Meet a member: Divinity3d
Posted by MeganL,Today, we're going to meet Tiffeny, aka Divinity3d, a chemist and a fellow Californian - however much to the south - in Bakersfield, California.
Is there a meaning behind your Brickset username? I did 3D studio graphics and kept it for anything 3 dimensional, like LEGO.
What is your first LEGO memory?
At 3, I got a police car. As soon as I got my first set, I wanted more and bought left and right, I had Lego and tyco, which were the same specs early on and I saved my money from every birthday to buy more. First big set was an airport and my cousins and I played and built houses every chance we got.
Did you have a dark age and if so what caused you to emerge from it?
No dark age unless you could call sorting for 3 years a dark age!
Which set or theme has been most influential upon you, as a LEGO fan?
Love City and Train.
What are you building right now?
Modding a modular, the diner.
How do you store your LEGO?
Sorted shapes and colors, lots of bins and containers, shelves and such.
Do you build MOCs? If, so what?
Trains and houses, skyscrapers and everything a city needs. For my mods, I like to change colours, profile bricks, things to change the look of the set. I'm hugging Bill Ward's bear in the picture at the top.
What is your favourite part? Hmm right now it’s part 20482 nipples and the 1x1 pyramid part. With all the new pieces, I can’t tell you what it’ll be in a week.
What set (take your pick) would you like LEGO to produce?
Remake more old sets that we really enjoyed. I'm very excited about that new pirate set.
How long have you been visiting Brickset? Been a member?
Since at least 2010!
What's your favourite/most used feature of the site?
I like that it keeps track of your collection, however mine is not up to date. I really appreciate the way you can see if you can build something with the parts you own.
Are you a member of a LUG? Many LUGs! BayLUG, OCLUG, LUGOLA, SANDLUG, PCHLUG.
Have you been to a LEGO event? I help with organizing Bricks by the bay and BricksLA every year. I’ve also visited Brickcon and Bricks Cascade.
Thanks, Tiffeny! Would you like to be next? Please let us know!
