Tree House reveal imminent

Posted by ,

LEGO has just posted a teaster video for Ideas 21318 Tree House on social media which usually suggests that a full reveal is imminent.

I know you've all seen the set already thanks to a series of blunders but it's quite a cool video so I thought I'd share it anyway:

Fun video. It would have felt better if we hadn't seen the set already.

Be great if 100% of parts are made from plant sources

I'm just bursting w/excitement for the full reveal... no wait, that's just a "bathroom" feeling.

Seriously though it's a great set but and looking forward to reading the review here, and still won't have the funds to buy until Christmas (bummer).

By in Netherlands,

Did you notice this is filmed as an old school slide show, including the obvious error when Uncle John puts the previous slide back? (You probably must be over 50 to appreciate this.)
LEGO is definitely targeting this set to Afols!

By in France,

I really appreciate the idea of the old fashioned slide show, just as we used to do when I was a kid when in summer we all gathered for a few weeks in our aunt's house, and we spent one or two early evening looking at slides, to share memories of holidays or so and laughed a lot! And the concept of making a tree house from a seed that grew up into a huge tree, with all family members working on it is a great idea to present the set IMO. Too big for my budget but this would be a first day purchase if affordable. I hope, and am quite sure, that this set will be successful.

"Be great if 100% of parts are made from plant sources"

Currently Lego's only plant sourced bricks are foliage such as leafs and bushes. So it is certainly possible this set has a lot of plant based bricks with all the leaves for the tree, but all the main non-leaf bricks made out of ABS are certainly traditional petrochemical based.

^Yah but it seems like LEGO made a mistake or something during its "early" release. But anyhow, I'm pretty sure the treehouse will release this Wednesday for VIP members. Confirmed with my local LEGO store!
