See which sets and minifigs are in LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed

Posted by ,

LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed is a brand new mobile game from Gameloft that was announced in May. It's currently being trialled in the Philippines and will be launched globally in a few months' time.

Players will be able to collect minifigures and interact with classic sets from the last 40 years while engaging in team battles and adventures.

The game's director Arnaud thought it would be cool if you could see, here at Brickset, which sets and minifigs are featured in the game. So, he's sent us a list and we've tagged them 'LEGO Legacy'.

At the moment there are 47 minifigs and eight sets and we are told that more will be added before it's launched globally, and that there'll be a steady stream of new content added in the future. We plan to keep the lists updated as and when that happens.

So, if you want to find out if your favourite figure made the cut, take a look!

Johnny Thunder and Dr. Kilroy are conspicuously absent.

By in Germany,

I would be more interested in knowing how the monetarisation works in this "free" game. :)

I can play as a Dragon Knight or the Bat Lord, I’m good

For something that uses the words 'legacy and 'heroes' I find the selection of sets and minifigures to be lacklustre and unimaginative. Almost the antithesis of 'legacy' and 'heroes'. It may be because my tastes and interests in lego are a little left of centre and that there doesn't appear to be any licensed themes here but I find this a let down. Surely there are better or more appealing minifigures and sets to have included initially. I was intrigued by this when I first hear about it but will give it a hard pass now.

By in Germany,

Other than 928/497 I find none of the sets particularly hero-like.

In any case, I'd rather have the physical sets and minifigs than some virtual representation. Don't know why I should waste my time on such a game.

Like Roger Murtaugh I think I'm too old for this sh**

Wooo, Ice Planet, Spyrius, Princess Storm!

Please don't be a pay to win IAP nightmare!

I think it's quite obvious why licensed themes are not included. At a glance there seems to be a nice spread of intial figs and themes. Guess Red spaceman was the only one remaining after TLM2 nabbed the others. Excited to see 6067-Guarded inn on the list and intrigued to see what the game is like.

By in Bulgaria,

It would be exciting if this spawned a few retro tie-in sets but probably not going to happen.

@Bumblepants: now THAT would be a reason to like the game.

Why can't LEGO do a "Retro" line of sets anyway? I mean if Playmobil can and does, why can't LEGO?
And don't start about "old moulds no longer available". Then make new ones of the old pieces for christ's sake! LEGO makes hundreds of new moulds every year, they could easily do a few more for those highly sought-after retro-pieces they abandoned in the past.

I am so happy they are using Ice Planet minifigs!!!

The minifigure selection looks very random. The sets seem cohesive except for the two newer ones.

Well it has Captain Redbeard and the Spyrius Droid so I'm happy...

#1 I'm glad they are trying to tie into Lego's legacy. But no Fabuland, Friends, or Monster Fighters seems weird.

By in Australia,

Lego go-to with this sort of thing are of course present: Ninjago and CMF.

Not at all interested in virtual LEGO, but if they re-issued real LEGO red Classic Spacemen, Magisto Wizard, Fright Knight Witch, Traitor Transport and Galaxy Explorer, I'd be absolutely thrilled.

I wish they will include Johnny Thunder!!!

Wow... my first-ever minifig is inthere (the 2005-ish construction guy). Still won't get the app though. I'm sick and tired of gameloft's anti-grinding techniques that just suck all the fun out and force you to pay obscene amounts of cash just to play more than ten minutes.

Like the recent LEGO Tower game, it's gonna be another freemium farce. There aren't many really iconic figures--but a whole bunch of CMFs; and not really notable ones either. And quite a few "random guys" from recent sets. I don't see Johnny Thunder, Clutch Powers, or any other LEGO creation in it. I do see one fig I have--the female paramedic from 2012's ambulance.

I wish freemium would be a thing that would go away--just charge for the app upfront and never ask another penny. Sort of, that was the way the original Tiny Tower game did; with it's VIP option. Yet, they went to a subscription plan for basically the same thing in LEGO Tower.

The minifigures seem particularly random. Even the few they have from Ninjago don’t really reflect the theme very well. Interested to see which ones they add in the coming months

As long as they have Zane I'm good. (to bad there's no Commander Cody or Jay)

I'm a bit concerned about the "battles" part - hope it doesn’t become just another standard brawler in legacy Lego costume.

As a Space fan, my quotas are met. We got 928, and a Blacktron fig (presumably in Spy-Trak's prison module). I'm intrigued.

No Johnny Thunder, or Adventurers set!
Now that's a CRIME!

Chicken Suit is in there so it's game of the year already.

@Andhe:
Of the five original Classic Spacemen, Benny's Space Squad only covered blue (Benny), White (Jenny), and yellow (Kenny). They still haven't done anything with black, plus now they also have green from the Exo-Suit.

I hope they add more characters in the future, because that roster is very underwhelming.

PS, if Gameloft is reading this, please put the day of the departed ninja in the game - DotD is the best version of the Ninja.

Thanks for sharing!

I do hope the gender representations in game is more evenly distributed than the minifigs tagged here.
