By in Sweden,

And Sweden is left out again... the fact that Denmark doesn't have all good offers is also a bit strange, since it's where Lego is from, It would have been more logic if they had all great offers and campaigns. IMO. But of course, these other countries are probably bigger markets for TLG.

By in Switzerland,

I'm happy for all those who get the chance to participate, and not upset that I can't.

By in United Kingdom,

ODEON Only (UK)? Great if you actually have one... Ours closed years ago.

Not an offer that will make me buy enough for the threshold.

By in Australia,

might be a flop?? hence the free tix??

By in United States,

That's conveniently right before 70840 is released.

By in Germany,

I thought you had to buy TWO sets for 60 Euro or more EACH in order to be able to get the tickets, which then are only valid in certain cinema chains, of which there might not be one near you.

The exact wording on [email protected] is as follows:

"Einfach im Aktionszeitraum (vom 26.12.18 bis 15.01.19) zwei THE LEGO Movie 2™ Produkte im Wert ab 60 EUR kaufen, auf vipexclusiveoffer.com gehen und die vollständigen Teilnahmebedingungen einsehen."

Also, the sets can often be had at other retailers for 20% off or sometimes even more. But let's say it's 20%. 120 Euro times 20% is 24 Euro. That's more than what I pay for two tickets at our local cinema. So in effect, if I was interested in the sets, I could buy them elsewhere, see the movie with a friend, and still pay less than with the "offer".

Pretty lame imho. I rather save my money on the sets and spend it on the cinema tickets and snacks themselves - not necessarily on TLM2 anyway tbh. I didn't see the first one in the cinema, only later on Amazon, and certainly won't see this one. Most follow ups suck anyway, and the trailer didn't wet my appetite enough, neither did the accompanying sets. Might get the Pop-up Party Bus for its quirkyness, and of course got Benny's Squad on day one, but that's about it. And Benny's Squad I didn't get because of TLM2, but because of my love for anything Classic Space.

By in Ireland,

...what side of the bed did you get out of? ;)

Wish this offer was in Ireland, but ah well, it’s good for my wallet, need to stop buying Lego for a while to let it recover.

By in Puerto Rico,

Great, just need $300 to secure my tickets (hope my local theather accepts them) and get not only Emmett House but some last year sets as well.

By in United States,

The amount of work needed to get the tickets is silly. I'll just wait to buy a $70 set when it's 30% off, the same as the tickets.

Also the movie doesn't look anywhere close to how much fun the first one was.

By in United States,

I talked to the guy at my local lego store. He says you have to wait to a certain day to go to a certain website to get the tickets. He said that website even had a possibility of crashing. And some of my theatres around here don’t except passes. So I went with a different promotion.

By in United Kingdom,

How does this work? You gain access to the promotional page 21 days after you bought the sets yet the promotion ends on the 15th of jan? That means only people who bought sets on the 26th of December will be able to take advantage of it?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Fairly certain the "21 days" started on the 26th, and that vipexclusiveoffer.com will open up the redemption process on Jan 16.

I don't think the promotion applies to only those that bought the threshold on the 26th of December.

By in United States,

Don't do this promotion. Fandango made it absolutely confusing and it's a real drag. You'll be better off just buying normal tickets

By in United States,

That sounds like a good deal overall. Spend $60 on Lego movie 2 sets and get up to $30 in a voucher for two tickets. (Sadly the fact that they offer that much for 2 tickets astounds me. No wonder I never go to the theater anymore).

Although like others have said, you can save money by buying the sets in promos elsewhere which they have already been down 20% on most vendor sites.

By in United States,

I ordered the Ninjago City Docks (and a few brickheads that were on discount) about a week ago and got an email claiming I qualified for the promotion, so the exact calculations for what you can buy and when for this might be a bit buggy.

By in Germany,

@Sethro3: again, did you read the rules: you have to buy TWO sets at 60 or more EACH. So 120 for the voucher. Plus the process is so cumbersome and with so many strings attached that I don't see why anyone would bother.

And anyway, why would they do this?
If they believe in the movie and its drawing power, why give tickets away?

No, this sure smells like the ingredients for a major flop.

By in United States,

^ that is actually incorrect. I was there at the lego store, and they explained to me. There is only one set from this theme worth $60 70834 (to my knowledge) so you cannot buy two worth that price. It’s like all the other promotions. Buy $35 for the fire ATV. Buy $60 for the two tickets. But I agree. The process is too complicated. I’m not doing it.

From my limited understanding of the German language, it does seem to indicate what you are saying though. It might be different in other countries or perhaps there was a typo which could explain the discontinuity.

By in Canada,

Available in the Unites Snakes of Arrestobia, but not in Cannabis. I guess LEGO is afraid we will get the munchies halfway through the movie, go get popcorn, and miss some very important LEGO propaganda.

By in Netherlands,

Netherlands misses out too....

By in United States,

I think this movie looks stupid. probably will be worse than the first (which was awful) All their movies look or are bad.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Star Wars Fan: Considering the first was one of my favorite movies ever, I can only hope that the new one offers more of the aspects you seem to dislike so much.
