Friends Advent Calendar - Day 18

Posted by ,

Yesterday's build was a mystery to me, which is probably not a good thing when you're dealing with an advent calendar - it's supposed to be a mystery before opening, not after! Hopefully we'll have something a little less cryptic for Day 18, which marks three quarters through the calendar. Christmas is less than a week away!

Ah, this is much better! I have a soft spot for nutcrackers (I have no less than two dozen nutcracker ornaments on my Christmas tree), so I'm quite pleased to see this here. Nutcrackers have been a staple of some advent calendars, and I think this is quite a nice model considering this year's (seeming) theme of smaller ornaments. I really like that the designer stuck with the traditional nutcracker colours with a red coat and blue trousers without "Friendifying" (is that a word? It is now) the colours.

By in Spain,

Probably the best model I have seen this year of this Advent calendar. I will reproduce it :)

Even seems to follow the Danish Royal Guard Company's ceremonial dress colour scheme.

I am just catching up on your news reporting - love the name "santa zobo", but your comment that it cannot be hung on the tree... I think LEGO intended part 4632566 in santa zobo to be used to hang the robot on the tree. I opened my calendar on dec 13, built it, fell in love with it, and said to myself that everyone with lego sw advent calendars will be jealous today, then strung string through the hole and hung him up on the tree with the rest of the friends ornaments.
