Friends Advent Calendar - Day 19

Yesterday's nutcracker was a nice, traditional, advent calendar build. Now that we're heading into the final days of the calendar, maybe we'll see several more festive builds? Maybe even traditional colours? I'm also guessing we might see at least one more star!

You can't get much more festive than a Christmas tree! I quite like this rendition, though I'm not really clear on the purpose of the pink clear 1x1 pieces used as spacer on the lower branches. However, I do like the use of all these cheese slopes (even if I did attach them somewhat crookedly). This is also meant to be hung, and it's nice to see the calendar designer didn't disappoint us with yet another star. Star count so far: 7

This looks REALLY sad. Almost like those remains of Christmas trees before they get thrown out in early January.
Pitiful. And why those lime pieces in the center? Last thing I knew Christmas trees (real as well as fake) tend to have brown trunks in the center.
I believe the designer used green tree trunk pieces as brown would have made the tree look more bare. The brown trunk would've been very prominent, which is not typical of actual Christmas trees (except for the sad Charlie Brown type). Overall, I think it's decent, but not great. My daughter and I were more impressed overall w/last years' Friends calendar.
I think Megan agrees with us all as it's not rated LOL. Better than most days, probably, execution is lacking as others have said.
Very sad indeed.
