By in United Kingdom,

Its an interesting choice, but its the sort of minifigure that wouldn't get made otherwise.

Its intriguing they didn't put in a classic yellow fig as with the last version

By in United States,

I think they should've waited until after Star Wars IX, but... Whatever.

By in Canada,

^ That will be the New New Edition!

By in United Kingdom,

I thought this was Willrow Hood for a second.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Aaaaaaaaaaaannnnd it sucks.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The best scene of the movie!

Also the fifth time I grimaced my first viewing. At least the Praetorians were cool?

Gravatar
By in Germany,

And the crowd goes mild.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Queue umpteen requests for Nien Nunb

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’d like to see Aunt Beru.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Nope, the Praetorians weren't cool. Kept randomly throwing their weapons to one side and why would you bother to fight after your masters death? They were Praetorians not Samurai

By in United States,

I have a Luke Skywalker minifig in a similar outfit, (from episode 5) and other than the hairpiece, I can’t say I’ve ever gotten any use out of him. (Either play value, or display value)
I feel like this minifig would be the same way.
As for other minifigs that could go in books... I don’t know. DC seems to put a lot of wanted characters in books, but the majority of Star Wars characters typically go in their sets, (or have in the past) and I don’t know who outside of the original EU they could put in that wouldn’t be similar to this one.
I hope, in the future... (since they’ll likely never put in original EU characters, which I’ve learned to accept) that they’ll put in characters that haven’t been in a set in a while and are do for an upgrade. (I’d give Episode 1 Padme for an example if she wasn’t going to be in a set this year)

By in Hungary,

I already have two editions of the LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary, so this one I will not buy. The Finn minifigure isn't appealing either.
I didn't like the yellow-headed Luke in the updated and expanded visual dictionary, but I did like the celebration-outfit Luke in the original one.
I would like Shaak Ti, Eeth Koth or Evem Piell from the old Jedi Order. These characters only exist as Clone Wars versions, I seriously miss them as normal SW figures (with normal face and eyes).

One armed Ponda Colne Marshal Commander Cody with phase II armor.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Massive Facepalm

Gravatar
By in Germany,

How about an actual Commander Cody from Episode III ? I still waiting for him since 2005.

Gravatar
By in Austria,

The scene in the movie wasn't funny, it was undignified. I feel for Boyega, he seems like a great guy, but his character got the short end of the stick in LJ.

By in United Kingdom,

If I'm to be honest this figure is quite meh but I have some interests into the actual book as I believe its an update to the 2014 The Visual Dictionary book that I loved so much I have even reviewed it here Brickset, don't feel pressured to read it :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

@mr_skinny I won't deny that. Even that part of the film was quite flawed, but relative to the rest of the Praetorians were pretty neat. (At least in concept.)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't mind this one. Unique and when else would it be made. I wouldve liked to see EpVIII Luke in his projection form from Krait though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I want a Bail Organa figure.

Gravatar
By in United States,

How about a non-canon Darth Bane (much better than now-canon Darth Bane)? Or Darth Krayt? Or ABELOTH (not sure if she's really canon or not - probably yes since Mortis is as part of the Clone Wars)?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I have several minifigs that could of been used instead of this lego, for instance :

Mace windu or leia in the bounty hunter outfit would of been better, or the black BB8..

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

Boring fig, boring character.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I think this character is a good choice since I doubt it will ever be in a set.

A character I really hope to see in a future LEGO Star Wars book or just in a set for that matter is Nien Numb or Armiral Ackbar.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

That one's an easy pass.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It’s just so meh. Star Wars has been for so long now. It’s been way too long since the theme has genuinely wowed me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Great choice for a minifigure, as it was unlikely to ever be made otherwise. Like others have said though, we need an Aunt Beru!

Gravatar
By in United States,

How about a new Darth Malgus minifigure? Especially since it is ridiculously overpriced on BrickLink. I could go for Darth Bane as well. Even an Admiral Ackbar. But Finn in a bacta suit? C’mon, they could do way better than this.
Let’s look at the bigger picture though. These books are constantly being produced, which means that next year this book will already be out of date. Every one of these contains everything up to the current releases. That means that every book is only containing a small amount of new material each time a new one comes out. So really what the point in getting these? Unless you want to fall for the pathetically transparent marketing scheme that this is, to make you buy a new book each year which contains mostly the same material year after year. I’ve never bought one of these and probably never will. That is until Lego stops production of Star Wars sets, they put in a new Darth Malgus, or they put in a 501st Clone Trooper.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Clone snow trooper from Ep3

Gravatar
By in United States,

Great way to relive that cringy moment from the Last Jedi. Next they should make a space-Leia minifig!

Gravatar
By in United States,

These book figs are always so disappointing. I always hope we will get something exclusive like Taun We, Lama Su, Boss Nass, Bail Organa, Zam Wesell, Tion Medon, Mas Amedda, Wat Tambor, etc. only to be disappointed when they release some boring variant. Only figs I've liked were the Han and Luke with medallions from episode 4.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

No interest to me as I find Finn the most boring character from the new trilogy and the bacta suit a rather pointless scene. Still, guess its nice for the collectors that have to have everything.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Tough crowd.

Gravatar
By in United States,

They should have killed off his character in EPVII - lame.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is an easy list to make because of the importance of these minifugres in their movies or media. Darth Malak (They made Revan), Darth Bane, Durge, Darth Plagueis, Rahm Kota (They made star killer), Saw Gerrera, Wat Tambor, Bail Organa, and Aunt Beru. I cannot believe Lego has not made these Minifigures, although I admit some will be hard, because of new parts.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I hardly remember that movie, but to be fair I did fall asleep through most of it.

With that said I think the figure looks good, but likely not one I HAVE to have at the present moment.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I quite like it... not my favourite for sure... But will be a nice addition to my sequel trilogy collection.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I’d like to see that hunchback Clone or Imperial Spy

Gravatar
By in United States,

Good looking figure but they could have also done an a new clone wars Ahsoka (not with the big Clone Wars eyes though)

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Galen Erso minifig please Lego, he's a key character in the storyline!!!

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

A good choice as it does very well to deter me from spending any money on this new edition.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

That's about as interesting as a Rose fig.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Not a great fig and surely they should have waited until after the ep IX sets are released.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Brilliant!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Wavelength
Jesus. I guess. These guys trigger easily.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I like it. They didn't have to include a minifig but they did. Already have it in pre-order on Amazon.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Hmm, that's a step down from McQuarrie Boba Fett.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I want Zuckuss and Dash Rendar
