City Advent Calendar - Day 2

Posted by ,

Day two of the calendar. Will we receive our first minifigure, or will it be a mini-model that we get every year?

There's only one way to find out...

Today we have the customary toilet roll flinger. No City Advent calendar is complete without one!

It must be a thing in Denmark to throw toilet rolls at each other in the winter but it's not something we do here in the UK: we use snowballs instead :-)

Nothing interesting or exciting today, then. It can only get better tomorrow...

By in Australia,

You know, the pain of opening my advent calendar in Australia, each morning, is that I knew the toilet roll flinger was coming, and everybody was joking about it yesterday ... but I couldn't say anything, otherwise I'd spoil everybody thanks to the international date line.

Anyway, this one seems appropriately winter-y, which I liked. I imagine the ice fort (that's clearly visible all over the box) can't be too far away.

By in Sweden,

This was so underwhelming. Too small and I already have enough flingers. On top of that, still no minifigure to play with it. Looks like something that belongs to Lego Friends. 2/5

@Zordboy thanks for taking one for the team and keeping mum

By in United Kingdom,

I realise they want play features for the kids, but has anyone ever launched snowballs via catapult instead of just throwing them?

Just brutal.

Ah, so that's what "toilet paper flinger" meant.

By in Italy,

I've always thought which uses may have the catapult piece...

@Zordboy you could always delay opening your calendar a day so it's a December 2 to 25th holiday calendar ;)

I've always wished that holiday calendars included the 25th.

By in Sweden,

Ha, you called it! =)

In Denmark they don't get much snow so they probably have to fling something else when they feel like it.

FWIW, my 4-year old loved the "snow launcher", as he called it. We'd never done Lego Advent Calendars before.

Has this part ever been issued in light blue before?
