Three weeks have passed since our Huwbot building contest was launched and we have already received about fifty unique entries!

Plenty of time remains to enter though as the competition will conclude on the 31st of July.

You can find out how to enter the contest, via either Flickr or Instagram, here.

By in Australia,

Some of those entries are quite adorable, and some of them are quite horrifying. I am absolutely in love with the picture of Huwbot above, though, surrounded by pink Clikits hearts. Can that be how I always picture Huwbot?

By in United States,

Mine entry is in, but I might make another if I have time.

By in United States,

Clicket hearts in the photo! Do you know what that means? Your creation HAS to include clickets!

No Clikits in mine, but it’s coming along nicely.

Weird... not much clickits in the gallery.

No Clikits in mine

By in United Kingdom,

I like the ones that manage to incorporate the brickset logo but there is a disappointing lack of clikits in those entries. Come on guys, get with the running joke!

By in Canada,

I like the “Brickset white” ones & the multicolour ones such as with yellow, blue, red, green

The one in the picture above is already Huwbot in my mind!!

Darn, forgot about this... think I gave up after not finding the bits I wanted in my spares box, and not wanting to dismantle stuff for the bits I needed...

These entries look great! My only issue is that a lot of them look more battle-ready than anything, when they should probably look more like a utility bot.

By in France,

I've seen many good ideas and designs, very creative people round there indeed! I wish I had such a talent to imagine and make a Lego rendition of what is in my mind. I have already done some quite good things but not on imposed topics. I'm sure it will be difficult to choose among so many good entries, and also that the winner will be fantastic.

By in Hungary,

I've found only one entry with a Clikits piece.

By in Canada,

I am of the opinion that if the final model dies not include at least one clikits piece, it should be disqualified. That said, lots of cool submissions. Can they be adapted to include at least one piece?

Well mines getting cobbled together now quite literally out of the random spare bits found down the back of the sofa.... much like the real Huwbot I imagine.

The main picture is Huwbot. Won’t be changing my mind.

By in United States,

I’ve been collecting legos for years since my dark ages ended. But I’ve kept them all new in their box. This competition inspired me to dig out my old legos and try to build a moc, only to discover that I’ve totally lost any ability to make things from scratch. I haven’t really messed with any legos since I was a kid and it’s totally pathetic how much I struggle now. Frustrating.. (also my bricks would probably show how old I am. I keep finding outdated ones)

Was wondering where the name Huwbot is coming from?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Does anyone watch the show Final Space? There was a spaceship AI named Huw that gets put into a robot at some point...becoming Huwbot.. although I don’t think they call him that. He’s still just Huw.

@ChrisBricks81, Huw is the main broheim who made brickset and runs it. He made a bot that automatically posts some things, hence HuwBot.

By in Netherlands,

Since I don't use Flickr or Instagram, I won't participate.

By in Papua New Guinea,

Have I missed some post about the prizes, or is that yet to come?

By in United Kingdom,

@Splashback: They were on the original post for the contest here:https://brickset.com/article/44209/competition-build-huwbot!

Basically a photo of your model will get used to illustrate Huwbot articles if you win, and first second and third will get a lego prize of some sort which hasn't been revealed yet.

By in Germany,

I'm with @ggfile: imho all entries that don't include at least ONE Clikits piece should be disqualified immediately, as those entries clearly are NOT a true representation of Huwbot ;-)

And anyway, to me the picture in this very article is how I will from now on be picturing Huwbot in my head.
