City Advent Calendar - Day 4

LEGO has produced around 300 mini-models for City Advent calendars over the years so coming up with something original must be difficult.
However, I don't recall seeing anything like today's model before...
BrickLink is calling it a Snow Fort which I suppose is a reasonable description in the absence of anything definitive.
It might be novel, but it's a bit boring: the only redeeming feature being the 1x1 pyramids on the top, of which we receive a spare.

It's ok. I appreciate the originality but you need more than originality to create a good build. It looks incredibly cheap with only one ice wall. It should've been bigger. The ice sculpture from the 2017 calendar was way better. 3/5
Boy am I glad that our little ones have a Playmobil calendar (or two, actually...) :)
It's a goal post for the loo roll launcher, just like rugby H posts.
A more contrasting background would have been better.
The perfect rendition of a full size lego Castle. They only do facades now. I miss the good old days of square baseplate and 4 sided builds
my 10 year old was happy: 'these blue pyramids are quite rare' - my kids start to get their priorities right :-)
I don't know, I kinda like it. It's a nice little ice fort. Plus, it gives you something to aim those toilet rolls for with the catapult.
Nice review! But along with AgentKallus it would be a lot easier to see if the background was a darker gray.

Seen from the perspective of my 4-year old, he LOVES this. Day 2 and Day 3, as he opened their flaps, he was bouncing with anticipation, "I hope it's the snow castle!" When it finally was today, he was overjoyed, "It is! It is!"
(Then he proceeded to send all the parts flying when he overeagerly ripped the bag open, and we had to spend minutes tracking them all down in the carpet and under chairs, the cabinet and sofa.)
Afterwards, he grabbed the "snow launcher" from Day 2 and shot field goals through/over the castle, as illustrated on the box.
Oh, you can put the toilet roll flinger behind it. Wonderful.
So it's not Elsa's bidet from Frozen 2?
Might not mean much on it's own, but with the snow flinger it's a nice target.
Also like the use of transparent lightblue over just full white even while it might not be realistic, LEGO been using it for cold themed builds for a while now so it's ok.
So, the might have used a 2x4 and a 1 x 4 plate, but that would be an embarassingly low part count, right?
