City Advent Calendar - Day 20
Posted by Huw,It's been a few days since our last minfigure and there's still two to come, so fingers crossed...
We're in luck! Today we have a girl on a showboard attired in a warm-looking jacket and an ushanka hat (no, I didn't know that was what it was called, either...). The medium azure and white hat first appeared last year in a couple of the City Arctic sets.
Although an identical figure was available in 60203 Ski Resort released in September, it's still a very welcome inclusion in the calendar!
7 minifigs down, one to go. I wonder who that'll be? :)

Could always swap this torso with the day 3 figure for people who want a full azure figure as comments were back then.
This figure will be having fun on Hoth but, have you heard of thw updated ToS in BrickLink?

Gosh, I love that hat piece.
I wonder if the 'X' logo on her jacket is a subtle reference to the old Extreme Team town subtheme, the minifigures from which have an 'X' in much the same font in a similar place on their jackets too...
Also, I like this minifigure. She's cute ^^

It's a reference to Xtreme so likely a reference to Town , seen on various other Sports/Racing sets : 2017 Stunt Truck, 2019 Snow Groomer and 2020 Race Boat+Transporter.
Beside that, there's been the "Sport", "Vita Rush", "Gear" brands, which cover various sports/racing in sets. (just naming the ones seen in more then 1 set so far).
Both Sport and Xtreme brands are in the Ski Resort set.
Yay! Now Rex can have a snowboard, so he can roar and scream in fear that he can't balance due to his little arms!(Toy Story)
The last figure is probably an elf or santa
@Huw you mean snowboard, not showboard. Although without proper snow I guess you could say this minifig is displayed on a board for show! heh.
@Huw that's right, this hat is called Ushanka, it's a russian winter hat. We call it Shapka Ushanka. Shapka means hat. In our days people in my country use it only in northern regions of Russia where the temperature is too low, such as Siberia.
