually were part of the official LBR seasonal line. There were two polybags of a car and a coffin car, at least one of which was a GWP. Target also had another polybag with a ghost and a grandfather clock, and they only ever stocked it to their Halloween seasonal section.

Trick or treat is the only one I have but I looked at the others and still voted for it. I really prefer vignettes to the brick built bats and vampires so this is 2 years without buying a Halloween set.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Definitely not sending a vote towards the Brickhead. I picked 40260 like a lot of other people. The little seasonal vignettes in 2017 ... and 2015 as well, actually ... were just really cute, lovely little sets.

Much as I like vignettes in general, neither of the Hallowe'en ones really appeals to me, and I ended up voting for Vampire and Bat! I'm not sure why it gets so little love--it works perfectly as a seasonal decoration, with just the right amount of sinister feeling.
