LEGO FORMA was announced in September and the campaign now has just a few days left to run. Limited quantities of each product remain available so I would recommend backing it soon, if you are planning to do so.

You can find our more about LEGO FORMA here.

They have changed the numbers that were available. Is this to make it appear more successful?

Wait, is this stuff meant to be shipped to the U.S. only?

Seems like this was [is] a fail. Not a lot of enthusiasm and a muddled message from Lego about what this product is and does.

Sad this only ships to the US and UK. Would've been nice for my aquarium to hold some fish at last.

It’s reached 1,200% funding so I’d say there’s both enthusiasm and success.

I've been waiting to support it since I was thinking about getting the super box, but I'm disappointed they changed the Splash Koi skin. I liked the main body being green and the pink and extra yellow isn't as appealing. However, this product is so strange and interesting I think I'll still get the super box. Who knows when Lego will do something like this again?

The website suggests no one in the UK has claimed the Ink Koi skin Add-On as 0 of 15 have been claimed. If they do make it available whoever orders it is going to get one of the rarest sets ever. Although I somewhat expect that the Super Box will just contain the same Ink Koi skin in the same packaging so may be not. I wonder how many people have ordered a skin without a frame to mount it on?

I was on the fence to order one of these "as a collector" (ie, to sell it 10 years from now when it's super rare)... but I just could bring myself to do it. In my heart, I still believe Lego was meant to be played with and these just don't look all that fun to play with.

I did not think that these would sell well in the general Lego market as they ignore the vast majority of potential buyers with the concept of build and display, while time to time changing the skins. What would you do with the skins you weren't using? They would be wasted, as there is no other possible use for them, unless one of you geniuses out there has discovered another use for them, which in that case I would be happy to hear of it.

@CCC:
That is weird. It used to show how many were up for grabs in each group, and how many had been claimed of that amount. There are still a couple listed that way, but the numbers are _WAAAAAY_ down from the hundreds and thousands that were listed before, and other kits only show how many are left. The total number of sets claimed is also about 1/3 of the 20k that I remember being cited early on. But that number counts a skin pack as being equal to a Koi set as being equal to a Super Box, so you can save money by buying a Super Box that counts as one item claimed, or you can pay a bit more to buy the exact same stuff as a Koi and three skin packs that count as four items, so really they could have met their goal with just the skin packs. I think there were enough Shark skins listed early on that they could have hit something like 300% of their goal without selling anything involving Koi.

And for people who are only interested in the pins, or who are fretting because they want to build all four fish at the same time without having to buy three extra Koi sets, it appears that the skin packs all include a full set of the new Forma pins in addition to the actual skin. Just Bricklink the loose parts needed to build three more frames, and you should be good to go.

Just paid for the Koi and a shark skin. Shark is my fave

I spent ages deciding whether or not to get one. Loved the idea, but they were expensive. In the end, I got just the basic Koi with no add-on skins. I'd love the shark skin, though, but the price of the skins is so high!

@EstragonHelmer:
I believe they mention somewhere that the skins aren't just skins. They include a full set of the new Forma-exclusive skin-pins, so you could actually just buy skin packs and accumulate all the regular Technic parts on your own.

I think it's a fine idea and good looking kit.
