If the title applies to you too, LEGO's community team would love to hear from you.

Sara Skahill writes: "We're running a workgroup about LEGO themed books. These can be official LEGO books, ones published by fellow AFOLs, ones you use for inspiration and ones you use for reference. Even if you don’t own any LEGO books, we still want to hear from you!"

If you're over 18, please complete this short questionnaire by 31st July.

If and when anything comes out of it, we'll let you know.

The 2011 LEGO Ideas Book remains my favorite LEGO book by far, with its showcases of and introductions to so many amazing AFOLs.

I used to get them and read them over and over.... AND for that exclusive minifig!!!!

By in United States,

I mostly get them for minifigs I want. Recently, the HP Build Your Own Adventure book will get some real use, as I plan to build some of the things shown.

...You other builders can't deny
That when a book pops up with a build on the page
And a wild MOC in your face
You get sprung, want to pull up tough
'Cause you notice that book was stuffed...

Took the survey as I would love a LEGO history book that is written more like a book instead of a pictorial like the official DK ones. Pictures are great and it helps for such a visual topic but not when there is 20 on the page

Could we get a 200+ page book on the history of BIONICLE? There is years of art and design from Throwbots/Slizers to Gen2 and everything in between (TECHNIC, HeroFactory, LEGO.com). Interviews with toy designers, artists, writers, animators, musicians, game&web designers, etc. High quality prints of promotional material, logos, comic and concept art. Maybe even a bonus cd with non-print content like music and video. Perhaps a collectible check list in the back

Love the Lego ideas books... those from 80s... I did get the character encyclopedia but then sold it off. Still prefer the old school ones.. ^_^V I still have the Fabuland books though. It would be nice to have more Lego books out...

The Lego books are great and all...but I want an World Book style encyclopedia of every Lego Minifigure made from 1978 to present.

By in Netherlands,

I own a comic about Jim Spaceborn. It didn't have any minifigs but instructions how to build things that were in the comic.
Who else here owns this comic.

Done and submitted. I love my Lego books. :) Can't get enough of them, whether they be inspirational, instructional, informational, or historical.

I like to read the history and development of popular themes, which is normally only covered in magazines.

Maybe some of the magazine publishers could produce an annual hardback of their best in-depth articles. I'd like to read these pieces, but don't feel it's worth buying a magazine (one full of reviews of sets I can judge for myself) just for the pages that do interest me.

@darthmar Yes, have that one too! Great adventures!

I only buy them for the minifigs.

I used to love the visual dictionaries as reference points for sets and minifigures released under a theme but Brickset has kind of made that redundant for me. I still get the updated books though.
I think what I'd like now is one with building techniques. @ me if you have any suggestions

Will take the survey, have got so many LEGO books already, mostly by DK and No Starch Press, but can always use some more ;-)

I buy the DC Super Hero books for my son and myself; we both enjoy the reference material and the exclusive minifigs. My only wish is for some Marvel Super Hero books to be published.
