By in United States,

I just re-watched The LEGO Movie 2, since it’s now available to buy digitally and liked it even better than I had after my first viewing.

But I will say, I REALLY want that new Benny Spaceship as a set. The one where he yells at someone for interrupting him while he’s “spaceshipping”.

Man oh man I want the Rexcelsior so bad. The others look great but that one, man. I hope my wallet can support it.

I saw all three of the SPIDERMAN: FAR FROM HOME sets on the shelves at Meijer in Englewood, OH yesterday. The Stark Jet looks great!

I wonder when the couch lech will release. That Rexelsior is awesome, will definitely have to pick it up. I hope the other three sets will be revealed too. So many opportunities for new sets came into my head just by rewatching the movie once. I’m hoping for maybe a set with a (spoilers)-

*battle between the Rex-Wings and some of the custom battle spaceships that the Appocolypseburgers and Systarians make. One with some of the Apocolypseburg custom attack vehicles. A large set of the wedding cake would be cool *cough* Systarian Benny & Metalbeard *cough* A set with more Raptors, with a variety of different back-mounted guns, and a variety of new plantimals. That could also do one with some of the harmony city buildings, as boringly 2-dimensional they are, and the sparkly super heroes, maybe even a redemption for mini-doll Wonder Woman figure and an official bicycle-built-for-two. I’d also love to see a set and/or minifigure series with Apocalypse versions of Alfred, Velma, the mermaid, the panda, and LARRY POPPINS and a properly faced Ice Cream Cone. I don’t think he ever smiles in the movie like he does in both of the sets. Also, extra Duplos monsters never hurt anyone.*

Those are just a couple of my ideas. Can’t wait to see what Lego does next for this set line and weather they continue this series with a third movie.

By in Canada,

Thank God! I've been waaaaiting for these to finally release. Reports of an April 16 release date and people finding them in the wild earlier this month ony made the wait that much more painful. I know what I'm going to be doing this weekend! :D

I wonder how well these will sell. One has to take into consideration the fairly lackluster box office performance of TLM2, the length of time since the movie was released, and how it would seem that most people have moved on to other things like Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man, Toy Story 4, and soon to be more with all of the upcoming sets. Personally I had wanted to get some of the second wave but the interest wore off after seeing the movie. Honestly I can say that I haven’t purchased one item from TLM2 since seeing it, and I wonder if anyone else has either. If you don’t see my point, just go to Walmart or Target and look at how much stock there is on (and above) the shelves. I’m thinking that all of the sets should have been released with the movie instead of waiting so long and now having to compete with more popular movie merchandise.
