Friends Advent Calendar - Day 16

Two thirds through! I think the theme for this calendar is turning out to be....eclectic. Thinking about the builds so far, we've had everything from penguins to a stereo to a train. Of course, the benefit of an eclectic calendar is that pretty much anything will fit. So with that in mind, let's take a look at Day 16.

Over the last few days, I've been getting much more of a traditional advent calendar vibe. This mailbox is a calendar staple, and this version includes a piece of mail. This is a nice little build, and checks the box for purple, but alas, no star.

I know the theme of the past two friends advent calendars has been ornaments, but wasn’t there supposed to be an alternative build last year- what was it? Or has that concept been dropped completely?

@Kynareth - you have a good memory! Last year the calendar promoted a surprise or something similar that would be unlocked on December 24. It turned out to be a game that could be played and didn't include alternate builds, so I didn't cover it here.

Thanks for that, I've been wondering all year and couldn't find any answer when googling either.
